The cottage is in a great location, easy to find, and just the prettiest place you'll ever see. Great views of the ocean from upstairs and downstairs. Beautifully decorated and quite comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen and full-size refrigerator. I wish we could have stayed longer! The only drawback is that the wifi is not consistent; fluctuates a lot, and sometimes does not work. Was not a priority for me, so not a problem.
We're very pleased you enjoyed your stay and we're sorry your internet connectivity was inconsistent. During the off season we have upgraded the router and increased the wireless broadband connectivity. Please consider staying with us again.
Perfect in every way.
Very well appointed sea side cottage. Great location. Central to much of Maine’s fishing villages and light houses, colonial forts and state parks. The cottage is equipped with cooking utensils, pots and pans, China, wine glasses etc... My wife quickly found if you turned right out the door you were headed for Anglers and left was to Young’s Lobster Pound so no cooking.
It was amazing and I cried when we had to leave and go back to real life.
We definitely want to come back. The house was cozy and clean and view was spectacular! It was the rest we so needed. Very hard to go back to work today I will tell you that! We totally loved it. I so miss it. Thanks Larry and Gayle!
My experience was quite restorative and what I was seeking. As a single traveler, it would have been nice for the owner's home to have a light or lights on at night. A few evenings I came home after dark, however, I had a porch light at the cottage and used it.
Everything was fine. After meeting the owners, I asked to be shown how to work the DVD, as I could not figure out how to watch a movie. They were helpful with that task.
It would be nice to have a clock radio, only because I like the radio!!
Thank you for a great vacation spot!
We loved the deck and the view of the ocean.
Lovely and relaxing
It's in Searsport not Stockton Springs. Seabreeze Cottage had everything anyone could need! Totally outfitted. Calm decor. Owners. Slide our privacy as cottage is in front of their house closer to beach. Fantastic to have been able to pick raspberries every morning from thei bushes. Couldn't have been better. We love this area of Maine and have no trouble finding things to do, places to eat or just relax on the deck. They let us bring our mini schnauzer with us!
Cottage is located about 100 feet from the beach and a five-minute walk to shopping, restaurants, and the Penobscot Marine Museum. Searsport is a quiet seaport town, settled in the late 18th century. The town is known as 'the home of the famous sea captains' and the 'Antique Capital of Maine'. Nearby Sears Island or Moose Point State Park offer scenic walking trails along the ocean. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Part are only a 75 minute drive north, and Belfast to the south offers an ongoing assortment of cultural activities.
