This spacious home is located in the deAnza Country Club area, with views of 5 different fairways. If that doesn’t say “let’s relax” then what does? It is also 5 miles northwest of Christmas Circle within 2,000 feet of the mountains to the west and set back from de Anza County Club's 7th fairway to the north. No matter where you look you'll see either mountains, desert or multiple fairways lined with 150' eucalyptus trees. Adding to the splendor is a beautiful pool (heated to the low 80's in the winter) a lovely spa and two tennis courts.
Let's talk about the home. You walk into a large 'desert scaped' courtyard and then through huge double doors into the home. You enter into a foyer with serpentine stairway leading to the second floor and then immediately into an enormous 1,400 sf living, dinning and kitchen area. The volume of the room, with its 20' ceilings the three 8' wide sliding patio doors gives you a sense of openness seldom found. This huge area unfolds onto a rear patio which runs the entire width of the house. From the living room, dining room and the patio, you look north and east to the quiet beauty of the mountains and golf course. The home was totally remodeled in 2012/13. The kitchen has granite counters and every appliance, from the range and refrigerator to the washer / dryer are new. Six people could cook comfortably together in this kitchen. Whether watching TV in the living room, doing a jigsaw puzzle at the dining room table, reading a book on the patio, or squeezing grapefruits in the kitchen, you will always feel (and be) a part of what is going on.
There are three big bedrooms, each with a full bath. The down stairs room has two double beds, the smaller of the upstairs bedroom (with its own patio) has a queen bed. The master bedroom, with a king bed, has both east and west facing patios. Wonderful places to escape to read a book or just enjoy the colors of either sunrise or sunset as they change across the valley's multiple mountain ranges.
Special Note: For those of you staying a week or longer a temporary guest card for de Anza Country Club can be arranged. All the facilities of the club, including a wonderful gym, formal or informal dinning and the driving range are yours for your stay. Play is subject to reserving a tee time and paying normal green fees.
The owner, John Blair, lives in Borrego 9 months of the year and in the boundary waters of Minnesota / Ontario Canada during the summer. His primary residence is on the 10th fairway of de Anza Country Club. Mr. Blair is a member of de Anza Country Club, but more importantly, after 35 years in San Diego, he enjoys the quiet of the Borrego Valley. He says Borrego is like the boundary waters. Pines instead of palms and lakes and rivers replacing greens and fairways.

This property works well for either a couple looking for a quiet week, a family who wants to play in the pool or hit balls on the tennis court or two or three couples that have want to enjoy a long weekend 'get away'.
Think of the location...on the golf course, amazing hiking right out the front door; a heated swimming pool and spa *, tennis courts and all this, only a 15 minute bike ride from town or the visitor information center. * Please remember that only a very, very few Borrego pools are heated. Golf course privileges are incredible for those who want to play.
