Wonderful ! The house was exactly as advertised.

  • 5 of 5

My kids and dog had a great time ... The neighbors were great. I would highly recommend this home. I wish we would have brought a kayak, other than that we had everything we wanted. Thank you.

Making memories..

  • 5 of 5

What could have made our stay even more enjoyable?

Absolutely nothing. What a wonderful place to stay! The beach was perfect for my children to play and the house was absolutely wonderful! Very homey... Which is an important feature. I was extremely impressed that Edward stopped by to welcome us and give us some tips about the area and the ideal spots to fish on the lake. The neighbors were also very welcoming and came out and introduced themselves. I cannot thank the owners enough for sharing their home with us!! Thank you!

Great weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

Upon arrival, we were afraid we were at the wrong cabin! It was so much more than we had anticipated! We definitely over packed, as everything we could have needed was already there! Crock pot, serving dishes and all! Plenty of linens and towels, even an extra roll-away bed in the walk-in closet! We had a surprise baby shower and the cabin easily accommodated the 5 of us and 15 guests. The benches on the dock, perfection! We were blessed with beautiful weather and gorgeous sunsets! Neighbors and hosts were friendly! Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again! But will remember to bring a couple of fans!

Attractive and spacious cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a great vacation on beautiful Manistee Lake. We found the cabin to be just right for our family of five and two pooches. Clean, cute, and comfortably furnished. Roomy, well-appointed kitchen, and the dishwasher was a plus. Campfire pit at the lakeshore had plenty of wood. The friendly neighbors made us feel very welcome. We found a nice open-air produce market in Kalkaska. Great public boat launch nearby. Ideal location up north for many activities. We visited Torch Lake and Jordan River Valley areas. This was our first summer rental through VRBO, and we were very pleased with the cottage and our whole experience. Please consider, though, replacing the old gas grill. The owners were nice to work with and very accessible and helpful before and during our rental week. We would like to come back and will recommend it to our friends.

Great cabin, yard and beach need work.

  • 3 of 5

The house itself was perfect. We had 8 people stay (4 being children) and it was very comfortable. We have recommended it to several people since the stay. The yard was messy and not conducive with bare feet (after all, we were on vacation!) It appears that they have done quite a bit of work to the home, and are now starting on the yard. I am sure that they will have it great in no time. The owner is great, very nice.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We respect, appreciate and are always interested in hearing what our visiting families have to say in a review. We have been working on the property outside, ex,. cutting down trees to make it cleaner and cleaner. We will continue to upgrade the landscape in order to make it more family friendly and easier to get to the lake. Please consider us for your next visit to the area at which time the landscape should be much more progressed. Thank you!
