*Irene has lived in LA all her life, and has owned a number of cool homes in Santa Monica, Venice and other parts of LA over the years. She has worked in Banking and is a certified globe trotter. She knows everything to know in LA, and will be thrilled to welcome you to the beach house!

* Haj has lived all over the world (including LA) and has homes in LA, Hongkong and France. When not travelling, she lives in HK with her husband and 2 boys, and fills her days playing (almost) pro golf, Grade A tennis, scuba diving.

* Marga has lived half her life in the Philippines and half in Hong Kong, where she is now based with her husband and 2 kids. After 20 years as a Banker, she has recently turned in her high heels and is determined to spend the next few years building up a global real estate portfolio, while doing yoga and lunching with the girls!

Why Irene Romero chose Los Angeles

We were ecstatic to find this property, our first venture together!

Venice walk streets are absolutely super. They are not on the oceanfront, but perpendicular to it- so it is away from the noisy boardwalk crowd (and therefore private) yet it is right at the beach! The house is probably in the best walk street in Venice. It is 3 houses from the sand.

We just Love Venice-- it is eclectic, unpretentious and simply electric. It is the epitome of California cool. And it is getting cooler by the day, with new bars, restaurants and shops setting up in the neighborhood. You can walk or bike to everywhere!

The beach house is fabulous. We had a blast refurbishing it over the past 6 months, and thrilled about how we have collaborated to come up with something we all love.

What makes this house unique

Our favorite part of the house is the Roof Deck- we imagined our guests soaking up the sun here, or entertaining under the stars in perfect LA weather. You will have a spectacular time here! The house comes with an elevator all the way to the roof, all the better to ferry up food & drinks from the kitchen.

We also love the living room skylight- LA always has such a gorgeous blue skies! If you are like us, you will enjoy just sinking into the beach house sofas, music in the background, nice California wine on hand..and chat the day away. Perfect!

We picked out a large dining table - we love good food and entertaining, and we always travel with our whole brood in tow! We hope you enjoy many wonderful meals with friends and family around this lovely table!

When I first reached out to Irene I wasn't sure she would be willing to rent her gorgeous home for an event. She was not only open to the idea but trusted my partner and I to host a gathering of 50 people. She even met with us a week prior to give us a tour of the property and recommended individuals who could assist at the event. It all went super smoothly and the space met our every need. We and our guests enjoyed all the features of this fully automated property, from gorgeous, immaculate, comfortable spaces on each floor to an enormous roof deck with panoramic views. Our guests were very impressed by the property and we all enjoyed a very special day/evening together.

Such a bad experience !

We were supposed to stay 9 months in this house ,.....but we left it just after one month!

Indeed ,the co owner (Who manages the house in LA) ,"forgot" to tell us,that 3 villas ,just around ours ,...were in works !!!

And,during one month it was absolutely terrible: from 7.30am till 4.30 pm. It was impossible to rest,or to work in the house ! Everyday were noisy, with building works ,and dust ....

And the co owner ,instead of being pleasant ,or being sorry for the big trouble caused ,the co owner was especially and particularly unpleasant ,and inefficient !

I have rented villas in many countries of the world ,and I never saw such a bad attitude from an owner. Since the first day until our departure it was a nightmare !!!

The house is not the problem ,( even though there are only 2 real bedrooms ),it's the unacceptable attitude of the owner,and her incapacity to arrange or to solve any problem !

Our only good moment ,during this month ,was when we left the house .....fortunately to find a fantastic penthouse ,directly on the beach at Marina peninsula ,...with a perfect owner and without noise !

Owner's Response: This was a difficult client from the beginning. They wanted to move in the day they saw the unit. This was due to their unhappiness with the last unit. The would call and want the handy man to deal with a problem. He would drive a hour and when he got to the door they would say they had made the mistake and never tried to contact him. They wanted me to guarantee there would be no construction near the house which I was unable to do. They was nothing I could do to make this couple happy. In the end I let them out of the lease and they dismantled my alarm system and I had to replace it. Never have we gotten a bad review..before or since. We are very attentive owners.

We loved the rooftop living space! Every detail was exactly as described in the listing. It is a few short steps to the beach and we thought it was a perfect location. It is also a short walk to some amazing restaurants. We ate at an Italian place that had a top notch menu. The rental is spacious, filled with natural light, the decor is pristine and the dining table is simply beautiful. It is a close drive to the Santa Monica Pier and the walk to beach was full of activities. Great sand volleyball!

Great Beach retreat

This "hip retreat" is barefoot steps away from the sand and sun and surf. It is clean and well maintained. The kitchen appliances and utensils are abundant. The owners are generous spirited and helpful. The architectural home is light filled and perfect for large group gatherings. We enjoyed the full moon from the rooftop and the quiet of the location. The elevator made accessing the 4th floor rooftop user friendly. Especially good for families.

Great Winter break in Venice Beach !

Terrific villa, very well equipped (furnitures, kitchen, Tv, sound system, PS3...) very comfortable, modern and cozy, full of light with large windows (+big sky window). Great location 50 yards away from the beach and boardwalk in a quiet and chic part of Venice. Perfect for our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers), bike ride every day (Santa Monica, Marina del Rey...), drinks on the roof top where you have a great view on the ocean and LA, very close to busy Abbot Kinney. this house is a must in this area of LA !

Lovely Home, location and hospitality!

We spent a week at New Years at the "Venice Retreat" and enjoyed everything about the house and the hospitality extended by the owners and their reps.
