About the property

This elegant two-bedroom, 100-square meter apartment is steps from Andrássy Avenue and Király Utca in the heart of Pest. Located in the embassy district on Eötvös Utca, it is ideally situated for tourists, students or people here on business. It is located on the first floor of a 19th century building built in 1889.

The apartment is fully equipped with all the amenities you might need, including:

- lightning-fast internet

- a 47" LG flat screen TV (ready for your Apple TV or personal media player)

- LG sound bar and sub woofer

- a fully-stocked kitchen that was custom built for the chef/owner

- a formal dining room that can seat up to 12 or double as a conference room for work

- an office/desk area

- a full bathroom with shower and bath, and a half bath with toilet and sink.

- master bedroom with 180 cm bed (similar to a king), seating area, two large wardrobes and a vanity

- guest bedroom with 160 cm bed (slightly larger than a queen) with a wardrobe

sheets, towels and washing machine.

The apartment is in the middle of the embassy district. In fact, the Spanish Embassy and the Azerbaijan Embassy are only a couple of buildings down the street.

This part of Eötvös street is between Király street and Andrássy Avenue.

Király is filled with interior design and furniture stores, funky boutiques and modern art galleries, and is the trendiest part of Budapest.

Király utca used to be the outer boundary of the former Jewish quarter. Gozsdu Courtyard, a series of passages and courtyards connecting Király utca and Dob utca, is also nearby. This was once the core of the Jewish quarter with stores and workshops. Today, it's a complex of restaurants and cafés.

Andrássy Avenue, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, runs parallel to Király utca and is only steps away. This is Embassy Row in Budapest and also houses the beautiful Opera House, several museums and it terminates at Heroes' Square. Continental Europe's oldest subway line (the M1) also runs beneath Andrássy Avenue.

It is an incredibly livable area. Directly across the street is the entrance to one of the city's farmer's markets that operates six days a week. A 5-10 minute walk will put you at some of Budapest's best restaurants, and just around the corner is the Liszt Music Academy and the Opera House is a 15 minute stroll.

This is also one of the most convenient locations in the city for getting around. Andrassy and Kiraly Streets give easy access to the M1 subway and the 4/6 Tram which runs in a semi-circle around Pest. The 4/6 connects to the M2, M3 and M4 subways within a few stops from the house.

About Live in Budapest

Almost ten years ago, we turned up in Budapest and immediately fell in love with her. From the architecture to the food to the arts to the amazing white wines, we were enchanted by this beautiful and vibrant city. There was only one drawback - the housing options.

We quickly grew tired of dingy and poorly maintained apartments with...

- bed linens and stained towels.

- drains that hadn't been cleaned in years.

- dishes and inadequate pots, pans and kitchen utensils.

- inefficient heaters that created one or two hot spots while leaving the rest of the apartment freezing cold.

- pricing schedules for utilities, insurance, condo fees and other hidden costs above and beyond the advertised monthly rate.

- managers who were non-responsive to maintenance issues, and who cared little about us until it was time to collect the rent check.

That's why we started Live in Budapest – to provide attractive, clean and well-stocked apartments with great service and attention to detail at an affordable price.

We are not a management company that handles a large volume of apartments for a percentage of the monthly rent. We actually own the properties you see on this website, and our goal with renovating and furnishing each unit was to create a space that we would be happy to live in ourselves. Of course, we have a vested interest in ensuring that our apartments are well maintained, but it is also important to us that our tenants walk away with a positive experience that enhances their time in Budapest, not detracts from it.

We know what it feels like to be a stranger in a strange land, and we know how important it is to have a comfortable and well-appointed home-away-from-home to escape to at the end of each day. That is what we strive to offer in each of our apartments and what you should expect if you rent us.
