1 BR self contained apartment with private entrance on beautiful Douglas Park

Clean, comfortable 1 bedroom garden level suite with private entrance, patio, and garden. Close to everything Vancouver has to offer - shopping, restaurants, recreation and the Canada Line subway to downtown and the airport all a short walk away.

Four bus lines run very close, taking you directly to Downtown, UBC, Stanley Park, Granville Island, etc. If you arrive by car, there is free parking just outside the door.

BC's major health centres, Vancouver General Hospital, BC Cancer Agency, and BC Children's Hospital are all within 15 minutes walking distance.

This is a great location for families, with a nice park across the street with playground, fitness center, running track, and splash pool in summer. Free family oriented concerts every Thursday evening in the summer! Hillcrest Olympic Rec Center is also close by, with a large pool (indoor and outdoor), skating rink, library, etc.

Local shopping and restaurants are only 500m away, in Cambie Village. Other shopping districts are also within just a few km: Main Street, South Granville, Granville Island, and the large Oakridge Mall.

When you are not out in the city, enjoy the peaceful private patio with a view of the park and mountains!

The apartment is very quiet and private, with a queen size bed in the bedroom and a sofa in the sitting room that converts to a second queen-sized bed. A single mattress or a portable crib can be supplied on request. The bathroom has grab bars installed in the bath tub, making access easy and safe. Clean linens and towels are provided, and housekeeping services during the stay are available if desired. Guests also have free access to a shared laundry room.

The living room has been recently updated with a 42" flatscreen TV.

This is a very beautiful, convenient and popular neighbourhood and we love living directly across from Douglas Park an being able to get around so easily without driving.

We just stayed at the place for one night and it was great. No issues at all. The apartment is nice and clean and had everything available. There is also a LCD TV in the living room (pictures showed an old one) and has a cable box too. No issues with the Internet. There is access to the laundry room, but we didn't use it except for the iron. The place is about 10min drive to downtown. Parking is free on the street beside the house. The entrance to the apartment opens up to the park and gives a really peaceful feeling. My mother in law loved it and sat outside for a while in the morning just relaxing to the view.

Wonderful stay!

The apartment was just as it looked in the pictures. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood. We did not have a car so we took the train, and it was very convenient to get to from the apartment. Everything was very clean, and Jamie was great to work with.

A wonderful place to come "home" to after busy days and fun adventures in Vancouver!!!

Very cozy neighborhood. It was fun to watch soccer players, joggers and softball games across the street. The house is well equipped and has a great porch to start and end your day. It is just far enough away from downtown Vancouver to be relaxing and close enough to enjoy everything Vancouver has to offer! The Lyall's are the perfect hosts with the perfect house! Thanks from some Michiganders!!!

Better than advertised! Great space, amazing location, really, really helpful owners!

Great restaurants, coffee shops close by and a beautiful park across the street. We arrived after being on the road for a few days and needed clean clothes, the owners children saved us the effort and provided outstanding laundry service (great folding job!!) and enabled us to spend even more time exploring the most beautiful city in Canada! Stay, enjoy!!

ロケーションはキングエドワード駅から歩いて10分以内

ダウンタウンまでは駅からカナダラインで10分足らずで行けます。

閑静な住宅街のためカナダのローカルライフを味わいたい人にはとてもいいロケーションです。目の前にダグラスパークがあり、犬を散歩している人や野球少年たちで夕方まで賑やかでした。といっても部屋の中にいれば全く無音です。

治安はいいエリアです。

近くにセーフウェイというスーパーがあるので買い出しして自炊するのもありです。調理器具、基本的な調味料は揃っています。

とにかく全てのインフォメーションが事細かにかかれているPDFを事前にメールで受け取り、更に部屋にも同じ説明書きが置いてあるのでまず不自由はしません。

ドアも自動ロックで事前にパスワードを教えてもらえますので、家主とは顔をあわせることなくチェックインもチェックアウトもできます。洗濯機も使えるので荷物も少なくて済みます。

ホテルより安く快適でローカルライフを味わえるのでぜひリピートしたいです。

Perfect for me

My stay at Jamie's was perfect. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a deep bathtub, adequate kitchen utensils, and good WiFi signal. The location for my needs was perfect just four blocks from a Canadian Line station that will take you downtown or to the airport.

It was a quite neighborhood but walking distance from restaurants and grocery shopping.

I took my bike and was able to get around the city quite easily.

I realize these reviews are subjective. I tend to be particular, I like the photo of a rental to reflect the reality and be truly clean. Jamie's place passed my test.
