Beautiful and comfortable accommodations close to historic centre of Sintra

Very nice! Clean, comfortable and well situated for easy walking to restaurants etc. and easy access to the historic centre of Sintra. I was travelling with my 86 year old father and it was easy to get out for dinner and we were lucky enough to find parking that was available right outside the door. The kitchen and living area are on the main floor, bedrooms upstairs. Luis was very prompt returning emails and phone calls and was very helpful.

There were quite a few stairs to negotiate for someone with mobility issues. As a Canadian, I did not understand the term duplex meant stairs.... Kitchen is nice but there are no condiments such as sugar, salt pepper etc so if you are going to cook, make sure you bring everything! Very good espresso pods for the espresso machine were provided and everything else was above expectations! Remember to use the GPS coordinates Luis provides to find the property! I would highly recommend this beautiful property and I would love to return. Thank you Luis.

A lovely apt to stay in

Stayed here for 8 nights and for touring the area it's well located. 20-30 min walk downhill into Sintra town. Close by a few nice restaurants and the odd shop but a car is required I feel. There is a local bus to take you in and out of town but taxis from sintra avail and only 5euros.The apt was clean and very comfortable. A welcoming manager who was very helpful. All you need for a perfect stay. Large terrace which is shared with adjoining apt but separated with a wall. Sadly no sun on it while we were there. Will definitely look at staying again.

Fabulous Flat, well-located

This lovely, cozy flat is just as pictured, very well-decorated and -equipped. The beds and furniture are all very comfortable. Sadly, it rained the entire time we were there and we were unable to enjoy the patio which, overlooks flowers and lemon trees. On-street parking is available.

It is within walking distance of the historic core, but we wish a less-busy route had been pointed out, as the main road is very busy and the sidewalks narrow.

There is a good choice of restaurants within an easy walk, including right on the lovely Sao Pedro Square, on which the flat is located. We ate twice at 26 Sao Pedro and it was excellent.

Of all the Sintra architectural wonders, we most enjoyed Monserrat and its garden and Palacio de Pena. The latter is a hill-top royal palace, with furniture and rooms that one can easily imagine occupied...

Lovely Long Stay

We lived in this apartment for twelve weeks this winter. It has a casual elegance and it is cosy but spacious at the same time. The bedrooms and full bath are located away from the living area, providing quiet privacy even when we had guests staying with us. The main floor has a separate, well equipped kitchen, a roomy entry area with powder room, and a sunny living/dining area. There is also a terrace at the back looking out over a little lemon grove. It was a comfortable and relaxing place to return to after a day of exploring the beautiful Sintra Cascais region.

Steps away there are good restaurants, interesting shops, and small grocery stores for everyday needs. Very close also is the Sao Pedro Fair, a market held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday each month. You have to try the wood-fire baked buns stuffed with chorizo!

The owner and manager are very conscientious and the apartment is clean and well maintained. The location is just outside of the main tourist hub, making it a great base for exploring the area. We did not have a car for our time there but the public transport is very convenient, whether you need to travel to the town centre or to catch a train to Lisbon and beyond. We loved walking and exploring the neighborhood, but for practical necessities we could just hop on a bus and do whatever we needed to.

Our host, Eduardo was very helpful and gracious, and he and property manager Miguel made us feel so welcome there. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to family and friends.

Most wonderful of stays in Sintra

Thank you Eduardo for an absolutely wonderful home away from home. The duplex was exactly as described and as shown in the pictures. It was very clean and well-maintained. We also appreciated that the home was cleaned during or stay (this is not typical of other rentals I have taken). Your home is beautiful, welcoming, and so comfortable for our 2-week stay in Sintra.

We were so pleased with the location - close to many fabulous restaurants (particularly next door at Sao Pedro 26) and easy transit to the train station and the historic center. This area is very quiet and friendly locals made us feel welcome. Not being in the historic center, with all the daily tour bus groups made the visit even more relaxing. However, we were still able to see all the local sites including Pena Palace, Capucho Monastery, and Quinta da Regaleira. Also, an easy bus (to Cascais) or train (to Lisbon) ride.

Luis Miguel met us at the airport, drove us to Sinta, and then explained all the inner workings of our duplex. He and Eduardo were very responsive when we forgot a few of the instructions and needed assistance.

We would definitely highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a restful place during your visit to Sintra.
