Comfortable home base while catching the sites of San Diego

  • 4 of 5

Leigh was great to work with. Easy to contact. Location is close to many attractions. Had all the basics (laundry was very important) and in a quiet neighbourhood. Clean house. Really didn't spend much time there as we were gone site seeing from morning til night. Easily accommodated four adults and two children. Thanks Leigh! 4.5/5 as the property could use a couple upgrades.

Great

  • 4 of 5

We rented both units and it was pretty awesome. It has an older flare to it. There was plenty of places to sleep the seven people we had. It is nice and close to stores and anything you want to go to. We would rent again from the owner. She was easy to deal with and accommodating.

Great Time in San Diego

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a great time in Leigh's home. There were 7 of us total, including one married child and his spouse. The downstairs separate apartment worked out perfectly for them to have their own space.

The home was very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for the meals we cooked. While most of the places we've stayed via VRBO are relatively newer constructions, Leigh's home is a somewhat older construction. But it was clean, well furnished and well cared for. No complaints from anyone.

There is no central air, but there is a wall mount A/C unit. We found that it kept us plenty cool during the day when we were in the home in the main living areas, and we could simply open a couple of windows for cool air in the bedrooms at night.

We appreciated being able to borrow a couple of boogie boards when we went to the beach. This place was relatively close to about everything we wanted to see - the Zoo, the USS Midway, Coronado Beach, etc. Couldn't have been better situated.

And Leigh was super easy to work with. Most places we've stayed had some checkout procedure that included starting to wash dishes or towels and sheet, sweeping, taking out trash, etc. When I tried to find a list and then texted Leigh to ask her about it - her reply was that housekeeping would take care of all of that.

Because no one was coming to stay on the day we were checking out, she also let us check out late.

Overall is was a wonderful trip for the family - we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Can't recommend Leigh or her home highly enough.

Very convenient location

  • 5 of 5

We found it easy to get to the airport, beaches, Balboa Park, and zoo . Also, having 2 separate living spaces for our 2 families was great. The Pola Market is close by for snacks, ice, etc. The back patio was great for quiet morning coffee and evening meals. There's no yard for kids to play, but we enjoyed going out for family walks each day. Also appreciated having a church 1 1/2 blocks away and an awesome and vibrant Sunday morning service.

Plenty of room in a great location

  • 5 of 5

This home has all the comforts of home and is really well run. The kitchens are well stocked, the linens were fresh, and the home's condition was great. The location is great for accessing downtown SD, La Jolla, Mission Bay, La Mesa, etc. I would definitely stay here again.
