Manistee Lake Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 6 nights. The cottage was very nice and well supplied, comfortable and clean. Did not go in lake but looks like nice sandy beach for the kids. Great location for exploring Traverse City, Charlevoix ,Petoskey and Gaylord.

Only suggestion would be to install a battery operated smoke detector. Would like to go back someday. I had a phone chat with Edward and he was very sincere in his effort to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great family vacation. The weather was perfect. The place was very roomy and everyone had there own bed. The house was clean and kitchen well stocked with what we needed. The lake was sandy and beautiful. The dock had a nice extra platform area with a table for relaxing and enjoying the sun. It's a great location to stay if you wanna head to TC for a day trip. My favorite part was the sunsets. They were just stunning. !! Hope to stay again next year!!

Great couple of days.

  • 5 of 5

In spite of the rainy, cold weather, we had a great couple of days. Cottage was near and very comfortable. Nice lake- close for dAy trips to Gaylord and Traverse City. Owner was very friendly and attentive. Would recommend it highly for a good old fashioned Michigan lake vacation.

This is a wonderful place to stay on Manistee Lake near Kalkaska. We had a family get together. We own a place on the Lake which my sister and her family were staying at. With 6 adults and 2 children there wasn't room for myself and our family. This rental worked out great. Just down the road with all the space you could need. We had 4 adults and 3 children. With the unfortunate weather we had enough room to feed all the family here. The place is well stocked with all the cookware, towels and linens you need. The exterior and interior and beautifully decorated. Makes you feel right at home. All my family is think about renting for future get together.
