Get ready to be enchanted! Bayside Villa is a lovely Yacht Club pool home with French doors and upscale touches throughout. A 2018 Hurricane 2200DC SunDeck boat is docked behind the house and included in your rental.
Tastefully decorated and fully equipped, this lovely three bedroom, three bath home house includes a surround sound stereo system, granite countertops, and a fireplace in the master suite. The screened lanai and pool area overlook the large private dock on Cape Coral’s 300 foot wide Bimini Canal. It is not uncommon to see dolphins swimming by and a family of manatees has also been sighted on occasion! There is a resident blue heron and lots of boat traffic to make lounging poolside a constant source of entertainment.
Your boat is kept on a lift at your dock and upon your arrival a licensed boat captain will take you on a short tour (one to two hours) to show you all needed instruction like safety features, marinas, shallow water areas and canal/river markers. The boat has been upgraded with most of the optional equipment offered for the model, such as a music sound system with four speakers, swim ladders off the front and back, and fishing package with live well. A Garmin 7" color GPS Chart plotter & fish finder with Auto Guidance feature is used to allow the chartplotter to automatically create the safest route to your destination. It also provides High-resolution satellite imagery of ports, marinas, bridges and navigational landmarks for superior situational awareness.
The new 2018 Hurricane SunDeck 2200DC has two Captains chairs and is the most popular and sought after boat in Florida. Cruise to Sanibel and Captiva Islands or use the on-the-water dining guide we provide to decide where to dock for lunch or dinner.
Southwest Florida is one of the best places in the world to see dolphins swimming up to boats and putting on a show in the wild. The original "Flipper" was actually taken from nearby Pine Island Sound. Dolphins swim in a boat's wake because they're very curious animals, and they like to see what's going on. The more noise on board, the more they seem to perform. Make some noise and you'll see them roll over and look up at you.
If you’re a golfer, you can play any of the more than 50 golf courses in our area. Restaurants and shopping are just minutes away.

Bayside is our holiday home providing us the needed break from our stressed filled lives. We love Cape Coral, the yacht club in particular, because it is close to everything we need while still providing us quick access to our beautiful gulf island beaches. We love the fantastic weather that Florida offers and of course the ocean and its abundant wildlife and beautiful beaches. We especially love the cute docile Manatees we see at our dock, and the thrill of interacting with a pod of dolphins riding the wake and jumping behind our boat. The people are fantastic and we have made many friends.
Tom purchased this House in 2004
Why Tom chose Pelican
A wide, deep canal with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico was our primary reason for choosing Bayside Villa. As it has always been our intention to offer a Cape Coral boat rental with our home, its close proximity to Ft. Myers Beach, Estero island, Sanibel island, Captiva and North Captiva islands make it an excellent choice for anyone who loves the water. The Bimini canal is the largest canal in the city and feeds the canals in Southeast Cape Coral. That is one of the reasons for the frequent sightings of dolphins and Manatees in our canal. We also enjoy the unobstructed sunshine on the pool and dock from morning to sunset.
What makes this House unique
I think the advantages of staying at Bayside are all about its location. For the most part, vacation rentals in this area are clean and comfortable, but they don't all provide the privacy of a wide water view with western exposure, or have the amazing Bimini Canal with its big boat traffic and wildlife. And they are not all within sight of the river and just six minutes from the main channel on the Caloosahatchee, nor are they so close to all the area beaches and islands. If you want to avoid long canal and river boat trips at slow wake speeds, or traffic jams at boat locks and boat lifts so that you maximize your Cape Coral boating time exploring barrier islands and beaches only accessible by boat, then this is the right vacation rental for you.

The perfect vacation spot!
This is our second year in a row at Bayside Villa and will not be our last. Tom and Daisy's home is lovely, spacious and well-appointed for a vacation getaway. Plenty of room for our five adults with most of the amenities you would want with a lovely pool, great room with an entertainment center, speakers for the pool area, well equipped kitchen and a lovely large master suite. Plenty of space in the other bedrooms, bathrooms, and dining room too. Other than clothes, food and drinks, you really don't need to bring anything else. The pictures and descriptions on this site very accurately represent what you will find there.
Cape Coral is such a great destination with plenty of restaurants, bars and natural things to see and do. Bayside Villa is in a quiet neighborhood on the canal with a close out to the river and the Intercoastal Waterway. The new boat is beautiful and there are endless destinations within easy reach by water. We hardly used our rental car except for night time venues, spending at least part of everyday on the water or beach. Capt, David provides an excellent tutorial for the boat and a great list of interesting points to visit by water.
We've contacted the owners a few times and Tom is very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. This is a highly recommended destination!

Wonderful Location Beautiful Home Terrific Boat
Located on a main canal offered us convenience to explore the area and boat to many spots daily. Beautifully kept home, clean, spacious, in quiet neighborhood allowed us to walk every morning. Parade of boats every evening going by was a real treat for boaters like us. Pool was warm even in Feb with the solar cover. Fished off the dock one day and caught some small fish. Saw dolphins or porpoise several times while boating and in the canal nearby. The avoidance of traffic by using the boat to eat lunch out everyday was a big deal! We loved going to dockside restaurants. Tom and Dixie provide all the information you need to locate all the spots, and our boating Captain was friendly and extremely informative about where and where not to go. Lots of extras at Tom and Dixie's place, didn't need to go out and buy anything except our groceries---we hope to return again soon.
Beautiful home, boat and Location
We came down for Christmas and had a wonderful time in Your well kept home. The location is awesome, it’s quick to open water and local shopping/food.
The boat was great ! Capt Dave is an asset ! His local knowledge made it easier to navigate the area. The house has everything you need and is very organized !
Thanks so much for making our vacation perfect ! Highly recommend !
Perfect for us!
Bayside was perfect for us! We loved having the boat since my husband prefers to spend his days fishing, and it was great to go shelling on Sanibel Island. The pool is also a must in our family, and we loved having the lanai. The neighborhood is quiet, and the location is fantastic. Lots of great places to eat close by! We highly recommend Bayside!
Perfect place to recharge the batteries
We have been to Bayside for the 4th time and also recommended it to our friends. Every time we get there it feels a liitle like coming home. Vacation feeling from the first minute. And even after having been there so often there is always new places and restaurants to discover, by boat or by car. The house and boat are always very well maintained. Perfect place to recharge the batteries. Thank you, Tom, for a wonderful and relaxing time at your Florida home. J&U
Great location for water views and boating
What a wonderful time staying at Bayview. The owners have done an excellent job of having all the amenities for your vacation including a boat with electric ramp with easy access to the Intercoastal. Captain Dave provided many ideas for having a meal via the boat and docking in Ft Myers Beach, Captiva/Sanibel, or our favorite in St James City at the Lower Key Tiki restaurant.
Bayside is in an ideal location with a canal that is wide enough to give you spacious water views. We look forward to a return visit.
Cape Coral is located in tropical Southwest Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. The City is separated from Fort Myers by the Caloosahatchee River. Cape Coral is surrounded by stunning natural parks and nature preserves and hosts one of the most unique ecosystems in the United States. Cape Coral is crossed by over a 1,000 miles of waterways and canals, most of which provide boater’s access to the Gulf of Mexico. Because Cape Coral has more canals than any other city in the world it is often called the “Venice of America.” Cape Coral is a paradise for boaters, fisherman, golfers, shoppers, Eco tourists, sunbathers, and warm weather enthusiasts to name a few. Bayside Villa is located in the desirable Yacht Club area located in the southeast section of the Cape, convenient to restaurants, shopping, marinas, and water parks. Just minutes from Ft. Myers, Sanibel, and Captiva beaches, our villa allows day trips to many other southwest Florida attractions such as the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Refuge located on nearby on Sanibel Island. Experience Nature like you’ve never seen before boating within the Gulf of Mexico Barrier Islands known all over the world for the abundant marine wildlife and incredible migratory bird populations. If shopping is your thing, try the Tanger or Miromar outlets in Ft. Myers or one of the many malls in the Cape Coral and Ft. Myers areas. For the sports minded, three major league baseball teams play spring baseball in the area. The Red Sox and Twins in Ft. Myers and the Tampa Bay Rays in Port Charlotte. If golf is your game, there are six courses to choose from in Cape Coral alone, with many more in Ft. Myers and the surrounding areas.
