I've been designing and renting properties to visitors in the panhandle since 2001. Our properties have included homes in Rosemary Beach as well as Panama City area. Our guest experience is important to us and we take pride in our aesthetically pleasing environment.
Jim Douglass purchased this cottage in 2009
The property is newly renovated on a street lined with 1940s beach cottages. The minute walk to the beach is priceless.
Quiet street, beach lot access, restaurants and attractions close by. Miles and miles of white beaches just a minute walk away.
I knew this place wasn't going to be a high end experience based on the pictures alone. But it is what it is. It's a older house in an old neighborhood by the beach. The price to rent was cheaper than many others listed. It had some cute pieces in it and it worked for what we needed it to work for. We did think it needed some good locks on the doors other than the twist kind on the door knobs only. Dead locks would be more secure and definitely make you feel safer. The house was cute and the beds were comfy. You did notice more of the age of the home and the wear spots throughout the place kind of showed themselves over a couple days living there. There is a lovely tray on the counter, that covers a hole. The curtains were falling down in the kitchen. The bathroom needs updating although the water pressure of the shower is excellent. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived but I think it feels dirty because it's an older house that needs money put into it. Again, it is what it is - a rental house on the beach that generates income for someone. The beach was gorgeous and the water heavenly. We had a great time playing in the ocean and hanging on the beach.
our family really enjoyed this cottage: it was clean, comfortable with everything needed! Great location! we will be back next year!
Property wasnt exactly what i expected, but it did what we needed it to do. We booked last minute so we were glad we had somewhere close to the beach to stay. The beach view from front porch has now been obstructed by two new homes being built there and this was not updated in the photos so we were a little confused when looking for the place while looking for the view that no longer existed. Water pressure was good, ac worked great beds were decent while other things like measuring cups, blender and tvs in the bedrooms would have been nice being we had children to entertain at night and had to watch cartoons. Although some probably dont need these things while on vacation in florida. The people who run the place were great and freindly bringing the kids cookies, rafts, beach chairs and offering to accommodate us in anyway we needed! Overall we had a great time and enjoyed are stay!
This is a quaint little house that's only about a block from the beach and the water is absolutely gorgeous! Laguna Beach and nearby towns are quiet with just a few restaurants and shops, and Panama City is just 10 minutes down the road with a few more options if you can pull yourself away from the beach. We loved eating at Bayou Bills and Thomas's Donuts, then visiting Pier 77 for shopping and more food.
The house is open and airy and cute with tons of windows and light. It's simple but it gets the job done for showering, sleeping and conversations over coffee before heading to the beach. I went on a girls' trip and we all felt it was clean and as described. It's outfitted with new Ikea furniture. Be prepared for the loudest beds in the world! You can't sit on one or roll over without waking up whoever is in the bed with you! That said, the mattresses seemed comfy enough, just loud. We were surprised by and thankful for the outdoor shower plus the washer/dryer and cup of complimentary soap.
The parking was not marked and we got a note to move our car, not a big deal. There were a few dead roaches on the floor which is gross, but I guess it is Florida and what can you expect? Obviously the house gets sprayed often or they wouldn't be dead!
Overall, we loved it and would certainly vacation here again.
We rented this adorable house for speakers at a conference within walking distance to your place and they loved it! They said it was quiet, very nicely decorated and had everything they needed so close to the beach and our conference. Jim was so easy to work with, even when we found out at the last minute that one of our speakers was coming in a day early. We needed it cleaned between the two weeks we rented it and they did not disappoint. It was one less thing I had to worry about. Thanks so much for your kind hospitality. We hope to be back annually.
My family and I enjoyed a great weekend getaway at this nice beach home. It is very roomy with modern furnishings that lend to the laid back beach theme with a touch of class. Outside back entrance is a great shower to rinse off the beach before entering with shower just inside the door. Loved this feature. Has patio areas that are great for listening to the waves at night. The neighborhood is quiet which is great for relaxing. Had a little trouble with TV. Must have gotten unplugged while cleaning but property managers helped set it back up pretty quickly, no big deal. Need some new ropes on the shade tarps for patio, I had to piece one together but not a big deal. All in all it is hard to find a place where you can take an 11 yr old and an 88 yr old to the same place and still be comfortable but this was good. Not to many steps or obstacles. Also the owner was nice enough about letting us check in same day. Very nice people had a great time.
Conveniently located down street from the specialty grocer, Carousel Grocery, and the best donut shop on front beach road, Thomas' Donuts. Of course many fresh sea food restaurants within a mile.
