You won't be disapointed! There are great views from inside and outside. Newly remodeled with lots of unique decor and warm cabin charm.
There are three bedrooms. One offers a king sleigh bed, with an en suite including a jacuzzi tub and separate shower as well as a double sink vanity and sliding glass doors for a great view down to the lake, and access to the huge upper deck. The second bedroom has a queen bed with a great view down to the lake. The third bedroom has 2 sets of bunkbeds with stairs to the top bunks, easy to access even for adults. All beds have memory foam mattresses and feather pillows, we keep foam pillows in the closets if you prefer those. The second bath is large with a tub/shower. And there is also a powder bath on the main floor.
Floor to ceiling windows in the living areas to give you the best view of the nature around you as well as a view of the lake. Two full baths, one with a jetted tub. The two living areas have a lot of room to spread out and relax while watching 3D movies or playing X-box.
The kitchen has plenty of room for the entire gang. The large table seats 8 (and makes a great gaming spot), and the island seats two. You have all the amenities expected, dishwasher, range, microwave, and refrigerator with ice maker. All the appliances you will need coffee maker, mixer, can opener, blender, crock pot, rice cooker, waffle maker, etc. There is a laundry room located off the kitchen with washer and dryer, and vacum.
We have an upper and lower deck with plenty of seating for everyone as well as a patio with a teak dining set and umbrella. The outdoor gas grill is available for grilling your favorites, propane is supplied. The outdoor lighting will create a beautiful view of the surroundings in the late hours while relaxing on the decks, or maybe you'd rather sit on one of the many logs stools around the large fire pit and enjoy the ambiance of a nice fire while looking at the lake.
We have a boat dock equipped with a swim deck, with lounge chairs, and ladder for swimming in the beautiful clear lake waters, you can see your feet! Kids and adults have fun trying to master the water trampoline and canoe. Beach towels are available for your use as well. The walk down to the lake is shorter and gentler than most lakeside properties in the area.
If you are bringing a boat you can dock it at our dock during the day (Army Corp of Eng. does not allow overnight docking). You can rent a slip at Starkey's Marina, or park it at the top of our driveway overnight. We have a giant parking area in front of our cabin for multiple vehicles.
Eureka Springs is only 15 minutes from our cabin. It has so much to offer. Shopping, restaurants and bars, winery, antiques, history, sightseeing, entertainment...it goes on and on. If you are into fishing, there are striper guides that can help you catch that big one, my husband caught a 36 pounder last year with their help! We will be mounting that one over the stairway as soon as the taxidermist gets it ready, so watch for it.
Beaver Lake is over 200 feet deep at the dam and is popular for scuba divers. If you would like to learn, there is a scuba shop just a couple miles from us on 187. The shop also has good take out pizza and groceries. The lake is also renowned for eagle watching. But the area has plenty of other wildlife as well, there are deer everywhere, so be cautious while driving about.
We bought this property after staying in rental cabins in the area. We loved it so much, We decided to buy one so the family could spend more time in the Ozarks. The area has so much to offer whether you like to be busy or just want some R and R. We all love the water, and being near it in such a beautiful area drew us in.
The property needed a real update when We got it, but the bones were good, the floor plan was perfect for family gatherings. We needed the BIG kitchen, and two living areas, give different personalities (eg Men and Women, Kids and Adults) different areas to do different things at the same time. The beautiful windows with astounding views, and decks offering the same, made this an ideal place to spend time with family and friends. Having convenient and easy access to the lake for swimming and boating was a priority, and we definitely got the spot for that. We opened up some walls, added beams, rock pillars and rocked the fireplace, created some faux windows and siding to open up the dark hallway on the main level, and created some fun scenes with some Ebay finds. Our son helped us build a wood boat to mount an old Johnson boat motor on, and away we went painting adding things to create an outdoor scene indoors. We hope you enjoy our place as much as we do!
Best place ever! Ended up getting snowed in, never left and we were in heaven all weekend. Can't say enough good things, it was perfect!
We had horrific time communicating with owners after they took our deposit. Never send them a check as my credit card company was the only means to get my deposit back after the owners ignored our multiple emails, texts and phone calls.
VRBO has 3 other houses on this same street which our family has stayed with and had great experiences. Try one of those or beware!!!
The place was very nice, however I could never get in contact with the owner while I was there, the garbage was full, the screen door was broken and we could never get online thru their wifi. Not having wifi was a major inconvenience. Plus their was a rodent in the house. By evidence of the cookie he left behind that we did not bring. It has been over 2,month since I stayed there and have not got in contact or received my damage deposit yet.
The property is beautiful and is a great place for a relaxing weekend getaway. The reason for the low review is that the overall experience with the owner was not good. There was absolutely no communication. I was not able to get any response from the owner with instructions until I was literally on the way to the cabin. It's been two months since I stayed there and I still haven't received a refund of my security deposit - or even a response - despite repeated attempts to contact the owner. It's a great property but definitely not worth the hassle. My advice is to move on to the next one.
We had a great time staying at this home. Close to the lake and lots of fun!
We loved the cabin. Had a great week, although it rained every day... The four boys had a great time canoeing, hiking, swimming, fishing, and especially loved the water trampoline. There were plenty of games for them to enjoy when the weather didn't permit outdoor activities. There were so many deer... Beautiful place. I highly recommend calling SUP outfitters and renting paddle boards. They deliver and pick up the boards. we rented them for the week and had a great time paddle boarding. I also recommend Hurricane Caverns. We did the wild cave tour and the boys absolutely loved it... It is a two hour drive, so make sure to give yourself enough time to get there. Great vacation... We will be back..
The Ozark mountains have a multitude of things to offer for people of all ages. From bird watching to jet skiing, you won't lack something fun to do at any time. The area is loaded with shopping, places to eat and drink, sight seeing, antiquing, hiking, water activities, fishing, Victorian home tours, wild cat refuge, zoo, winery, and much more. Eureka Springs is one of the most charming places to see, the town remains mostly unchanged since it's early days, and the windiing and climbing streets are full of Victorian architecture, art, and lovely landscaping. Martin Greers Candy is located on Hwy 62 just past Gateway, and is some of the best chocolates I've ever had, homeade and family owned and operated, they ship candy all over. There are so many good restaurants in Eureka Springs, Local Flavor, The Grand Hotel and many more. We love Fresh Harvest, a new business with top quality pure olive oils and balsamic vinigar, the tasting will leave you asking for more. Stone Haus is a quaint and historical wine and cheese bar that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The artists that set up their shops in Eureka and the surrounding area have many beautiful pieces to offer. I love Vintage Cargo, they have gorgeous home furnishings. But there are so many other places to see and be! The Scuba shop on 187 just a couple of miles from the cabin offers lessons and diving in Beaver Lake. The water is so clear that it is suitable for scuba diving!!! I love to swim in this lake, something I won't do in just any lake, you can see your toes, and I like that! :) Anglers Grill is a great place to dine casually. The atmosphere is fun,and the patio is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery while having a cold drink and a delicious burger or some fried catfish, and it's only minutes away from the cabin on Hwy 62 on the way to Eureka Springs. All you need to bring is your food and clothes, but if you'd rather pick up supplies in Eureka, you can stop by Hart's grocery and get all you need for you stay, it's only a 15-20 minute drive.
