Beautiful, hidden getaway!
I came up here this past weekend with my parents, older siblings and my niece/nephew and had such a great time! The house has an old ADK camp feel and is very cozy. Could have sat out on the porch all weekend and listened to the rain....oh and the foliage was pretty great in the high peaks too! Will definitely be back for another stay :)
Hard to leave a great place!
My group from the NYC area maxed out this house. We really love Stone Tower Lodge and there was more than enough room to move around. It had everything we needed and everybody agreed, it was our home away from home.
There's so much to see in the Adirondacks and it was a comfort to know we had such a wonderful place to relax in. I would have been happy enough to just hang around the house myself.
The ground's and everywhere in the house was totally clean - no musty smells (my wife would have complained if there was).
Most of the time I spoke to Amy and she even answered the phone late one night due to an issue that popped up - the issue resolved itself. It was nice to have someone's reassurance. We look forward to another stay!!
Excellent place to stay in the high peaks region.
We stayed with our 3 kids in august 2017. Outstanding place for a family vacation. House is large, beautiful coversed porch and very close to town. Excellent hiking also close by. We look forward to staying here again.
Very Clean well maintained
Had a great stay at Keene Valley, highly recommend this home !!
Amazing House, Amazing Location
The house, and property were nothing shy of perfect! Amy was an amazing host who I have had the pleasure of staying with more than once, on more than one property. The house accommodated our large party and supplied a spectacular view during our stay. Thanks again for the open arms and hospitality.
Peaceful Adirondack Getaway
This was a terrific house for a long weekend getaway with my extended family. We had 10 people stay for 5 nights and everyone enjoyed a comfortable stay. The house itself has a lovely rustic feel to the decor and surroundings, while still providing ample comforts, and is fully furnished and stocked with everything from linens to kitchen equipment, Wi-fi to washing machine, pantry staples and more. It's roomy enough for 10 people to spread out - even on our one rainy day, no one felt crowded or cooped up. We loved grilling and relaxing on the huge porch with a nice view of Giant Mountain and the peaceful sounds of John's Brook nearby. The location feels secluded and private, with no other houses in sight and minimal road noise, yet is just minutes from the charming town of Keene Valley, and a few minutes further from Keene; between the two towns you can find virtually anything you need, from gas to groceries to gear. Great proximity to hiking for all ages and ability levels; a few swimming holes nearby; restaurants in town; and just a short drive from Lake Placid if you're looking for less rural activities. The property owners were friendly and helpful in making sure we enjoyed our stay. We are hoping to return again in the future. Highly recommended!
