We loved this place! Had 10 adults stay for a 40th B'day party and everything was great. From the bedrooms, to the kitchen, to the living areas...we couldn't have asked for more. Lots of parking and less than a mile to the grocery store. Highly recommended!

Great spot in a good location with plenty of space!

We stayed at Clem's property and enjoyed the house to its fullest. The front porch was nice for sipping coffee in the morning, the kitchen good for food prep, and there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably. My favorite feature: location. Clem's place is central Sonoma near both downtown and Highway 12.

Clem was accessible for questions during the stay and I would rent the house again, just waiting for another occasion!

Holiday in Sonoma

It was absolutely fantastic staying at this VRBO. We had 6 cars and all of them fit perfectly in the drive way. The house was large and cozy for all of us, and beds were so comfortable! Perfect location to all things Sonoma/Napa and even the stores are so close by that you don't have to pre-plan much. We picked up couple Duraflames for the fire place, and drank some hot cocoa & bourbon by the fire. We will definitely stay there in the future again!

A lovely, warm and comfortable home with plenty of space.

We rented this home for 8 adults and my 5 year old grandson for a wedding weekend. It was centrally located to Sonoma yet on a quiet street. Clean, spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. Easy to access with wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces. Everyone had their own rooms with plenty of lovely bathrooms. We could spend time together to eat and relax or find a quiet spot for some alone time. The redwood trees in the backyard were spectacular. The owner, Clem, always responding quickly to all of our communications. Loved it!

Very Disappointed

Let me start by saying that I don’t ordinarily write negative reviews, but I felt it was my duty to share our experience. My husband and I stayed in this home with one other couple in October 2016. We chose this home due to its location in Sonoma and based on the many positive reviews. Before diving into the problems, let me start with the positives:

Pros:

Big house with plenty of room

Large outdoor area

Excellent location

The owner seems willing to fix the items that need to be addressed

We arrived at about 10:30 pm, and had difficulty opening the door using the instructions left by the owner. After many attempts to unlock the door using the code, we finally got in. The very first thing we saw when we opened the door was the large stain on the carpet by the front door. It was approximately 18” wide and 24” long. I don’t know what it was, but it was blackish gray on a cream colored carpet. It was a horrible first impression, and things didn’t get better from there. There were stains in several other places on the downstairs carpet.

Other cons:

Mold in the downstairs shower

Weird doll torn apart with its innards on the cabinet shelves

Nonworking lights in many places in the house

Bathroom rugs were old and matted

Stain on one of the towels that appeared to be old blood or rust (gross)

No hot water in the master shower

The outside cushions on the beautiful set featured on the picture were stained all over

After walking around the house when we arrived on the first night, we were torn about whether to leave and go to a hotel, call the owner, or just stay there since we were only going to be there for two nights and wouldn’t be spending a lot of time there. We were unsure about the refund process through VRBO in situations like this and we were very tired, so we decided that if the sheets on the beds were clean, we would stay. The sheets were clean, so we stayed for both nights.

After spending the same amount as we would have spent for two 4 star hotel rooms, we expected to have accommodations equivalent to those of a 4 star hotel, and we didn’t want to spend any time or effort on complaining about the problems to the owner. Instead, we were in the equivalent to a 1 star hotel. Clem seemed genuinely interested in the issues I raised, and hopefully he meant it and will address them before the next group stays there.

Owner's Response: I'm very responsive to my guests and will continue to be so. This review is coming out of left field for me... I won't address each issue, but everything listed has been taken care of and could have been addressed during your stay with a simple phone call, just call me and ask. For example, there are switches on the other walls that if turned off, the dimmers won't work. Or, when the hot water doesn't work one direction, turn the knob the other direction. The reason I maintain a high level on ratings is due to my responsiveness and maintenance of the property. However... I did not feel comfortable when you called me after your stay and itemized the issues. Tough to address anything after the fact and I would have certainly addressed during your stay. Then to receive your call and text only to realize that you wanted to bargain with me on price (or full refund) or I would receive a bad review. That was tantamount to blackmail. I opted for the review... I've submitted this review to VRBO for future owners.
