*** Allergy Friendly

No smoking inside the home or outside on the property. We require a clean air environment, and we would prefer that smokers do not stay here.

Please no pets.

Please do not burn candles or incense while in our home.

*** Our clean team is the best!

We are very different in this aspect from other VRBO's in town. We insist that we as owners clean and maintain our own property. We do not hire out a cleaning service. This ensures that the home is maintained to a higher level of guest satisfaction. Check out our reviews from past guests. Our housekeeping and landscaping team work hard, and do not cut corners. You will arrive to a home that is sparkling clean, well organized, and ready for you to enjoy. Our clean team is all in the family, and we enjoy working on the property together.

Just a few of the things we provide in our rental that other rentals may not do:

1. A Jesus Christ centered home away from home. "Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations." Psalm 90:1

2. New towels and bed linens every 6 months.

3. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair spray, hand soap, cotton balls, q-tips, hand lotion, Kleenex, body lotion, make-up remover wipes, hairdryers, and toilet paper. (Believe it or not, most rentals don't provide toilet paper. They request you bring your own!)

4. We supply paper towels, dish soap and laundry detergent.

5. A clean team that is within the family. Ask other VRBO's "Who cleans this rental?" You would be shocked at the answer. Most VRBO's are cleaned in 2 hours with little attention provided. When my clean team shows up to our VRBO, it is myself (the owner,) 3 to 4 family members and 2 close friends. We then spend 6 to 8 hours on the inside and outside of the property thoroughly cleaning it - ensuring your stay is fantastic.

6. We really care that you have a wonderful experience. Many other rentals are "short time," offered only for Air Force Academy events or certain weeks a year, and the owner has very little experience in maintaining a quality VRBO. Ask them if they run their VRBO full time, or for just a "few weeks a year."

We have 4 years of expertise in running a VRBO. We are thankful for the 250+ guests we have had the privilege to meet and have stay again with us!

Also, when you stay at our VRBO, it is a true VRBO. In other words, it isn't a family residence that is used as a VRBO once-in-awhile. When you stay at a family residence it will likely have locked rooms unavailable to you, sentimental or "too personal decor," and sharing of closets and dresser space.

Our VRBO is a true VRBO. It is designed with ease of use, maximum guest comfort, and reliable owner support.

7. Staying with us supports our adoption of our daughter from China. Your family vacation gives forward! :)

"I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains? No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains." Psalm 121:1.2

About Chad Bowman

We are natives to Colorado Springs. We have three young children who love being outdoors, and exploring new places. We enjoy hiking, swimming, and traveling. Our vacation rental home is a reflection of our love for family, and our love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We live in town, and can offer lots of suggestions on where to eat, play, and have fun as a family! Your stay benefits the cost of our adoption of our daughter, Esther, from China. We thank all of our guests who have supported us in our journey to adopt!

Chad Bowman purchased this house in 2007

Why Chad Bowman chose Colorado Springs

The Colorful Colorado home was built in the Centennial Heights neighborhood in 1959. With wide streets, mature trees, large green lawns, long driveways, and large rectangular ranch style homes. It has all the charm and simplicity of the era, but is centrally located to all of the fun!

What makes this house unique

See more! Do more! Make the most of your vacation without wasting time driving long distances to all corners of the city. We are the ONLY VRBO near Palmer Park, and central to everything else!

Feel like taking it easy? Stay in and watch a 3D movie relaxing on our comfortable Lazy Boy chairs and sofa. Or take a walk to the trails in Palmer Park, right behind our house! We have many guests tell us how much they enjoy the natural wildlife our VRBO has! From several deer, birds, and squirrels that visit our property daily to seeing the elusive black squirrel right in our VRBO's backyard! Serenity in the heart of the city.

Apart from convenience, a quiet neighborhood, and an open floor plan that provides easy family fun; our home is priced to be family friendly while providing all of the luxuries you would expect at nicer hotels.

Our dine-in kitchen makes it perfect for planning the next day's events over a home cooked meal, and make a perfect setting for retelling the day's excitement!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for having our family stay in your beautiful home. We were all very comfortable and your attention to all the "little details" made us feel so warm and welcome. (The cookies and child size table were a big hit with the little ones,) and us big kids too :) as they were gone by morning!! Jacob, our 4 year old, wanted us to make more! Anyway, we really appreciated having a wonderful place to give us, our children, and our parents, a room of their own for a few days after being cooped up in a hotel room. We had a busy couple of days exploring the area and really wish we'd allowed more time to see it all, and relax in your home. We will look forward to the next time our co-op has a convention in Colorado and hope we are able to stay here again in the future.

Thank you again for all the extra special things you do and provide for families. Even though we didn't get a chance to use most of it, it was so nice knowing all those things were available for us if we needed them.

Thank you, and God bless.

Fabulous stay! Clean, spacious, great lay out.

  • 5 of 5

This VRBO is so great. We so enjoyed our stay. Nice neighborhood with a hiking/running path nearby. It has a great lay out with a spacious kitchen/dining area. We stayed for our daughter's USAFA graduation and it suited our needs perfectly. The fresh flowers and homemade cookies were a special touch!

Great place to stay if you have a family

  • 5 of 5

This house was great and had everything the owners advertised. My daughter loved the toy room and the nice, neat backyard. All you need to add is your own groceries from one of the local grocery stores and they had all the pots/pans/dishes you could ask for. It was really home away from home for us. Everything was neat and clean and cozy, even the Netflix was great and I binge watched a couple of shows while we were there. Very convenient location to a park, zoo and different hiking areas. Really can't say anything negative about this property, loved that it was smoke free and pet free since my daughter has terrible allergies and she did fine while we were there. Would definitely recommended this property and would absolutely come back to this house when we're back in the area. Thanks to the owners for having such a great rental!

Wonderful place to stay in Colorado Springs!

  • 5 of 5

This 3 bedroom, 3 bath house is on a quiet residential street with easy access to a main street that will take you anyplace in the city. Upon our arrival, the cookie jar was stocked with delicious chocolate chip cookies, yum! The house had everything the 5 adults could need for the week we spent there. Coming from the east coast, we didn't have to pack or run out and buy shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, laundry detergent, dish soap, or dish washer soap. Breakfast was a snap with a dispenser with 2 kinds of cereal and a supply of coffee and tea. 2 of the bedrooms had attached bathrooms. The third bathroom was out in the hall. Since we were there over a weekend in the fall, the fact that they had a few local channels and Netflix, not cable, cause a slight problem with anticipated football game watching. That was solved with use of a laptop and they have great internet connectivity. They did have quite a few dvds for children and adults. The beds were super comfortable and the bath towels were luxurious. Much nice than I have at home or have found in a hotel. If you are bringing children there are toys and games for them. Chad and Jill provided a great book of information about Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas including personal suggestions for where to go. We found the Garden of the Gods to be our favorite place to visit and it is FREE. Every time we were near it coming from someplace else we made another drive through it and saw different things each time.

Thank you Chad and Jill for sharing your house and providing a fabulous base for Mom's 90th birthday experience!

Super clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This home is a special find. First of all, this was the cleanest rental home I've ever stayed in. That made us feel so comfortable from the moment we arrived. Floors, counters, cabinets, drawers, everything was spotless.

The owners truly seem to care about their guests feeling at home, and we found nice touches where they went well above and beyond to do that.

The house comes well-equipped, so you can arrive and just start enjoying yourself on your trip. Guests are welcome to use anything in the house - sugar, cooking spray, coffee filters - all the things you need are available. The linens and towels were exactly as described - new, plush, clean and comfortable. The beds are comfortable, the house is quiet, and we appreciated the central air conditioning.

We had to depart early in the AM on our last day, so it was helpful that the guest "checkout list" of chores is nice and short. They just ask reasonable things like running the dishwasher and getting the towels started in the laundry, things any considerate guest would do anyway.

I would definitely recommend this home if you are going to be staying in the area.
