About Kent and Cindy Maxson
My husband Max and I are proud to call Nashville home. We are fans of great food, excellent wine, enriching travel -our profile pic is from a 2015 trip to Ireland- and time with family and friends. Max is a singer songwriter who has an RIAA Gold Record for his hit single, “From Where I’m Sitting,” recorded by Gary Allan in 1997. Cindy is a real estate investor who loves renovating and building houses. The spring 2017 completion of Chateau on Monroe is the fulfillment of our latest dream: providing guests from around the world an exceptional hosting experience as they explore everything our beloved city has to offer, served up with a heaping portion of good ole southern Music City hospitality. Chateau on Monroe is my business, but serving my guests is where my heart is. I am here personally, ready at a moment's notice, to take care of those who entrust their hard-earned vacations and special events to me. When you call us, you are talking to a Nashville Local! Why Kent and Cindy Maxson chose North Nashville
Max and Cindy are proud to call Nashville and Chateau on Monroe our home. We spent all of 2016 completely rebuilding this historic house, constructed in 1900, into a modern and contemporary home full of luxurious character and charm. From inception to completion our plans included designating the entire second level as a fully enclosed and private vacation rental unit so that others may enjoy our marvelous city in luxurious style. Welcome to Nashville! If you need help getting around, facts and information, recommendations, or can't remember how to operate the coffeemaker, we're just downstairs so you're usually seconds away from needed assistance. Craving some privacy? With our smart keypad locks, we'll give you the code and other than a txt in case of questions you will have complete privacy during your time here.

Max and Cindy were such wonderful hosts! We were greeted with two giant plates of cookies and all the amenities you could ever need, and then some. Plenty of room, very clean and well decorated, private entrance, and close proximity to all the best of Nashville. One of our favorite mornings was taking a less than 10 min walk to eat at Monells (many other great restaurants nearby in Germantown, but Monells wins. Hands. Down.), then hopping on some scooters right outside and taking them to the broadway strip for the Johnny cash museum. All things Opryland and the rest of downtown (where we fit in an hour at the Escape room before a dinner and then the honky tonk bars on broadway) are a quick Lyft ride away. Excellent stay, we will be coming back to Nashville and will be staying at the Chateau again. Thanks for everything!
Thank you Katherine for the great review. We love to hear that our guests have had an awesome visit to our wonderful city. It was wonderful to meet you guys. Please know you are always welcome to stay at Chateau On Monroe. We hope to see you again soon.

Amazing place to stay
Our stay here exceeded our expectations. Cindy and Max were wonderful hosts and made our stay so comfortable. The house had every thing we needed for our stay and so much more. Beautifully decorated, large bedrooms and bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen. The perfect place. Thank you so much Cindy and Max!
Hosts are very accommodating, super nice.
Great space, comfortable, really enjoyed all of it. Would definitely use again. Thank the hosts for being so communicative leading up to it.
The Best VRBO Experience
The Chateau on Monroe was the perfect place to stay in Nashville for our birthday group. Cindy was a fantastic host and extremely accommodating, everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and effortless. This is the best experience I have had with a vrbo property and a host. I would stay at this property again in a heartbeat and highly recommend this as a property if you are headed to Nashville.
Buena Vista is a beautiful, southern, historic neighborhood that is going through a dramatic transformation. It has recently become one of Nashville's diverse urban places to live, bordering beautiful Germantown where many of Nashville's best restaurants are in walking distance. To name a few: Nashville's James Beard award-winning City House, 5th and Taylor, Rolf & Daughters, Butchertown Hall, Steadfast Coffee, Red Bicycle Coffee and Crepes, Germantown Cafe, Monell's Country Kitchen, Barista Parlor, 312 Pizza Company, Cochon Butcher, Juice-Bar Germantown, the Little Donkey and Jack Brown's Burgers & Beers. Nashville's largest farmer's market is also only minutes away by foot with several other dining options and fresh produce. As for other entertainment, you'll be walking distance to First Tennessee Park (home of the Nashville Sounds which is Oakland A's AAA affiliate). Nissan Stadium (home of the Tennessee Titans), the Ryman Auditorium, and all of the honkytonks on downtown Broadway are just a short Uber/Lyft ride away!
