Beautiful cabin owned by the sweetest people!

  • 5 of 5

My best friend, her family and my family and I decided to evacuate from hurricane Irma. We are so glad we did! Our evacuation felt more like a vacation as the cabin was just beautiful and so so homey. There were so many thoughtful touches and the layout was really great. This cabin is very well made! It has a full bathroom and porch/deck on each level, which is really great if you are sharing the cabin with another family (which I definitely recommend!) The kitchen had everything we needed minus the food and we loved the firepit down by our own personal creek! We made S'mores and grilled hot dogs which the kids LOVED. There is a grill too which we used and had a nice dinner out on their picnic table on one of the decks. The washer and dryer came in super handy so we are actually traveling home with all clean clothes hooray! We fired up their hot tub on one of the chilly nights which was so relaxing! There is also a fireplace in both the game room and living room. The super soft hotel quality towels and extra soft blankets really made us feel at home. We have stayed in Blue Ridge before for vacations and love visiting this little city. The mountains are beautiful and the people are nice. Many locals stopped us a expressed well wishes for our friends, family and home. Definitely visit Mercier Orchards when you stay! This cabin delivered in every way but I cannot say enough about this cabin's owner!! We found out our power would possibly be out on our planned day of departure so we thought we had better check to see if it was alright to stay an extra day or so if need be. Well, we were delighted and so surprised when they offered for us to stay a couple extra days free of charge due to our circumstances. This is just plain good human being behavior. Helping people who are having a hard time. They did not do this for recognition which is why it is truly special. So yes! I absolutely recommend this beautiful cabin run by really really good people!!! You'll not only love this cabin, but patronize some good folks as well. :)

Great location and very comfortable home.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with our three children for three nights. The house was more than large enough and had everything we needed. The location was very central to the activities nearby in downtown Blue Ridge as well as to other activities like rafting, that were further out of town. The owner was responsive to the few questions we had. We would definitely stay there again.
