About Colleen & Craig Bissell

Our family resides in Lafayette, California. Since childhood, both my husband and myself have always dreamed of having a beautiful spot in Lake Tahoe. We both learned to ski at Sugar bowl and Squaw Valley. And, we both loved to swim and waterski especially over the 4th! We both went to Berkeley and raised our Children with frequent visits to the lake.

Colleen & Craig Bissell purchased this condo in 2013

Why Colleen & Craig Bissell chose Dollar Point

The time was finally right to buy a place at the lake. We had looked at Donner Lake years ago and Chambers Landing over the past few years. Over Labor Day we decided to take a look at Chinquapin. It was love at first sight! We never looked at another property - this was it!

A picture simply can not capture the magnitude of our beautiful lake views. It takes your breath away.

What makes this condo unique

Gated Resort,

A mile of lake frontage property,

Very Green grounds,

Two boat docks,

Seven championship tennis courts

Cozy Condo

  • 5 of 5

Great unit with amazing views. The eclectic style was fun, cozy and comfortable. We took full advantage of cooking in the generously stocked kitchen and dining by the wood burning fire. The owners were very nice and responded to all of our needs. Looking forward to our next visit!

Fantastic view, tastefully decorated, spacious one bedroom.

  • 5 of 5

The photos cannot really do justice to the view from the unit. The unit is on the second floor and there is a steep incline down to the lake so you feel like you are very close to the lake. Quiet, gated, private, nice grounds. The kitchen is stocked with high-end utensils

(e.g. Henkel knives) Miele toaster ....large comfortable bed, large closet. Blu-ray player, flat screens...

Would definitely visit again. There was 3 feet of snow on the deck so didn't venture out there but in warmer weather a definite plus.

Perfect Holiday

  • 5 of 5

We are back home safely in Japan reflecting on our visit to Lake Tahoe. After spending one hectic week in San Francisco visiting family and friends, we really enjoyed the chance to get away and relax at Lake Tahoe. The opportunity to rent a condo at Chinquapin was the perfect solution. The unit we rented had a fantastic view of the lake from both the deck and the front room. The unit was very clean and had all the necessities one would expect in their own home. We enjoyed the fireplace with a bottle of wine every evening and felt like we comfortable in our own home. We want to thank the owners for providing such a wonderful experience and sharing their home with us. Regards.

Perfect vacation condo

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a few nights in this condo after spending the main part of our vacation at Yosemite. It was a great vacation from the vacation since this unit was so well equipped, comfortable, and in an ideal location. The care and attention to detail by the owners was very apparent.

It was hard leaving the condo during the day since the view out the windows was so amazing. While we didn't cook much on this leg of our vacation, this kitchen takes the prize for the most well equipped. There were misc supplies (sugar, syrup, etc.) available for our use which meant we didn't need to buy that kind of stuff. The TV/Internet services were top notch as well.

It was also our first visit to the Lake Tahoe area. Although it was late in the season for water activities, we had a nice time exploring around the lake and scouting for a future winter trip back in Lake Tahoe.

A Lake Tahoe Gem

  • 5 of 5

This property gives us everything we love most about a Lake Tahoe vacation. The condominium is well-appointed, spacious, comfortable, and extremely well equipped. The balcony provides an unobstructed view of the lake from sunrise to sunset. The Chinquapin property is well maintained with many amenities including tennis, pool, dock, beaches and lovely walks. Outside the gate are fabulous restaurants for both in-door and out-door settings. We have been coming to Lake Tahoe for many, many years. This is by far our most favorite place on the lake.
