MAIN AND KITCHEN

Main room and kitchen feature an open floor plan great for entertaining while your guests sit on the 1970s butcher block designer stools. All new appliances, including dishwasher, cold-press juicer, Berkey water filter, Zojirushi rice cooker and more. Wide plank oak hardwood floors throughout. Indoor/outdoor living when you open the french doors onto your private patio overlooking the world. Romantic dinners inside mid-century table set or outdoors on your hardwood farm table in the warm summer breeze.

Stainless steel mini table on casters for your nightly treats. Disclosures: (some tearing on the couch).

BEDROOM

Wake up to a refreshing view in your oversized picture window. Sparkling city lights at night and luscious greenery by day. Mid-century side tables with Pixo Pablo matching bedside lights with usb cable port to charge your phone while you have a deep recharge on your Cali-King Tempurpedic bed with Matteo Home luxury linens. 1st OFFICE

Charming office with a beautiful deck and tree view down below. Great writers office, easy to convert into a kid’s room, second bedroom or artists den.

SECOND BEDROOM AND SECOND OFFICE

Oversized architects desk in spacious lower level office overlooking raffia chill chairs and raised meditation area with buckwheat meditation zafoo. Japanese inspired with white washed concrete floors, and a “Tokyo Cove,” a queen sized bed in a private climb-in nook (known guest-wide for the best sleep they’ve ever gotten) and small stand alone bathroom with shower, sink, vanity and toilet. Here’s the catch: the shower is for someone 6 foot and under (or willing to bend) and the toilet is a tight fit, but can sit side-saddle.

OUTSIDE

Private, gated driveway with room for three cars (fully enclosed gated yard for your fur babies to run free) surrounded by local succulents. Host a BBQ with our 200 sq foot deck and gas grill set or enjoy a warm summer dinner on your farmtable on the covered patio. Enjoy farm to table living with our all heirloom organic two level garden, pick some sprigs of rosemary for roasted chicken, or some aegean black tomatoes to dress a salad (crop relative to your arrival timing, full herb garden goes strong throughout every season). Meyer lemon tree. Outdoor compost available. New washer and dryer too!

LA/NEIGHBORHOOD

Renowned secret, hilly, hip LA gem filled with artists, young families and meditators (The Self-Realization Center has it’s gorgeous mediterranean style headquarters on the hill - they choose the spot as it’s an ‘energy vortex’). Incredible views throughout, great walking trails for you and your pup or family. Immediately across the house is a playground and basketball court for you to enjoy. Adjacent to the hippest up and coming neighborhood in LA (as per Vogue, NYTimes etc) Highland Park - enjoy Mr Holmes Bakery by morning and dozens of little gem pubs and restaurants at night. Incredible yoga studios nearby (Namaste and more) and super cool York Boulevard with great shopping, dining, drinking, a weekend night out or a stroll during art walk. Just down the hill, leave your car behind and take the Metro Gold Line train to downtown, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, or Pasadena, or be adventuring, transfer downtown and go all the way to the beach.

Great Vacation in Los Angeles

  • 5 of 5

We spent four nights (2 Adults and 3 children (10-12-14)) while visiting Universal Studios and Malibu Beach area. Location is great, from the deck you can see the city and relax. It's close to freeway, grocery store, etc. Very quiet neighborhood, a few steps from local park. Driving to/from Universal was excellent, we took street roads or freeway and always was quick to get around. House is fully equipped with all you need to feel home, probably the best value in the area. Morning coffee viewing the city from Mount Washington and night glass of wine watching the city lights and some fireworks from local attractions. Definitely will be coming back and 100% recommended.
