We have been going to Casa Bacva for several years now and have stayed there more than 5 times since 2011.
Casa Bacva is an old restored house with a lovely view over the local vineyards located at the beginning of a quiet little village.
Everything is as on the photos. The big plus are the giant oak trees that provide shade during hot sunny days.
The bedroom overlooking the pool is truly magnificent –it's wonderfully restored, has a beautiful view and there is even a small balcony.
All in all, the house has that certain 'feel' of an old Istrian authentic house which is very appealing and truly represents an escape from our normal every-day lives.
We love coming to Casa Bacva and keep returning because there are peace and quiet on one hand but also good connections to cities like Višnjan and Poreč on the other and the highway is quite near (though you never hear it).
We would also like to compliment Casa Bacva's manager Caroline, who has been always ready to provide any kind of assistance during all our visits making all our stays comfortable and care-free.
We arrived at the house around the beginning of October 2014 and stayed for three weeks with a 3 year old and a 5 year old.
We were very lucky with the weather which helped with all the outings. We had a good impression of the house at first sight and looks exactly like the pictures if not better! Caroline was very accommodating and showed us around, if lights were broken or we required anything that was missing she would organize quickly. The view is immaculate! We loved watching the sunsets. It is a very nice and quiet environment, which is great if you want to retreat to peace after a busy outing. The kids enjoyed themselves in the swimming pool so spending a day at the house was a bless. The local village restaurant Milena is also a great choice when you don't feel like cooking. The house is equipped with three bedrooms which easily accommodate 6 people. It is a nice set up for a family of 4 plus parents or friends. It is located a few min from Visjnan (which has a very good butcher) and 10 min from Porec. Would def consider coming back!
We had a really great time at Casa Bacva. The village of Bacva was so peaceful and we spent our mornings exploring Istria and afternoons by the pool. The photos do not do justice to the place. The house was clean and well furnished and the local agent helped us source the best meat for the bbq, the best beaches for the children and the best vineyards for the wine. We spent many evenings at the local Konoba Milena restaurant which is only a couple of minutes walk away and a perfect end to a day. We will definitely be back.
Not for the first time, we enjoyed our holidays in casa Bacva!!!
If you've got no problem with driving about 20 minutes to a wonderful beach (zelena laguna is great) and living in a very small village (maybe 8 houses?), this place might be a good choice. There is a restaurant with a great view when the sun goes down over the sea, just 100 meters away. Another wonderful restaurant is in villa visnijan (called borgonja!), 5 minutes by car. The house, the garden and pool is fantastic. You're looking right over the vineyard. The place ist quiet and you've got no problems with any neighbours if your children are not quiet ;-)
As Schwarzenegger said: "We will be back!"
The house is lovely and comfortable, and the grounds and view are stunning. The village of Bacva is friendly with a great resturant is is well situated for trips thoughout Istria. The Wifi at the house is not reliable, signals are stronger at night than during the day. We had an issue with security at the house during our stay.
Bacva is a quaint little village comprising +/- 9 families and the famous Konoba Milena restaurant. In the middle of the village is a play area for the little ones and a gorgeous view toward the sea. On a clear day you can see the Alps. Set amidst rolling vineyards inviting you for a relaxing stroll, Bacva is also situated on a popular cycling route and you'll come across many cyclists enjoying nature. Situated just 10km from the coast, Bacva is ideally positioned for a relaxing holiday in the countryside but close enough to enjoy the historic town of Porec as well as being great base from which to enjoy all the delights that Istria has to offer.
