This apartment is located on Parnell St, which is minutes from O'Connell St. It has been refurbished to a very high standard and because of it's central location is only a few minutes walk to all the major attractions in Dublin city centre. For travellers who want to explore more of Ireland it is close to all the major travel links and is also close to departure points for tours of the rest of the country. (more details of these can be found in the Tourist Information office)

The accommodation comprises a small but fully equipped kitchen with clothes washing machine, and microwave oven, living room with dining table and seating for 4, L shaped sofa with pull out double bed, WIFI, cable TV with integrated DVD player (small DVD library provided) , and iPod dock with FM radio. The bedroom has a double bed, bedside cabinets and lamps and linen and towels are provided. There is a three piece bathroom with power shower over the bath. Shaver point in Bathroom and hair-dryer are also provided.

This is truly a home from home experience and we hope you will find everything you need to provide this. On booking you will gain access to the Hospitality Manager which will provide useful information about the apartment and the surrounding areas. 14 days before you travel you will find the contact details of my representative in Dublin who will greet you and show you how everything works.

This apartment is located on the third floor of a quiet building. There are two lifts or elevators to the third floor from the entrance lobby. Because this building is located on a relatively little used stretch of one way street, there is little passing traffic so it is even quieter.

The apartment building is very secure and there are several layers of security between the front door and the door of the apartment itself which can add a sense of security to anybody travelling alone in a new city. There are two key controlled doors in the entrance hall and then a door to the corridor locked by keypad entry before you get to the apartment door which is also secured by lock.

Although it is a city centre location, there are numerous food shops and supermarkets very close by, as well as the usual raft of entertainment venues, restaurants and bars within only a couple of minutes walk and a multi screen cinema literally next door.

The trip from the airport to the apartment is only about 6 miles (10km approx), and the route is well served with buses, specialist airport coaches and taxis. A taxi from the airport should cost in the region of €30 or less for two people but you would be well advised to obtain a quote before travelling.

You are truly in the city centre, and are within walking distance of all the main city cente attractions. World famous Temple Bar is about a 12 minute walk, and glamourous Grafton Street and the south side are about a 20 minute walk across the River Liffey. They are currently building a direct tram line to Grafton Street and it's amenities about 100 meters around the corner from the apartment, making the south side of the city even more accessible. Trinity College, housing the ancient Book Of Kells is only 10 minutes walk away. The main theatres are also close by with the world famous Abbey Theatre just a couple of streets away off O'Connell Street, and the Gate theatre just around the corner on Parnell Square. The Olympia theatre is also a short walk away. For larger venues, The Point which houses the O2 is a short tram journey away, and the tram stop for The Luas is just a stones throw from apartment in Jervis Street.

If you want to travel further afield you can either catch the Luas or take the 20 minute or so walk to either Connelly Station or Tara Street Station and catch the Dart which is the name for the local railway and go northwards following the coast to visit the beaches in North County Dublin and see the lovely fishing village of Howth, or alternatively head south to visit Dalkey which is a lovely village on the south side. You will find along the route several places mentioned in James Joyce's famous writings, including the Martello Towers.

I was born and grew up in Dublin and left home to get a job in the UK in the early 1980's when I was in my 20's. I now live in the UK but bought this apartment in Dublin many years ago after the death of my Mum, so that I have a place for my family and myself to visit, so that I get to keep my accent and my children get to know a bit about their roots!

Why Carolyn Potter chose Inns Quay

I bought this property because it is right in the very centre of things in the city centre. It is on the northside (only just north of the river!), and because I am a Northsider I was attracted to it, Everywhere you would want to visit is walkable from the front door. Also this particular apartment, although it was just one bedroom, was significantly more spacious than most that I looked at and it was also in a nice well maintained block.

It fitted the bill for holidays or short break in Ireland.

We refurbished the property a couple of years ago, and completely refurnished it, and it now offers everything you would want in a home from home setting.

We also installed WIFI, and cable TV so there is a full range of entertainment options available. There is a small DVD library there too.

What makes this apartment unique

The main benefit of this property is it's location. Although it is right in the heart of the city it is not on a main traffic route. It is situated on a little used stretch of a one way system, so there is very little street noise. The apartment is on the third floor and in all my visits there I have never heard any noise coming from the neighbouring apartments. It feels a very comfortable place to be .

In this part of the city centre there are several apartment blocks and they have been well catered by foodstores. There are several major supermarkets withing a couple of minutes walk and many other small convenience stores, not to mention the myriad of bars, restaurants and other venues right on your doorstep.

Nous revenons de 4 nuits à Dublin dans l'appartement de Carolyn Potter.

Je suis très contente de mon séjour dans cet appartement.

La propriétaire habite l'Angleterre et je savais que nous ne nous verrions pas.

Elle a été très gentille, très rassurante et très patiente avec toutes mes questions.

Nous sommes arrivés avec le bus sur O'Connel Street et nous avons trouvé notre adresse sans aucune difficulté.

Je voulais que le quartier soit sécuritaire et ne pas avoir peur en rentrant la nuit.

C'était impeccable.

Henry Street et ses magasins sont à 1 minute de l'appartement ce qui a fait le bonheur de ma fille qui a pu partir en expédition shopping toute seule.

Il y a toutes les sortes de fastfood sur le boulevard à quelques minutes de l'immeuble ainsi que plusieurs supérettes.

Donc aucun soucis pour faire les courses.

Nous mettions 9 minutes à pied en passant par Capel Street pour se rendre au premier Pub à Temple bar (the Porterhouse était très animé)

L'appartement était très propre.



L'appartement, l'immeuble et le quartier sont impeccables.



La literie dans la chambre est très moelleuse.



Par contre celle du canapé convertible est plus ferme. C'est un peu difficile pour mettre un drap en dessous mais il est confortable et grand pour 2 personnes adultes.



Les couettes sont agréables.

Nous avions des serviettes de bains à notre disposition. Cela pourrait être pratique d'avoir quelques chose dans la salle de bain pour les mettre à sécher.



Je n'ai pas eu froid du tout dans l'appartement malgré le temps mitigé.



Et il y a des radiateurs si besoin de chauffage supplémentaire.



Je reviendrais sans hésiter dans cette appartement si nous revenons à Dublin."

This is a third floor city centre apartment, and a car is not necessary, as public transport is on your doorstep. If you wished to hire a car for longer trips out of the city, there is a large public car park next to the building where you can park a car for €14 per day. Night rates also apply, and there is also free street parking from 7pm till 7am. Even though it is a city centre, there is a good range of food shops and supermarkets within a few minutes walk. There is also a taxi rank directly opposite the building, servicing the multiplex cinema located next door. Internet access has been upgraded to cable broadband WIFI 8mg at no additional charge. In addition there is an internet cafe yards away. You will be greeted by our representative and will find linens and towels are provided for your stay. This apartment truly is a home from home, and is right in the heart of Dublin. You couldn't be closer to the centre of things if you tried.

Great apartment in the heart of Dublin

I had a fantastic time staying at this apartment in Dublin. It has a great central location, right in the heart of the city. The apartment had everything we needed and it fitted four of us comfortably for a couple of days. The bed was extremely comfortably and the apartment was homely. I would definitely stay here again, and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a short break in Dublin!

Secure apartment, centrally located.

This is a great little apartment, the building is extremely secure. In fact, allow yourself a couple minutes just to get in and out of the apartment. Although the common hallways smell of smoke the apartment itself was very clean and well maintained. The owner Carolyn is not local however she was very responsive to any questions regarding our stay. Inez is the property manager. She doesn’t live on site but is close by and extremely helpful with anything you may need. I was traveling with a friend from work, and for two females in a foreign country we never felt unsafe regardless if we left for a tour in the dark at 6am or returned home after midnight. The shopping center (mall) iLac is just a couple blocks away, along with great shopping and restaurants on O’Connell St and Henry St. The Temple bar district was about a mile away, still easily walking distance from the apartment. For trips that took us further out, like to the train station, Aviva Park, 3Park Arena or even back to the airport. The Taxi’s park and wait for passengers directly across from the theater in front of Penny’s which is right around the corner. Helpful tip: The apartment was a little difficult to find. Just keep going all the around to the back of the theater where the road curves as it doesn’t actually face Parnell St. We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome.

Great location, very nice apartment building, good size for 3-4 people, had everything we needed. We did have some issues with sticky doors and a stubborn shower. Also, would not recommend taking the elevator.

Apartment was clean and well equipped. Water pressure in tub is low, though there is a booster for the shower, and we adjusted quickly.

The apartment is clean and has new wooden floors that help make it feel that way. The location is good, with good access to transportation, though the view is over a used bicycle yard. The building feels secure, but the carpet in the hallway outside the apartment is really dirty and stained.

This was an amazing flat to stay at and I would highly recommend it. Great location with tons to do. Very close to the river and an easy walk to Temple Bar. Overall, great stay!

This property is located right in the very heart of the city centre on the north side of the river Liffey. It is located in a residential block on Parnell Street, which runs parallel to Henry Street (2 minutes walk) which at one time was labelled the busiest shopping street in Europe. O' Connell Street which is normally considered the centre of the city is only 5 minutes walk from the front door.

There are numerous bars, shops restaurants and attractions on the doorstep, and the world famous Temple bar is only a leisurely 12 minute walk away over the River Liffey.In addition there is a multiplex cinema directly next door to the apartment building. You would find it hard to be closer to the heart of the city.
