About Jacque Delaunay
My husband and I grew up in the islands, raised 3 beautiful daughters and now have 6 grandsons. Prior to moving to Maui in 1999, we lived in Kailua on Oahu and then spent 9 years in Waimea on the Big Island. The North Shore of Maui provides all the activities we enjoy from golf and tennis to biking and walking the beach. We have embraced Maui's slow pace and laid back lifestyle. We love to travel and have stayed in many private vacation rentals so know the importance of providing a comfortable and friendly environment. My husband and I retired recently from our contracting and real estate careers and now put our energy into managing and maintaining our vacation rental business.
Jacque Delaunay purchased this Cottage in 2001
Why Jacque Delaunay chose Paia
Historic Paia Town has become one of maui's most popular attractions. It is situated on the edge of Paia Bay and provides a location and vibe not found in any other town in Maui. Our property provides the perfect location to walk to the beach and all the wonderful restaurants and boutiques. This is all about location, location, location!
What makes this Cottage unique
We bought our property and developed it into 3 plantation style cottages, in keeping with the architectural design of the town and era. 2 of the cottages are in a fenced and gated setting and provide a very 'island vibe' that visitors will enjoy as much as we do. It is very laid back and yet the island and coastal decors of the cottages provide comfort and beauty.

Great time in Paia
Paia is such a great little town, and it was great to be staying within walking distance. Just a short walk down the road is a bunch of great restaurants and shops, as well as some great beaches.
The house was nice. It had everything we needed. It was great to have the privacy of our own cottage. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Maui.
Cute cottage with all the acessories!
I will be back!
We are so grateful to have found such a comfortable and adorable place in Paia. We truly felt we were home away from home. We were able to meet Danny and Jacque, who are such wonderful hosts, and it was a great surprise to discover that they know my parents on the island. Our accommodations made it possible for us to host a BBQ for them at our Paia Cottage, and we had such a wonderful time. This location really makes it easy for us to visit family and so many of my favorite parts of the island with ease. We can’t wait to be back.
Peaceful and great location!!
This cottage was so clean and adorable. The location can’t be beat. Just a quick walk to the fun town of Paia. We loved our stay here! We will be back!
Suited me perfectly (single traveller)
Well set up and clean. Very convenient location. Quiet. Clear instructions to locate the property. Plenty of room for 1 or 2 guests.
PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT
This home was perfect in so many ways! To start, the location was 10/10. It's about a 5-10 minute walk into town, which is great because parking was EXTREMELY LIMITED around all of the shops. There is a small liquor store about 3 or 4 houses down that had a great selection of drinks, snacks and small toiletries. The house was private, quiet, and felt safe. The bed was super comfy with soft sheets and plush pillows. The house also provided clean bath and beach towels with beach chairs and a cooler. A/C unit was a great addition, even in December :) .There were guests staying in the other house on the property, but we barely saw them and the yard provided a nice dividing area. There is shared laundry with not only the other house on the property, but also with the other house next door. Great to have, but would not count on doing laundry while you are here b/c it was being used our whole trip...Most of the time, the same load sitting for a few days. The host, Jacque, was amazing! Very responsive to our many texts and questions! We only saw her once, when she brought us a baking sheet when we found out there wasn't one in the house! I thought that was really great! The kitchen had pretty much everything else we needed while we were there. This place is a gem and we hope to be back soon!
Paia is a reflection of its history as a booming sugar cane plantation town with its old plantation style wooden buildings still intact. This quaint and charming little beach town has an array of fine specialty shops, boutiques, surf shops, antique stores, bakeries, and even an old fashioned tattoo parlor. Award wining restaurants offer everything the discerning diner could want from casual bites, to the full service internationally renowned seafood of Mama's Fish House. Mana Foods, the legendary grocery store built on local, organic principals is five minutes walk.
Spa services and yoga studios are all within easy reach.
World class windsurfing beach, Ho'okipa Beach is in one direction and Kanaha Beach Park in the other, along with Baldwin Beach Park and Baby Beach. They are all within a five minute drive. Paia Bay and Baldwin Beach are about a 10 minute walk from the cottage.
All areas of the Island are within easy driving distance from the road to Hana to the slopes of Hale'akala. You will enjoy this local Maui experience.
