We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bonnie's place. It is in nice neighborhood with lots of nice breakfast places nearby and close to downtown. The home was nicely furnished and very comfortable and the back garden with hammock and fire pit is terrific! Bonnie is a great host and we felt very comfortable. We certainly recommend staying here.
First of all, thank you Bonnie for letting us rent your cute bungalow in Denver. We had such a fun time. We weren't sure what to expect but this house was a great central place for our family to gather. We especially loved the fact that we could sit outside in the back yard and enjoy that wonderful Colorado weather. The house was perfect. And your support was excellent. Thanks again - Kim and Dan Meatheany
3 of us spent a week using the home as headquarters for a mountain bike vacation. With Sunny's a few blocks away, we always had a big breakfast to tide us over. With the nice weather, we used the "outdoor room," a nice gathering spot under an umbrella for both the am coffee and the post-ride rehydrations.
We walked to the fun restaurants and brewpubs in LoDo and Highlands from the house. Can't beat it!!
My husband and I have been to Colorado 3 times and Bonnie's home was so delightful. This house was the nicest house we stayed in. We had all the amenities that we needed. It was so nice coming back "home" after a long day of exploring beautiful Denver. We loved staying in the house but the real gem was the backyard. We loved relaxing outside every night and because it's Denver, the nights were so comfortable. The neighborhood was so nice and quiet. I would recommend this home to anyone that is looking to stay in Denver.
The house is quaint, the yard was really nice - lots of flowers and statuary. The neighborhood is quiet but we had to park on the street and parallel parking took a little while to get used to, we are out of practice. The appliances were new and very nice, there were basic pantry supplies, which was really nice - salt, pepper, sugar, etc. But the floors were squeaky, so if one person was awake, everyone else was awakened by the floor noise. The bathroom is cute, but pretty small. There were TV's in main living space and main bedroom, though we didn't watch much, and both had cable so we were able to watch the news. All the rooms have window A/C units so it was nice and cool. There are full-sized washer and dryer in the basement. There was a dishwasher and plenty of detergent, nice. There was a DVD player, though we didn't use it. My main concern was that the 3rd bedroom was in the basement - though nicely done. I was afraid the whole time that there would be a fire and that my child in the basement wouldn't be able to get out. It would be against the building codes where we have lived to have a bedroom in the basement without a bigger window that you could get out through if there were an emergency.
The owner seems nice and has been pleasant and attentive, responding to e-mails promptly.
Overall we were happy to be there instead of in a hotel.
This was a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. Because we were on a lengthy business trip, it was nice to return to a home rather than a hotel room. Bonnie supplied a wonderful list of recommended activities & places to eat. I stayed with two other colleagues and we each felt we had enough space and privacy when needed. The bed I slept in (the room with the TV) was not the most comfortable, but otherwise there were no complaints about the accommodations.
This historic bungalow is located in Sunnyside, just north of Lower Highlands, the hippest area of Denver. You can walk downtown to enjoy the city or take a short drive to the ski resorts and still have some privacy in your own fenced in, professionally landscaped backyard. Amazing restaurants are a stone's throw as is Riverfront Park, Coors Field and Invesco Stadium. First Fridays of each month are popular for Art Walks in several Denver art districts. Come and enjoy all the city of Denver has to offer.
