About Magdalena and Bruce Beall (Yellowstone/Yosemite Vacation Rental Homes, LLC)
We bought Deer Ridge Vacation Home because the area around Mariposa is so beautiful, offering stunning views of the foothills of the Sierras and so close to Yosemite Park.
Magdalena and Bruce Beall (Yellowstone/Yosemite Vacation Rental Homes, LLC) purchased this House in 2013
Why Magdalena and Bruce Beall (Yellowstone/Yosemite Vacation Rental Homes, LLC) chose Mariposa
This property stood out from other homes because it has been very well maintained and because the 5.6 acre property is wonderfully landscaped with rock formations alternating with gardens, and frequently visited by deer and other wildlife. We feel very fortunate to have been able to purchase it and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this House unique
You will love the peace and quiet as you listen to the birds singing and the wind rustling the leaves of the trees. You will feel yourself relax as you take in the beauty of the panoramic views. You'll come away feeling renewed!

And a good time was had by all
This house is not typical. It’s a home. Comfortable and well appointed. Plenty of all the things you need and can’t pack. Wild deer families, wild turkeys, sunsets and sunrises. We loved being there
We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay - again! You are welcome back any time!
Very nice owner/manager. Very clean. Very spacious for our group of 6. Everything you need!
Thank you for your nice review, Matthew! Please come again!
This property is beautiful and we'll maintained. It has every extra you could think of. We had a wonderful time, and made many great memories
Highly recommended for large groups.
Outstanding property for a large group! Very comfortable, lots of room to spread out. Hot tub was a great bonus, and Bruce gave me a personal training session on hot tub use! A bit of a drive to get to Yosemite (1 hour) but we knew that when we booked, so no complaint. Great views all around the home, and excellent proximity to Mariposa.
Thank you for your wonderful review, Craig! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. You are right, the views are great in all directions. You are welcome back any time!
Home Away from Home
The photos were amazing, but actually seeing the home surpassed all of our expectations. Bruce and Magdalena were friendly and attentive. It was nice to know that they weren't too far away. The home was fully stocked with everything we could would ever need. Thank you for thinking of everything so we didn't have to and could relax and enjoy the area. Also, the people of Mariposa was so friendly and refreshing. Highly recommend this property and town.
Thank you for your kind words! We enjoyed having you stay at our vacation home and are so glad that you enjoyed not only the house and property, but also the historic town of Mariposa. You are welcome back any time!
Great Family Get-Away
Lovely home. Plenty of room for privacy and plenty of room for all of us together. Great view. We had 3 turkeys in back yard! Highly recommend.
Deer Ridge Vacation Home is 36 miles from the entrance to Yosemite Park and only 42 miles from the loop road leading to the amazing Yosemite Valley with all of its beautiful mountains, vistas and waterfalls. Scenic Route 140 from Mariposa, running along the Merced River, is the most direct and shortest route to the Yosemite Valley, when compared to the routes from the other major gateway towns such as Oakhurst and Groveland.
The Merced River also provides opportunities for whitewater and scenic rafting, kayaking, swimming, hiking and picnics. Mariposa is a charming and scenic small town nestled in the foothills of the Sierras. Downtown there are plenty of good restaurants, art galleries, clothing and souvenir shops and banks/ATMs.
The Pioneer Market in Mariposa is a large well-supplied grocery store offering a vast array of wine and food choices, including organic vegetables.
Must-see places in Mariposa include the California State Mining and Mineral Museum, the Mariposa Museum and History Center and the historic Courthouse, built in 1854 and still in use today. Summer tours of the Courthouse begin Memorial day weekend. A large public swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court and skateboard park are open to the public in the Mariposa County Park, 4 miles from the home. The quiet country roads in the vicinity of the vacation home are perfect for walking and mountain biking. Bicycle rentals are available in the area.
