About the property

5 double bedrooms, 1 twin bed, all with en-suite toilet, sink and shower.

This is a property for the more discerning traveller who wants peace and quiet away from the crowds but everything within easy reach, with quality furnishings, tranquil, private, peaceful, spacious and stylish with fantastic sea views overlooking the resorts of Cala Millor, Sa Coma and S'Illot yet only 10 minutes drive to their beautiful beaches. Also just 10 minutes away is the quaint, typical Mallorcan village of Son Carrio. Sitting in 10,000 sq metres of walled and fenced land, approached by a long private drive with electric gates, the property has 450 sq metres of accommodation comprising 5 bedrooms all with TV and DVD with German and English progs. and en suit bathrooms, 2 of which have balconies, Downstairs are a dining room, large kitchen with TV, lounge with wood burning fire TV and DVD, downstairs toilet, laundry room. The décor is to a high standard and incorporates many Majorcan features. Outside there is a hot tub for 8 persons, a 10 x 5 meter swimming pool with solar heating, an adjoining bar, outside shower, barbecue with table and chairs for 10, ten sunbeds with tables and terraces. Restaurants, activities and shops are abundant in the resorts.

Local Area: There are many golf courses around the area, Capdepera,Pula and Los Pinos all within a 20 minute drive ( there are two sets of clubs at the house ) and a driving range in Sa Coma about 10 minutes away. There are many horse riding establishments.

The local village of Son Carrio and town of Son Servera are worth visiting as they are a true view of typical Mallorcan life with local tavernas and of course - tapas. They also have many fiestas and festivals which I have tried to incorporate in the welcome brochure. There are local resorts that cater for all tastes from quiet evenings for a drink or a meal, to live entertainment and night clubs, it depends on your personal taste. In the welcome brochure you will find local places of interest, plus recommended restaurants with approx. costs for meals.


Property: Guests can make their own way to the house or can be met at a convenient location and escorted to the property. If your stay is for 2 weeks a housekeeper will come once during your stay to clean, change and wash the bedding, towels and clean the bathrooms. Should you require additional hours for cleaning, please advise me as soon as possible, there will be an additional charge for additional services. A groundsman will call at least once a week to check and clean the pool and attend the garden areas, these are included in the rental. A car is essential if you wish to travel around the area, however if you require a driver and car then it is possible to facilitate this. I appreciate that your holiday is a special event and if there is anything I can assist you in the enjoyment of your stay please do not hesitate to contact me or my staff.

If babies are in your party, there are two cots, two strollers, a pram, two high chairs, a playpen, babybath and potties available.

About Paul

I was born in Manchester, England, retired and bought a boat in 2004. I sailed up the Mediterranean arriving in Porto Cristo marina for the winter in 2006. Whilst there i found the delightful village of Son Carrio, loved the area so much that I started to look for a suitable house as living on a boat in the winter lacks a number of basic comforts that, as you get older, you appreciate and take for granted until you do not have them. I have a lovely wife, Karen, and 2 daughters Sommer and Sacha, who join me whenever they are able. We all love the boat and spend most of the summer on board going to the beautiful bays of the Balearic Islands.

Why Paul chose Sant Llorenç des Cardassar

After viewing many properties in my prefered area of Son Carrio, I found what I was searching for. The finca was midway between Cala Millor and Son Carrio, in an elevated position with great sea views, lots of land, up a quiet track, peaceful and in need of total renovation. This gave me a great project and work throughout the winter months, and two winters later the house was finished, taking into account that I stopped work during the summer to go sailing. Each winter I try to improve the facilities at the house and a tennis court is planned in the near future. We decided to rent out the house during the summer months as we are not there and this is a lovely house that needs people and to be lived in.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

Currently the house is managed by Dennis, who lives in the near-by town of S'illott and has lived there for many years, he is available for advice on the area and to solve any problems you may have during your stay. The main benefits of the house are the space, tranquility and facilities, lots of room to spend with friends or family without being on top of each other. It is also a great base to explore much eastern Mallorca, which in my opinion is the most beautiful, interesting and best part of the island.

  • All bedrooms have en suite facilities with shower, sink, toilet and 4 have a jaccuzi bath. Television, DVD and digital receivers are installed in each of the bedrooms, there are hair dryers and hair straighteners in each room, all have central heating, the three bedrooms on the front have great views of the resorts and sea and the twin has views of the mountains at the rear. The main bedroom has a balcony with mountain views and the middle, double, room has a balcony with pool and sea views. The 5th bedroom is located on the ground floor. The house accomodation is for up to 10 adults, additional children or infants will incur additional costs. There are two foldaway beds available and two cots for infants. There is air conditioning / heaters in each bedroom, a meter is installed seperately for these and a charge will be made at the end of each stay for the units used.

Please do not smoke inside the house. The house is situated about 10 minutes drive from the popular resorts of Cala Bona, Cala Millor, Sa Coma and S'illot and about 15 minutes from Porto Cristo. At the moment the lane leading to the house is a track which the local council said would be tarmaced two years ago, this deters traffic,cyclists and walkers. There is an abundance of wildlife and many indigenous tortoises occupy the area, please look out for them if driving. It is very peaceful, but close to great beaches, many fine restaurants and facilities such as horse riding, go karts and the caves in Porto Cristo are a must for anyone romantically minded, you will find details in the brochure at the house. A children's play area has recently been constructed with swings, and seesaw near the outside hot tub on astro turf. There is a muti gym and a table tennis table. A boulles court has recently been built.

We spent 2 weeks at Villa Miramar in August 2017, along with our two young children and two other families with young kids. We found the villa to be very well equipped for a large group like ours. The bedrooms were really great, all very large (two were massive) and all with large en-suites.

The ground floor essentially breaks down into three rooms and to be honest we didn't use two of them as we were either outside or at the beach during the days/evenings. These south-facing rooms were also extremely hot with temps were approaching 40C during our stay. I would like to have had AC downstairs as well as upstairs, which was blissfully cool for sleeping. The kitchen provided everything we needed, albeit the dishwasher and oven door could do with a service/replacement as these were not working optimally which was frustrating.

The outside space and particularly the pool area is undoubtedly the biggest selling point of this villa. Great pool, kids play area, table tennis, boules pitch, bbq, various seating/dining areas; all made for a great time for the whole family.

The location was great for our needs, we wanted somewhere out of the way but with good access to the many great beaches on this side of the island. Having a hire car was absolutely essential obviously and I'd recommend pinning the villa location on you phone maps prior to arrival. This villa is off the beaten track so finding it for the first time is a challenge unless you are following a satnav. There is also a section of dirt track as you approach the villa which is fairly narrow and stony but perfectly navigable.

I would certainly recommend Villa Miramar to others.

Fantastic stay at a great house!

We loved it at Cala Millor. We were a group of 10 with 1 child and the house was perfect for us - huge rooms and wonderful outdoor space. The eating area outdoor also worked brilliantly. We would definitely stay again!

Lovely holiday home with the most fabulous views

It was lovely to find a secluded holiday accommodation with such fabulous views. The house is perched on a hillside, off the beaten track and away from the busy resort of Cala Millor. The house is very much the owner’s home with photos and souvenirs of family throughout the house, making it feel very much home from home. We arrived to a lovely welcome from the owners with an unexpected gift of beers, cava, milk and fruit and quickly settled in for the week.

The villa is huge and could easily accommodate two families. It is very well equipped, having five generously sized bedrooms, everything you could need in the kitchen and has a wonderful outside space. We spent many hours relaxing on the comfy sunbeds by the fantastic pool. Although the pool was too cold to use in early April, there were many other activities to occupy us, including table tennis, boules, badminton and a great hot tub, which was very popular with our two teenage girls.

The villa is ideal for visiting the North and East of the island. We had lovely days out in Porto Christo (marina, beach and caves), Cala Millor (beach), Cala R’atjada via Catamaran and Alcudia. The latter having an old town, port and beach, was voted our favourite day of the holiday.

There is a huge choice of restaurants in Cala Millor and Cala Bona which are 10 minutes’ drive from the house. Paul’s (the owner’s) recommendations were spot on, S’Oratge in Cala Bona was so good we dined there twice and Soma in Porto Christo was also enjoyed very much.

Thank You for sharing your home with us at very short notice, we had a lovely relaxing holiday which was just what we needed.

Amazing house!

We stayed at this house with two other families (5 adults and 4 children total) and we all had a great time. More than enough room in the house for all of us. Very secluded but you can be at the beach in 10 minutes (drive). Outdoor BBQ and dining area was great. Pool and hot tub were awesome. Hot tub went on the fritz one night but the manager was there the next day to fix it for us. Some toys and games for the children as well. Cribs and strollers too. Kitchen was stocked with plenty to make our meals. The owner was very helpful and kind and answered all of our questions by email before our arrival. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

We had an amazing time in the Paul and Karen's beautiful villa during our visit Aug 2015.We thought the villa was out of this world so much so that our visits to surrounding areas were limited as we wanted to make the most of our time in the villa. Villa had everything you could need, pool and hot tub was great, lovely views of Cala millor. A short drive to Cala millor, Cala bona or Porto Cristo. we all enjoyed our stay including my 6 year old nephew and 2 year old niece. The especially loved the play area. Would recommend and hope to return in the future.

The local village of Son Carrio is a lovely typical Mallorcan village with three tavernas, one shop and a huge beautiful church, which if you are lucky, you can watch a Spanish wedding. Local towns such as Son Servera, Manacor and San Llorence are also typical Mallorcan with market days worth a visit for local produce, restaurants and gifts. Tourist resorts such as Cala Millor and Cala Bona are a few minutes drive away offering all the amenities and beaches you may require.

The caves of Drach in Porto Cristo is a huge fascinating underground system of caves with a lake, stalegtites and stalegmites and the finale is excellent, I will not spoil it by describing it, see for yourself.

There are many festivals and fiestas that are performed, not purely for the tourists, by the locals for their beliefs and history.

Stay tax $1.23 per night, per person. This amount will be due to the manager upon arrival. Does not apply to children under 18 years.

These prices are based on up to 10 persons, additional persons will be quoted on the booking form. Reservations will only be booked when the deposit plus 200 euros is paid, this can be by bank transfer, The 200 eu is a security deposit against loss of keys, damages etc. and will be repaid on key handover at the end of your holiday.
A payment of 50% is required 3 months prior to the rental period.

Manager's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
