This custom home has unobstructed mountain views right behind the house! lt is located in the very desirable upper west side Cove area on a very quiet street. Just sit back and enjoy the pristine, wonderful mountain views! Totally turnkey furnished. Plenty of room for 2 to 6 people with a great floor plan. No smoking is allowed inside or outside the house or premises! No pets allowed at all! FREE trash service included. All rentals September 2017 through May 2018 monthly include $125 each month of gas and electricity usage combined, water usage over $30 per month will be paid by the tenant.

IMPORTANT: LQ fire codes are firm and it is a fire hazard and illegal to have more occupants than indicated in the listing! Any contract for this vacation house rental must state names of people occupying and anticipated guests!

About Gerald Couch

We first came to the Coachella Valley in 1984, from the Chicago suburbs and found it interesting back then, although there was absolutely nothing on Highway 111 from Indian Wells to Shield's Date Gardens on the corner of Jefferson and 111. We have been timeshare owners for over 30 years and are well acquainted with what you cannot get for your $$, such as more than 2 bedrooms or select locations! We have owned properties in four states and lived and rented or owned in five, which are all expensive areas. We have lived in La Quinta Cove for 20 years.

The house is located on a very quiet street with unobstructed views of Santa Rosa mountains behind the house! Walking, biking and hiking paths are just around the corner on Montezuma. The immediate area is protected conservation land. There is wildlife to view such as quail, doves, hawks, roadrunners, small geckos, little lizards, many hummingbirds due to abundance of aloe vera planted at the property. Exceptional house and location! Feels like a small town only up in our Cove with plenty of convenience within 1-4 miles.

What makes this house unique

Very comfortable Cove 2 bedrooms, 2 baths clean house, with all new bedding and linens, glasses, dishes, cooking pots and pans, utensils and more. The living room is very spacious as well as all rooms. Newer washer and dryer (inside laundry). ALL HDTV's (2 presently) are NEW! We take pride in this house inside and out. House has been lovingly lived in, well cared for, and the owners only use eco-friendly cleaning products due to them being very allergic. Everything is a plus here!

Wonderful sunshine & more!

We could not have picked a better house to stay in considering everything! The house was well fitted with everything anyone in our family needed during the stay. I cannot say enough about the beautiful mountain views from any house window! The conservation area was so unique and close to the house that we wished we could have stayed longer to hike more. Old Town La Quinta was interesting and fun to just walk around and check things here and there to shop.

Paradise! A must rent home!

My family and I were so pleased to have been able to come to La Quinta and rent this lovely house! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this upscale home and mostly in La Quinta proper, although we did make a side trip over to the P.S. Tramway to enjoy what was available to do there. Our parents, who were visiting with us from Spain, were surprised how beautiful the immediate area is by the vacation house. We went out for a couple of special dinners while vacationing, but the chef's kitchen really was convenient and had everything we had hoped and more. The furnishings are quite nice and the house is absolutely gorgeous inside and out! We will miss it, the blue skies and location very much!

Deluxe Birthday for me and 3 friends :)

Since I have been working steadily for six years and have a good job, I decided I wanted to go somewhere really beautiful with interesting topography for my birthday. I invited three of my friends to come stay with me too. We LOVED the vacation house, the quaint Old Town shops, other nearby conveniences and the Indian Casinos! We all went hiking up the famous trails which are just around the corner from this great house. There is so much open space which I'm told is conservation land right close to the house. If you like lots of sun and want to be near the La Quinta Hotel without a lot of noise, this is a place for you to seriously consider renting. There is lots of golfing available at Silver Rock and elsewhere within a couple of miles or so. Although I know staying in La Quinta is expensive, even at the nearby Embassy Suites in winter, this house is reasonably priced even for working twenty somethings and older! Thanks again for letting us rent and enjoy all of it so I could have a great birthday celebration!

Honestly it was luxurious and so nice! Delicious lemons picked right from the tree!

My friend and I rented this house quite readily after seeing the beautiful pictures here online, location of it and amenities. The price to rent is SO good and the mountain views are absolutely incredible from the back patio and yards with no obstructions at all! The street was very quiet, also, which meant no worries and good sleep. We wish we could have been here at this house longer, but our schedules did not permit it with involvement with the horse circuit. Thank you for being such nice owners and property carers!

Our group loved it!!

Although we stayed only four nights, the beautiful house was very much to our liking! First of all, the location is absolutely superior and on a very quiet residental street. Then, the covered patio right off the kitchen/dining area, was something we really enjoyed with the spectacular mountain views and ample room at the patio table with 8 chairs. The outdoor BBQ grill was just great as well as the kitchen oven and broiler and all appliances, dishes, etc. The dining room table is very high end as well as the chrome frame and chairs! All the beds were comfortable with nice linens and pillows. Both bathrooms were supplied with several full size, specialty shampoos, body wash, and more! We liked the various indoor and outdoor games, such as croquet, that were supplied with this vacation rental, also. The large living room TV, with the sound bar, was excellent! This house was well worth our expense and we all felt satisfied with the location and amenities. This is a special home not to be missed if you can book it!

Happy Canadian Winter Break and Visit to the Cove sun and fun

My husband and I came to visit friends, who own a house in La Quinta Cove, but we wanted a place of our own for the time we were staying away from the terrible Canadian winters. It was the perfect choice for us to rent this wonderful, top notch location home! The skies were so beautiful at night and we enjoyed the stars which could easily be seen above and near the very close mountains. I have never stayed anywhere I felt more at home and at peace than here! We enjoyed being able to pick some lemons fresh from the tree in the back yard on a daily basis and they are nice and sweet. The yards, shrubs and many flowering plants are so wonderful to view here versus plain cement or gravel and hardly any landscaping like most desert rentals. Of course, the mountain directly behind the property provides some shade, as well as the covered patio, and perfect views of nature! Hope we can return to this house again in 2015. Thank you!

La Quinta Cove is the historical area, which has a vast acreage of conservation land to the west of our house, with walking and hiking trails. We are known as the Golf Capital of the World and the Gem of the desert! La Quinta is host to the La Quinta Arts Festival which is every March. We have many artists in our Cove community. Silver Rock golf course is on Avenue 52, within a mile or so and it is a super nice golf course! We have our city historical museum, located in Old Town, as well as a post office and many shops. The area is very convenient overall and our location is on a quieter street. The historic, famous La Quinta Hotel is within a mile of our house. The Indian Wells Tennis Garden matches are held every year off Highway 111 and Washington, approx. 4 miles to the north of our location, in the month of March. Every winter, from January to March, the Polo Tournaments are enjoyed locally. La Quinta has an abundance of local outdoor art to be seen especially between the Civic Center and the Library, on Calle Tampico. The Thermal airport is not very far away, which makes it convenient for those who want to fly in their own plane versus driving to the area. When traveling on Avenue 52, toward Indio, you can still see the ancient coral formations in the very local mountains. Shield's Date Gardens, in Indio, is not to be missed, as they have the original Moroccan date palms which bear every year! Knott's water park is in Palm Springs, as well as the famous Tramway, with interesting views all year long and a dining area up top at 8,500 ft. In Palm Springs, you may want to visit original Indian Canyons if time allows.
