About Bill or Bonnie

I am a flight attendant for a major airline and I bought this property because my son lives in the same neighborhood. It's great to get away for just a couple days and have a beautiful place to stay.

Bill or Bonnie purchased this house in 2012

Why Bill or Bonnie chose Phoenix

It's a perfect get a way for the person that would like to have the feel of home without the feel of a large hotel. It's minutes from Sky Harbor, downtown Phoenix, ASU, Tempe, Spring training camps, and much more. We suggest checking the map to see if it fits your needs.

What makes this house unique

We bought this free standing town home because of the privacy, unlike a hotel. The convenience of the location is good for many needs like - restaurants, activities, college, weddings, friends, family, and most of all our grandchildren.

Perfect home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time using VRBO, and it was a success. Not being familiar with Phoenix, I messaged Bonnie to get some location information and she was very responsive.

The house was great - very clean, main level living (we didn't need the bedroom downstairs), AC that worked great and we loved having a garage to park in. The kitchen was equipped with everything, so cooking was nice. The washer and dryer were also convenient. It was just me and my husband, so we had plenty of space. We didn't go to the pool, but it looked nice. It was very quiet at night, and no traffic noise.

We drove around a lot so getting on the freeways going both directions was minutes from the house.

I had some questions thoughout our stay and Bonnie and Bill were great to reply by phone and email.

I would highly recommend staying here. It was so much more comfortable than staying at a hotel. It felt like home.

Thank you Bill and Bonnie!

Light & bright with all the necessities

  • 4 of 5

Very nice home with quick access to South Mountain, downtown Phoenix, and the airport. The kitchen had all the necessities and toiletry items were well stocked. Having laundry in the garage was a nice bonus! One thing we didn't realize when booking was that the 2nd bedroom is on the ground floor while the master is upstairs, which wasn't ideal with the little one, but we made it work. It was really nice having a high chair and pack'n'play in the home and not having to rent them. The Copper Leaf neighborhood is a nice area with parks and good sidewalks for running/walking with the stroller, and the pool is right at the end of the drive. Thank you!

It was like a home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful place to spend a week. The house was clean, nicely decorated and very kid friendly. The baby gate, highchair and pack and play with the mattress were a wonderful addition. The location was convenient; close to hiking, stores, playground and the city. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to spend the week or nicer people to rent from. Thank you. We will definitely be returning.

Woderful Home to Relax

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this home with some friends during a weeks golfing trip. It was a great location to get to and from all of our courses and well situated to restaurants, the freeway, grocery stores etc. The home was spacious, relaxing and clean. I would not hesitate to recommend others seriously consider staying at this home for a trip with friends, family or a couples trip.

Pretty house

  • 3 of 5

We stayed 5 nights at this cute free standing home. It was clean and nicely furnished, the kitchen was well stocked with pans and dishes and soap and garbage bags-and even a cupboard of seasonings and cookbooks. King size bed upstairs was comfy and our friends downstairs liked their queen size bed. Great table for sharing meals. The immediate neighborhood is nice, with other similar houses. However the surrounding neighborhood was a little sketchy. We were out walking around dusk, and I was uncomfortable, though we had no problems. Fairly centrally located regarding major roads, we got around really well. Ate 3 times at Los Dos Molinos, South Mountain is super close and a great hike. We did have a bit of trouble navigating the house in that there were no directions on house basics. How to use the tv in our bedroom? (3 remotes in our bedroom-we didn't use because didn't want to take the time to figure it out) There was a pool that we could not figure out how to get into, but after a search, found the key hanging up downstairs. The pool area was huge and beautiful, but unheated, which is pretty normal for this area I think. Also no direction for garbage-I'm a rabid recycler so I was not very happy that there were no recycling bins. We kept garbage and recycle separate, and found a key for garbage area, but never found where to take the garbage-or if they did recycle. I did have a bit of a go around with owners in trying to get information from them prior to our arrival-lots of emails that took too much time-in my opinion-to answer. Bonnie did say her job took her away and they had a family wedding. Also the pest control people came while we were there. We asked them to come back, but they wouldn't, so they did come in and sprayed while we were there. I was very uncomfortable with that. This house worked well with 2 couples-it was comfortable. There is not a porch or anyplace to be outside at the house, nor are there views from the windows-though the house is nice and bright. Another plus was there was garage parking.

Owner's Response: Hi Julie Thank you for your very constructive comments. I can understand about the remotes as I also do not understand how any work. That is up to my husband. I do have one concern and that was about the key to the pool and garbage. In the instructions I sent to you specifies where the garage door opener, garbage key, and the pool key is. So I'm a confused about that. I do understand that I should be more specific about how to get to the pool and garbage. I also am an avid recycler, I put my things in and extra bag. As far as all the extra emails I'm sorry I did not mention that my mom had just passed before I received your request. So not only were we trying to get ready for a wedding I was trying to get myself back on a stable mental state. I truly apologize for my inability in lack of communication. I appreciate all the comments you gave me and I will do all I can to correct them Thank You Bonnie

This is very secure and private neighborhood with 24-hour security patrol. Our son has lived in this complex for over five years. We chose to buy in here because the complex was always well-maintained and very safe.
