We have a peaceful eutopia on our ranch, and would love to share it with you soon !
Our family created Blanche Manor in 2000. We cut every trail, cleared every pasture, and even built our own home. We love our farm, and take great pride in sharing it with our clients. We have created our ideal life here, and would love to have you be a part of it. Our horseback riding packages are unmatched in safety, beauty, and value. The accomodations on our ranch offer our guests a taste of the mountain ranching life, while respecting its ecosystem and natural beauty. We look forward to seeing you at the ranch soon.
We chose our location to build a life that our family could enjoy and run together. It showcases the natural beauty of Blue Ridge Mountains, while being close to conveniences and culture of Blue Ridge. We are blessed with a location that has outstanding trails for riding, close proximity to all the outdoor activities our clients are looking for, and the peace and serrenty that only open pastures, horses, and farm life can offer.
Our ranch offers fantastic views, private wooded setting, creeks on every boarder, and beautiful pastures filled with horses. Our setting is truly unique. We offer the seclusion of a private ranch, but have endless activities right onsite. We are also so close to all of the adventure activites, such as white water rafting, tubing, kayaking, endless hiking trails, and lakes with boat rentals. You are close enough to Blue Ridge for fine dining and culture, but secluded in the peaceful beauty on our private ranch.
My stay at the bunkhouse was great one I always stay there when I come up to the mountains and ride with them. But I didn't enjoy the ride this time because I rode with one person who was uncomfortable with horses who should of not got on or especially on Euro who was a stubborn horse. So with the mix of Euro not moving and I was behind him and her not liking horses it made the ride bad. When we got to the top to take pictures the woman got off because she was afraid of heights and she cried to our guide to get off and walk the trail . I feel that maybe if she was asked told we was going to go up the mountain on a horse and trot all this could of been prevented her not to ride. I called and told owner about my experience and all she told me was I should of did a private lesson since this instance never happened to me because I always come to Blanche manor I never thought about private lessons because I always had a great time and since I patronize Blanche manor everytime I come to the mountains I felt like the manager could of made a deal and said I'm sorry for the experience and offered me something off the ride if I came back for another one the next day. So book a private lesson if you want to trot and have fun just incase you have someone in your group who doesn't like horses and scared of heights who shouldn't of been on one in the beginning so you don't have the problem I ran into because that's what the owner going to say so you to you before you waste your money on a ride.
From the moment we pulled on Blanche Manor we were home. Not in the sense that it looked like our home, because we are from SW FL and this looked NOTHING like where we live. But we felt that we could move there that day and be happy for the rest of our lives. Yes we loved it that much. We stayed in the bunkhouse. It was roomy and gave us space from my daughter and her friend (there are teenage girls, so you can only guess how nice that was). The girls would say that not having phone reception was hell, but it made everyone put down their phone and spend some time together. The kitchen was nice to have, and the porch was nice to sit on and drink coffee in the morning. If you are looking for a great getaway without the daily stresses of life, this is the place for you. We look forward to coming back in the future, hopefully for a long trip. Also, don't forget if you get a little bored there is horseback riding, just need to make a reservation. That was something that everyone enjoyed!!!
We enjoyed our stay at Blanche Manor. Check in and check out was seamless. The owner responded in a timely manner to all my questions. Our horseback riding guide Kimberly, was great. My son enjoyed his first horseback riding experience. We will definitely come back next time.
We ate on the deck all the time we were there and the lavender flowers smelled great.
If you plan on grilling something, make sure to bring your own charcoal as there is no gas grill.
We had a good time and enjoyed our walk on the trail behind the bunk house.
It was effortless, private, and perfect!
I booked online in 5 minutes with reservation confirmed. It was so effortless I thought I did something wrong.
We arrived to Blanche manor to horseback on a guided tour and it was so cold all we wanted to do was go inside. We walked over to our bunkhouse from the tour and the keys were right there left out for us. No check in, no signed papers, no person to tell you what to do. We just saw the keys, went inside and started the night.
There was a heater that looked like a fireplace, cute touch since it was freezing. We turned the heat on, had dinner, went outside to roast marsh mellows by the REAL fire, and when we realized there was a jacuzzi, we hopped in under the starts. Theres no light pollution out there so the sky was so clear and beautiful. It felt so remote and private. We loved every second.
Please take advantage of your night in the woods and experience all there is to offer. I would so go again.
