A really well appointed apartment that, without exception, has pleased our guests (see genuine reviews). Furniture, linen and equipment have been well cared for by our magnificent renters. We are proud to offer the apartment again as it still meets our high standards.

The apartment is in an elevated position on a gently sloping site. Inside the apartment is light and spacious. The Lounge/Dining Area looks out onto a very spacious Balcony with delightful sea and mountain views. Our own Roof Sun Terrace is accessed by our Private Staircase. It is lit for evening dining (lights are controlled by our apartment). Unrestricted views and built in BBQ make this an ideal area to while away the warm lazy days. Our Balcony is part shaded to give sun or shade as required.

The Master Bedroom is En Suite; there is a twin Bedroom, a separate family bathroom with bath and shower, and a fully fitted kitchen to complete the comfort.

A comprehensive Information Pack (area, apartment details, site description, restaurants, places to visit, etc) is sent to guests in good time before the visit. There is also in the apartment another information file which repeats much of the information and also gives detailed operation instructions on all appliances.

Cyprus is really a paradise for all sorts of natural and water sports. Our luxury apartment is only a short drive away from a championship standard golf courses which is open all year around. A lively atmosphere can be found without it being 'in your face' all the time. It therefore suits all ages, topped off with a genuine Turkish Cypriot welcome.

We offer value second-to-none packages for four people where you stay in a top notch environment. We believe that we are by far the most economical way to have your holiday and that it cannot be matched by any hotel.

Now some more about the apartment and the location.

Why did we choose this apartment, and why in this area? We bought the apartment because we could see that it was going to be a fantastic development - and we were right! We have made many improvements and have fully equipped it with Free WiFi, satellite TV, DVD player, CD player and radio, coffee filter, etc.

There is also a water cooler which is a boon for the Summer. The apartment is air conditioned in the main bedroom and in the lounge/dining room. The second bedroom has a ceiling fan because guests have told us that they like the option of cooling air movement for themselves and for their children. There is a wall safe in the apartment to give guests that extra feeling of comfort (even though Northern Cyprus is a low crime location). There is a baby's high chair in the apartment, and additional baby equipment (cot (including linen), buggy, etc, can be hired on request at time of booking).

Throughout the apartment tasteful quality pictures complete the brightness of the decor .

The site itself is totally secure and beautifully kept by the management company, and the feeling of community between the few that live on the site and holidaymakers is wonderful. It is a really good mix of the local people who live close to the site, and in Esentepe Village. The site is a profusion of gardens. It has a full size swimming pool, and a childrens pool. Both are illuminated and they make a lovely sight at night looking down from our balcony or roof terrace. Covered areas around the pools and copious numbers of sun loungers and tables make this an ideal spot to relax, and to feel safe that children can be kept in the shade under the generously sized shades (6m x 3m).

The site gymnasium is fully equipped with running machines, weights, table tennis table, etc. The gymnasium is where the book and DVD library is situated. There is even a set of golf clubs for free hire (if available).

For our valued guests in the event of emergencies our agent is at the end of a telephone to give that added assurance of a relaxing holiday.

Esentepe village is only a short walk (of about 30 minutes) along a gently sloping road. We have safely and comfortably walked to and from the village at all times after a pleasant meal in one of the local restaurants there. At night the natural star light is a wonderful backdrop to a delightful walk. The village is also served by timetabled Buses that will transport you to many places. In summary, the Esentepe area has all the rugged beauty of an unspoilt area and yet still has all amenities close by. Local supermarkets in Esentepe serve all day to day necessities at reasonable prices.

Visits and Special Interest Holidays: Activities available in North Cyprus are fishing, Golf, scuba diving, paragliding,

mountain climbing, water parks, horse riding, boat tours, walking, bird watching and guided nature walks. The list goes on. Walking in the mountains is breath taking. There are beaches nearby where the Turtles come up to lay their eggs in the sand. (May to July). The eggs hatch out between July to Sept. Ornithologists 'flock' to the Karpaz ('the Pan Handle') to witness the many bird migrations that occur, either as a stopping off point en route to Africa, or as their Winter 'second home'.

There is a Cyprus guide book in our apartment, and many recommendations are contained in the comprehensive Guest Information Manual that we have prepared over many years. Visits to historical castles such as St Hilarion, Buffavento and Kantara together with the Bellapais Abbey, and the Shipwreck Museum in Kyrenia Harbour make for interesting days out. Famagusta and Salamis are also a must for visiting, in particular for the walled city (Famagusta) and the ancient ruins (Salamis).

Getting here: Ercan is our nearest airport in Northern Cyprus (30 mins drive). You can also fly to Larnaca in the south (about 1.5 hours drive). We can help with planning Car Hire or Airport Pick Ups on request. Our recommended car hire company (we have been using them for 5+ years), give excellent car hire rates. They also give heavily discounted taxi rates for collection from and return to Larnaca Airport for their car hire renters.

We are an active retired couple who have come to love Northern Cyprus for its peace, and the opportunity for some great walks. We come to the apartment several times per year to ensure that our standards are maintained, although our agent has not disappointed us in all the years that they have looked after our second home.

We loved the apartment, beautiful accommodation it followed our stay at Crystal Marina which we thought would be hard to beat, but it was all the little touches and extras that made it perfect. The only downside of our stay was the weather , the electrical storms and hail caused quite a lot of power cuts.

Anyway all in all had a great time and left your apartment as it was when we arrived, we also minimised our use of towels etc and completed the small extra list you had left including last but not least turning the water off.

Thank you once again will do a comment on Owners Direct and hopefully go back again later in the year.

  • The washing machine is in the spacious Bathroom 1 which makes it noiseless to the lounge and other areas of the apartment when operating . Community rules request all guests to not use washing machines overnight so as not to disturb the sleep of guests in other apartments.

Notes:
The property is on a small, private, gated development. There are 88 apartments on the development all only ground and first floor. The apartment enjoys being on the first floor which allows a private rooftop sun terrace (75m2) with BBQ. The full width apartment terrace of 27m2 is accessible through patio doors from the lounge and bedrooms. The apartment terrace is one third covered with a sun shading roof to provide shade when required. Both the terrace and the sun terrace enjoy magnificent views of the coast, pool and the backdrop of mountains. An outside patio set (table and chairs and parasol), and sun loungers with cushions are kept at the apartment for use on the apartment terraces. The apartment is suitable for active elderly and for children. Satellite TV (free) Tea, coffee, milk, etc are supplied as a welcome pack to enable a restful 'cuppa' while recovering from the journey! Our local agent is on call to help for any questions or to help in emergencies.

Excellent Cypriot Holiday

Another brilliant holiday in a very comfortable and well-equipped apartment. The roof terrace is great for reading/sunbathing while the large, shaded balcony is perfect for eating outside. There is a Tempo supermarket close by with a delicatessen and a good range of products. Esentepe village is a pleasant stroll away, especially if you take the back road.

An excellent location for a large number of walks in the foothills of the Kyrenia mountain range and visits to Kantara castle, the atmospheric ruined city of Famagusta and the Karpas peninsula.

There is a range of good local restaurants. We particularly liked the Sea View for excellent fish, Tuncay'n Yeri

Perfect

Booking was easy, Norman answered all my many qustions and sorted lots extras for us. We got in very late taxi driver unfortunately didn't know where complex was (wish I'd printed details off instead relying on Internet that didn't work at that time) anyway even though very late appartment looked great at that time everything it said it was and more. When we woke in morning the view was amazing much better than any photos. Everyone was very friendly the pool was never too busy which l never believed being peak season, others that return every year were helpful and we have become friends with many of them. The complex was clean and tidy. Gym was never busy lovely aircon. Restaurants we visited were all good food. Released baby turtles experience never to be forgotten. Brilliant holiday, amazing place. We will be returning. Thank you again Norman for all your help. Donna.

Nice apartment with great views

I own a Villa in Esentepe, unfortunately we were unable to stay due to it being let on a long term agreement. We had looked at Hotels but all are a closer to Kyrenia, and we really wanted to stay in the Esentepe area as we know this well and have friends who live in this area.

We found this apartment and thought we would give it a go, and we are really happy that we did, a lovely apartment with everything one needs for a comfortable stay, all you need to take is your cloths and sun tan lotion and beach towel.

A really nice touch of tea coffee, milk, bread and butter was there for our arrival and was most welcome after arriving late.

Helpful information was laid out by the owners from how to use appliances, to local places to dine, along with places to visit, which if visiting for the first time one would find very helpful

The grounds and gardens are well maintained and the pool was fantastic, quite while we were there but this was what we wanted, we were made to feel welcome by Owners/Residents and had many pleasant conversations round the pool.

Site is secured with electronic gates, and the views from the balcony and roof terrace were stunning.

If i continue to let my own property i would not hesitate to return to this site, and would happily recommend to people/families looking to holiday in Northern Cyprus.

Many thanks to the owners / and agents for making it a easy pleasant experience from booking to checking out.

Fantastic holiday (Five stars not the three that appear above)

My daughter and I had a wonderful week's holiday in Norman and June's apartment. The apartment had everything we needed and more. We made good use of the bbq and the dvds. We were surprised how quiet it was as it was the height of the holiday season. The pool was lovely and we spent a lot of time there as it was too hot to go far, I was under the olive tree most of the time! We enjoyed a lovely meal out on the last night at the Esentepe restaurant, lovely simple food while watching the sun go down. All in all a great experience. Thanks June and Norman xx For some reason it won't let me give the property five stars which is what it deserves

Lovely apartment with geat views

We spent a fabulous fortnight in this lovely comfortable and well-equipped apartment. The complex is small and quiet and ideal for couples or families with children. The views from the balcony over the swimming pools and from the roof terrace to the mountains are beautiful. It was lovely to read and watch the spectacular sunsets from the roof.

The glass dining table in the living room provides plenty of space to accommodate four to six people but for eating outside the table on the balcony I think might be a bit cramped for more than two adults. What could be even better would be to have the small table on the roof terrace and perhaps a larger table on the balcony. But this is the merest of quibbles. There is an excellent Tempo supermarket a few minutes away by car and there are lots of really good restaurants nearby. We particularly liked the Sea Breeze (the sea bream and sea bass were excellent), Remsi's in Esentepe village and, for a change from Turkish fare, the Caribbean restaurant The Coconut. The Coconut is quite small and booking is essential but the atmosphere is very friendly, the owners very welcoming and the food beautiful.

The apartment is ideally located for lots of good walks, Algadi turtle beach, visits to Kantara castle, Bellapais Abbey, the Karpaz peninsula, Kyrenia and Farmagusta. A hire car, however, is essential.

All in all, a brilliant holiday and we definitely hope to return next year.

Our local village:

The apartment is about 1 km from the authentic Cypriot village of Esentepe with small supermarkets and inexpensive restaurants. Several have outside terraces with magnificent views of sea and mountains and serving both local and international food.

Kyrenium Golf Club (10 mins drive) has fine dining and comfortable lounges.

Kyrenia:

The beautiful historic harbour town of Kyrenia (Girne) is an easy 25 minute drive with a profusion of quay side restaurants, bistros and quiet night life. Our regularly updated recommendations are contained in the Guests Information Pack in the apartment.

Coast/Beaches:

Only 10 minutes drive to the West are beaches at Alagadi, Acapulco, Turtle Beach, Lara Beach. Most have beach side restaurants. 30 minutes drive to the East are the Karpaz beaches which are recognised universally as 'magnificent'.

Local attractions:

Where do we start! Esentepe is a traditional Cypriot delight, for natural coastlines, countryside and archaeology

Golf: For Golfers the beautifully laid out championship standard 18 hole Korineum Golf course is fast gaining a reputation that is attracting Golfers from all over the world. It is only a 10 minute drive from the apartment. The co-located Academy has a practice ground, pro shop, and a wide range of equipment for sale or hire. The Club House has a superb Spa, and outside balconies to watch the golfers toiling away, while enjoying a drink or snack, or full dining.

Hopefully never to be required, but there is a 24hour Medical Facility in Esentepe.
