Upstairs, there are two living areas in an open loft: One area is a large area with a poker table with chairs for 10, a flat screen TV, stereo system, leather sofa, plus a mini kitchen area and half bathroom. The other area is a small reading area with a desk for those wanting to relax or work on the computer. The two upstairs bedrooms are on the opposite side of the second floor from the poker area. Between the two bedrooms in the hallway is another full bathroom, with a shower/bathtub combo and toilet and a separate sink and vanity area. The upstairs living areas and bedrooms are carpeted.
DINING AREAS: There are several dining areas: The formal dining room has seating for 6; the exterior covered patio has a table and cushioned chairs for 6; the table in the bay window of the kitchen (looking out to the pool) has stools for 4; the breakfast bar has seating for 3.

NEIGHBORHOOD & STRIP ACCESS: The home is approximately 5-6 miles from both the famous Las Vegas Strip and McCarran International Airport, and is 1.5 miles from the 215 freeway making the home convenient for access all over the Las Vegas area. Shopping is a breeze: As you drive to the strip, you'll pass the Las Vegas Premium Outlets shopping center and then pass the lovely European-style Town Square shopping center - and both are filled with restaurants, too! Even closer to the house - just around the corner - is a modern Smith's supermarket with everything you might need from simple snacks or to supplies to cook gourmet meals. In the same shopping center is a Walgreen's for any drug store needs. Both are open 24 hours. There are also several fast-food places in the same shopping center.
HOUSING COMMUNITY: We respect our neighbors in our delightful, small and very calm subdivison of homes and hope to rent to respectful travelers who understand they will become a temporary part of the neighborhood. This is a family home, and not a 'PARTY HOUSE.' The community has an access gate (no guard) for residents. We hope you will enjoy your stay here as much as we do!
RATES & LENGTH OF STAY: We favor longer rentals and do not rent the home non-stop to help maintain the quality of our home and to respect our neighbors. We prefer a one-week minimum (7 nights) and the weekly rate will apply to stays shorter than one week. Rates are more advantageous for longer stays, with a very reasonable starting rate of $3500 USD per month.
We hope our Haven in Vegas will be YOUR Haven in Vegas on your upcoming trip to this amazing city!
I'm an American who splits time between Las Vegas and Paris, France. I love working with travelers from around the world and hope to share my new Las Vegas homes with travelers, friends and family!
Paula Caballero purchased this house in 2013
Living in Paris, France is a dream come true for me, but sometimes I miss the sunshine. Something else we miss in Paris is space! This home is enormous compared to my tiny studio apartment in Paris, so it's a joy to relax at this spacious home in Las Vegas and enjoy the sun, a blue sky, a private pool, and palm trees. My childhood best friend, Carla, and her entire family live in Las Vegas and after I made a visit in 2012, she helped me develop my project to purchase a home. In fact you might meet Carla when you arrive at my home because she's likely the one who will greet and welcome you!
The main thing I love about this house is that it is less than 10 minutes from The Strip and all the great restaurants and entertainment, and yet the home itself is completely calm and peaceful and has everything I need to relax. The shopping is great and access to everything is so easy! Basically, you can have the best of both worlds at this home!
The house is just perfect for any length of stay. It is well maintained and lovely. Using the hot tub after a desert hike and sitting on the patio looking at the palm trees were highly enjoyable. The location of the house is great since you have an easy drive to the Strip, Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead and many restaurants and stores in the area. The owner and property manager are the best and they take care of any issue immediately. I highly recommend this property.
We had an excellent experience at this lovely home in Las Vegas. The home is well maintained and provided all the provisions we needed for a wonderful Christmas holiday week. We could not have asked for a better rental experience. The owner and property manager were so easy to work with and made the entire experience terrific. They even had a Christmas tree set up for us which made our holiday more festive. The house is beautiful and has all the amenities you could want including a swimming pool and hot tub. We found the location to be very convenient. Even though it is not on the strip, there was easy access to any part of the city you want to access. Also, a grocery store and other shopping is very close. We will definitely look at returning to this house if we are traveling to Las Vegas again. If you are looking for a place for a family get together or for a reunion of sorts, this is a place you should definitely consider.
Everything was perfect. Looking forward to renting this home again. Paula is a doll.
5 stars all the way! We had an awesome experience here and enjoyed every minute of it. My Only complaint is, they need the fixed the pool heater.
I stayed with my husband and 3 family members at Paula's home for a week. It was a great choice. We were there for family matters and so the home mostly served as a home base for us as we preferred that over staying in a few different hotel rooms.
The pictures reflect the home perfectly. It's very tidy and clean- you can tell the housekeeper does a thorough job. There is a great welcome book that has all the details you need about the house and there are thoughtful touches throughout to make life easier- like labels on the tv remotes and on the light switches, signs on the garage door reminding you of trash procedures, personalized key codes to the doors, etc.
There are plenty of spaces to rest and relax and so we never felt crowded, this house would be comfortable even with a group double the size. The back patio is also great- the table is nice and shaded and there is plenty of seating. It's also super private with a high wall. The pool was too cold - unfortunately there's not heating option (as indicated in the description). However, the hot tub is great. It takes a few hours to heat so just prepare ahead of time.
It's in a great location- within 10 minutes to the strip and what feels like 5 minutes to the airport. There are plenty of grocery stores and other amenities nearby. It's a super quiet and cozy neighborhood. We settled right in and it felt like our own home.
Paula was very responsive during the planning and Carla was a gracious welcome host and gave us a great tour. It was all around a great house that I would recommend! As stated in the description, it definitely isn't a party house and I wouldn't come back with friends, but it's a fantastic spot for a family to stay together rather in hotels.
This being our second stay, we have come to think of Paula's home as our home. We bring the family ,and staying in a home ,that is a real home made life easier. the home is decorated in such a style that just seems to welcome you home when dealing with everything Las Vegas can offer. The family is already making plans to return.
Everything you could want in a quiet, gated, residential neighborhood with a supermarket, drug store and restaurants literally 1 minute outside the community gate. Drive 10 minutes at be at the south end of the famous Las Vegas Strip! Along the drive, stop at the Las Vegas Outlet Center or the lovely European-style Town Square shopping center. Nearby golf courses and tennis courts for sports enthusiasts. You'll feel at home and away from it all, while being just a quick drive from everything Las Vegas has to offer!
