Beachfront Casa Gallo is a 3 story home with 4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms and sleeps up to 10 people. There is a private pool, a huge kitchen with large veranda dining area, private beach access, parking and 3 private patios. The home comes fully furnished with daily housekeeping service. Casa Gallo $650/night (Nov - May) and $550/night (Jun - Oct).

Attached next door we have built the new Casita Caballito del Mar (VRBO listing #758674). It has 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms over 3 floors and sleeps up to 6 people. The kitchen opens onto a beachfront patio with a palapa covered eating bar, a dipping pool and a private beach access and parking, and a rooftop patio for a stunning view! Casita del Mar is $550/night (Nov - May) and $450/night (Jun - Oct).

Both Casa Gallo & Casita del Mar are completely private, self contained properties from each other. The homes work somewhat like a duplex and separated by a large dividing wall, however they can be opened up and added together to make one big rental home for large groups of 10 - 16 people!

Prices are the same if they are rented together or separately. There are no other fees or taxes. There is a $500 refundable damage deposit for each rental, returned within 2 weeks of your stay.

About AJ Thompson

We wanted to spend winters in a warmer place, so we started looking at ocean-beachfront vacation homes. Since we both grew up in Minnesota and then lived in Canada - we really wanted tropical and we found it 'Casa Gallo' in Sayulita Mexico.

Why AJ Thompson chose Nayarit

Casa Gallo has it's private beach access to Sayulita's North Beach. When we are at the house, we find there isn't a better place to be. Sunsets are amazing and the surf and sand are always changing.

What makes this house unique

The house was one of the first built on the North end of Sayulita beach. Even though it's been remodeled it still holds the hacienda charm. Cobblestone, tile, brick and stonework are throughout the house. It's just a 15 minute walk into Sayulita where there are restaurants, small shops and many things to do.

No wonder you are proud of Casa Gallo. It’s such a beautiful, older home in a lovely north shore setting. Chuck and I were happy to be in your addition: Casita del Mar, for our first week. We picked the 3rd floor bedroom, and it was very comfortable (new bed). The AC worked to perfection, and the outdoor shower was a plus (spotted Venus each night). We really enjoyed sitting up on the balcony and watching the passersby, the horseback riders, and the extreme tidal changes.

The staff was so helpful and kind and sweet natured. That spirit continued when the rest of our gang of 13 arrived for the second week. We always had clean rooms and fresh water and linens, on a daily basis. What a help. Lucy, and her kitchen staff, prepared 4 dinners for us, and we really enjoyed not having to shop, or cook, or clean up. Lucy helped us arrange van transfers with very reliable Uriel, and that worked like clockwork, both coming and going, and Sayulita pueblo was abuzz with celebrants and it was great fun to go into the mix.

Casita del Mar is attached directly next door (like a duplex that can be opened up to one large house) and contains 3 bedrooms/bathrooms over 3 levels each with king size beds. My husband and I rented Casa Gallo and its adjoining casita for our families and us to enjoy for one week. We got married on the beach right in front. The property is breathtaking! Its located on the north end, which is nicer and quieter. The casa has a unique and special feel. Its obvious that the owners have put lots of love into this place. The staff is fantastic and very trustworthy. The property owners and family were very easy to work with and answered many questions beforehand. I would highly recommend Casa Gallo!

Beautiful home, great location!

We recently stayed here as 2 families (4 adults, 3 kids in total). The location was beautiful, within walking distance from town but far enough way to feel totally private. The house is beautiful, and Lucy (the property manager) was helpful and very sweet. She made an amazing dinner for us one night and arranged a delicious birthday cake for my niece! We can't say enough about this beautiful home, and hope to be back next year!

Fabulous house, great location!

We were a group of 9, family ranging from 10 yrs old to 67 yrs old and it was a great space for all. Loved how close it was to town, yet far enough away from the busy main beach. Other than the few walkers and horses you have a truly wonderful private beach. Communication with the owners and manager were very good. They answer all your questions and arrange all your travel needs, such as transportation and meal catering. Although originally disappointed that there was only an tripod charcoal BBQ we did manage to make some great old school meals. Just part of the Mexican holiday experience. Not once did we ever feel unsafe, and every night we had the most amazing unobstructed sunsets... can't beat the location!!

Absolutely Amazing!!!

We had 4 couples. They arranged to have a taxi pick us up from the airport. We stopped at Mega, a large grocery store, which ended up being a fantastic idea. Upon arriving at the house we were absolutely blown away. It was even more amazing than the pictures. It's a short 10 minute walk down the beach into town which was very convenient. Good communication from the owners is so important when traveling and they were so responsive. Thank you again for an amazing experience!!!

Excellent home!

Rented the main house for 6 people and easily could have slept more. Views are beautiful and home is tucked away from the main road for added seclusion. Lucy and the house staff were exceptional. Home is about a 20 minute walk from town so a golf cart would be a plus if you don't like walking. Lucy setup transportation to and from the airport for $140 total, the driver was on time picking up and spoke good English; he remembered to pickup at 6am on a Sunday without a reminder which reduced stress. Only negative is you can't flush the toilet paper due to small pipes but they pick up trash daily so it wasn't as bad as initially expected. Petra cleaned all of the dishes each day which was fantastic. There are purified water jugs in each room with extra clean water in the home. Two refrigerators which were ice cold. I would definitely recommend this home for a relaxing getaway in beautiful Sayulita!

This was the second time we stayed here and this time we rented both sides, Casa Gallo and the adjoining Casita. There was plenty of space and the views and ocean were spectacular. We spent our days in the pools, on the patios, and strolling into town which was only about 10 minutes from the house. We had complete privacy and the house was fantastic. Every room had a bathroom (with really cool open air showers) and the house keeping staff were wonderful. Can't wait to go back!

Reservations are confirmed once we have received the completed booking form and 50% rental fee. Rental invoices are sent through Paypal and the remaining 50% rental fee is charged 30 days prior to arrival. There is a $200 cancellation fee if the house is not re-rented for those dates.
