This unit comes with a large master bedroom (queen bed) (chaise lounge) (TV), large walk in closet (air mattress and extra linens can be found here), a couch which sleeps one (maybe 2), one full bathroom, full kitchen, free parking space, free HIGH SPEED WiFi, cable TV, laundry on site, a pool, and walking distance to everything that Charleston has to offer. Each unit has an Apple TV so you can access your own personal movie collection with your own Apple login if wanted.
Or use ours to rent movies (honor system with a piggy bank by the TV) , watch Netflix, HBO and more!
You’re one block from a 24/7 grocery store, 3 blocks from historic King Street Shopping District, 3 blocks from East bay's wonderful restaurant and bars, 1/2 a block from the Carriage Tour Ride headquarters and 2 blocks from Market Street. The location can’t be beat.
Hotels in this district will run $350 - $600 a night and still can't compare to the space, free dedicated parking, and amenities we can provide.

The location of this property was great. The decorating is cute. I am taking a star away for the stench in the hallway and the gross pool. Overall a good experience though.

Pros: The location of this apartment cannot be beat. You are within steps of some of the best restaurants in Charleston (both Cru and 167 Raw are within steps). Easy access to the waterfront/Battery, King Street, Market Street, etc. Nice to have off-street parking and WiFi. Grocery store (Harris Teeter) is within walking distance and the unit has two ACs.
Cons: Only had one wash cloth and one hand towel for two people for the week. Bath towels shed everywhere (not sure if they were just new or inexpensive?) and left grey fuzz all over us and all over the bathroom. Hand soap in bathroom was clearly empty and had just been filled with water to extend its life. Pool had a closed sign during our entire stay, but okay by us as it wasn't much to look at. Interior hallway of building is old and had terrible smell, especially for the first half of our stay.
All in all it was a great place - good amount space for two people, fully stocked kitchen, Peking, etc. The location really couldn't be beat. If you're like us and looking to walk just about everywhere, definitely worth consideration. Clearly a very safe part of town.
This unit was a wonderful value and the location was amazing--short walking distance to all historic Charleston has to offer and within a block of a grocery store. The place actually seemed larger than it appeared in the pictures.
Here are a few things it lacked for that perfect 5-star rating:
1. Kitchen towels
2. At least 2 K-cups for coffee on the first morning. (We got in late the night before, and it was kind of a drag having to go shopping right away)
3. An extra roll of toilet paper
4. An extra set of linens (I was there with my best friend and had planned to sleep on the sofa, but there wasn't enough bedding.)
5. A full set of towels for each guest. (Only one of us got a hand towel.)
I would recommend the place but advise future guests to pack accordingly.
We have had great success with VRBO rentals in many locations for years. Unfortunately, this rental is not up to VRBO standards. The photos do not represent the bedding, furniture, etc. which are now in this apartment unit. It is in need of a design makeover.
The headboard is gone and the old, lumpy and sinking mattress was the worst we have ever slept on. The mattress and the bedding should have been tossed years ago. I'm unsure if the sheets had been changed for us (wrinkled polyester sheets). Obviously, the bed, bedding, shower curtain and art that the owner posted in the VRBO photographs have been removed from the apartment and their unwanted furniture, books, art, etc. have been brought in.
For the money we paid, we could have stayed in a nice Charleston hotel. The building is in poor condition and the hallway has an odor. This first floor unit is dark and looks north on the parking lot. Air conditioning units are very loud.
The kitchen and bathroom were clean (no bottle of wine as shown). It's location and free parking are convenient. Thankfully, the weather was good and the great restaurant, 167 Raw, 289 East Bay St., was nearby.
My husband and I stayed at the condo on E Bay St for our anniversary. We had a little difficulty getting in the door from the outside the first time but after that no other issues. The condo was clean and perfect for a couple's get away. There were plenty of glasses, dishes, etc if you wanted to stay in but we didn't (we are in Charleston after all). The bed was comfy and the blinds on the windows really block out the sun if you choose to do so.
We loved the convenient location to the market and all the "tourist" attractions of downtown. We were able to leave our car in the parking lot and walk everywhere.
We would definitely consider staying here again.
