Set in a dramatic location that encompasses views of the town of Taos, spectacular sunsets, and majestic Taos Mountain, Casa Sienna is the ideal location for your stay in Taos. Located in the desirable Blueberry Hill area, the beauty and peacefulness of its surroundings are unmatched - and the close proximity to Taos Ski Valley and the galleries and restaurants of Taos make its location the best of both worlds.
But the views are merely the beginning. The home of a set decorator in the movie industry, Casa Sienna has been lovingly furnished with extensive southwestern touches: hand-carved doors, Native American crafts, and many other artistic details. Recent trips to Southeast Asia and Latin America have yielded a treasure trove of beautiful folk art. The warmth and eclectic charm of Taos are present in Casa Sienna from the first moment you walk in the front door. A warning - you will not want to leave!
Entertaining? A well-equipped gourmet kitchen and service for 20 make preparing meals a breeze. And an outdoor dining table provides an exquisite al fresco setting.
Need to relax after a day of skiing or visiting the galleries? The large hot tub with its drop-dead gorgeous view of Taos Mountain is the perfect spot to unwind.
Two living rooms - each with its own fireplace - provide ample room for reading or relaxing. There are two bedrooms upstairs -- each with a queen-sized bed -- and three bedrooms downstairs (two have queen-sized beds and one has a full-sized bed). A daybed and a rollaway bed (at additional charge) provide flexible sleeping arrangements.
Casa Sienna has it all: a beautiful location, close proximity to skiing and downtown, and a style that is uniquely Taos. It will more than meet your expectations!
I am fortunate to split my time between Casa Sienna and my farm in Costa Rica (Finca Sienna, vrbo #578922). (Sienna is the name of my daughter). Extensive international travel has allowed me to collect the artwork that adorns both properties, and I am a firm believer in the concept of refuge -- spending time in an environment that promotes relaxation, contemplation, and reconnection with one's self and loved ones. It is a joy for me to share my homes with like-minded guests.

Welcome to Casa Sienna. We are delighted that you have taken an interest in our home in amazing Taos, NM. Please feel free to call or email if you have any questions.
There is a feeling of being home when entering the house for the first time. The furnishings, art, tasteful decor which includes anything you might need, create a welcoming presence. It is quiet. You might see a jack rabbit or hear coyotes in the evening. The covered porch offers a protected and cozy way to enjoy the outdoors and ever changing light. One can sit out in the rain or wind and be perfectly dry and comfortable. The bedrooms are beautiful and the beds and pillows are comfortable. There is art throughout the house which is of great interest, having been collected from all over the world. It is almost shocking how trusted we felt in such a beautiful home. This is a retreat if you choose, or a very convivial place for a family. Nature's presence is everywhere, out every window. The listing description is accurate. The property is clean and well maintained. I would recommend this home to all family and friends. We hope to return soon. We were drawn to the area for the art museums, particularly Georgia O'Keeffe's Abique home which is about 90 minutes away. The Taos museums are spectacular. We didn't have time to explore fine dining but Pizano's pizza is divine and Taos Pizza Outback was highly recommended.
If you are looking for a vacation rental that has it all...then look no further! Exceptional view from the hot tub, close to town and ski valley. (Don't forget the Taos Cow for ice cream!). We had an awesome week of skiing, snowmobiling in Red River, site seeing and ahhhhh the spa at Ojo Caliente! We cooked several of our meals but had a couple lovely dinners out. (Try the Gorge in Taos - great menu selection for everyone). I have been to Taos several times and Casa Sienna was by far the best place I have stayed! 7 of us fit comfortably - loved the two living areas. We will definitely book here again! Thank you for offering your wonderful home on VRBO!
Absolutely loved this place. 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, great kitchen, perfect for a bunch of adult skiers.
We had a wonderful time in Taos! This house was perfect for our needs. We had 7 adults, plenty of room for everyone. We have rented several homes on VRBO and this was definitely one of the best. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was convenient to ski valley and the town of Taos. We enjoyed cooking, working puzzles, the hot tub, and the the comfy places to relax by the fire. Great time!!!!
This was the perfect base camp for our group of eight people. There was plenty of room to spread out, and the two fireplaces, one in each living room, make a nice way for the adults and kids to separate out. The furniture and beds were all very comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed and we did cook every night. Everything was nice and clean, right down to the extra towels for the hot tub.
All transactions were handled professionally. We arrived at the house around 7 at night and everything went smoothly. It went down to -6 that night, so we were glad to have the extra space heaters in the bedrooms. All you have to do is start a fire in the wood burning fireplace and any trace of chill is gone, and it was COLD outside!
The hot tub was a favorite after skiing. It is definitely nice to have your own private hot tub, and the views from the tub were beautiful.
Taos Ski Valley is about 30 min (15 miles) away. It is a very pleasant drive through Arroyo Seco and up to the mountain. We live in Colorado with access to many ski areas, but Taos Ski Valley has become a favorite destination for us. Lots of terrain for everyone, but we sure did love the steep stuff!
I would definitely recommend this house to anyone that wants to explore the Taos area. It's a short drive to Taos, Arroyo Seco and Ski Valley. Everyone was very friendly and amenities were close by.
Great location, close to the gorge, ski mountain, and downtown. House is very livable, and had all the amenities included. It was nice being able to do the dishes and laundry during our week stay. Fireplace was nice, but rather small. House stayed a bit cold, but they had space heaters which came in handy. Hot tub was great after long days snowboarding. fantastic views of the mountain. Had a few problems upon arrival, tripped fuses, light bulbs out, sticky locks, but fixed very quickly after speaking with our contact. House has ample closet space, good utilities, and a TV in each of the 2 living areas. House was fairly well maintained, but you can tell it is used a lot. Knobs are all fairly loose on the drawers, front hall closet needed to be tidied up so we could hang up our jackets. Really just knit picking, because it felt like a "real" house to us. We enjoyed ourselves very much, and would not hesitate to stay there again.
