Our family has been going to Dennisport for 3 generations. We plan on retiring in this house down the road. We are a casual family that appreciates summers at the Cape and family values. Although I consider Dennisport my home, we live year round North of Boston. Summer 2016 we are reshingling the siding of the house this as we speak and adding a deck off the kitchen. Will be complete prior to any renters coming in. New pictures to come.
Lynn purchased this House in 2013
Why Lynn chose Dennis Port
We purchased this home because of the location to the beach, town and because it's in Dennisport. I feel at home here because that's where my parents brought us every summer. Dennisport offers beaches on the ocean side and beaches on the Bay side of the Cape. This house is an old Captains house and was built in the late 1700's. Registered as the oldest home in Dennis Port It has all the charm of a typical Cape Cod home, the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated. Very solid quiet home. Because its the Cape and an old home we cannot prevent possible dampness or a fly, mouse etc from possibly getting in the house. We treat the house with preventive measures, but cannot guarantee no bug will enter the house, especially through the great/garage room. Its still a garage! Please no parking on the grass we have an irrigation system.
What makes this House unique
The farmer's front porch is the place to relax, read a book, play a game or enjoy a beverage. Many homes at the Cape have very little land to them, this property offers a lot of quiet and privacy. We also loved how many people it will sleep, perfect for multiple families. 3/4 of an acre and plenty of space to get alone time. Very quiet rooms. Common comments by renters are"the house is much bigger than we expected". If you like new and crisp modern homes this house is not for you. Its targeted to large family groups at a reasonable price. Its not perfect, but we live there and do work on it every year to be sure its safe, clean and affordable!

Cape cod weekend
I can't say enough great things about Lanette and her kindness! She is definitely one of the best owner I've rented from. We had a large group for a 80th Birthday celebration and it was perfect, the home Is large the rooms are big and spacious and the yard is also beautiful!! the house literally has everything!! Not a bad walk to the beach I'd say less then a mile. And the best ice cream place just a few minutes walk down the road. There's a great fire pit in the yard that we enjoyed at night. I'll definitely be going back!!!!!
Great location and amenities
We had a wonderful stay at Sea St. Like the description said the place was less than a mile from the beach and we strolled to the beach during the day and night. The home was well equipped and had toys, games and books for kids and adults. A wonderful vacation!
The house had plenty of spaces for 18 people to congregate or spend time alone.
The house held endless kitchen gadgets or entertainment option (beach chairs, puzzles, cards, dvd's, etc.). The location is central to lots of beaches, eateries, farmstands and ice cream parlors, (walking, biking, or driving).
Perfect for a big extended family reunion!
Ample beds: we had 15 in our party and there were 8 unused beds. All of the beds were singles/twins: any double/queen/king beds were just two singles/twins pushed together, but it worked. Nobody complained about their mattress. Every bedroom was air conditioned.
Porch and two grills (charcoal and gas) were great for big extended family meals (we moved the kitchen table outside each evening). Big front and back yards were perfect for kids (and adults) to play in.
Central Cape Cod location was great for making trips to Nauset, Provincetown, Yarmouth, etc. very convenient - nothing was more than an hour away and nearly everything was less than 25 minutes away.
VERY short walk to some of the BEST ever ice cream at Sundae School. Beach at the end of the road was small but clean and easy to walk to. Pretty close to the Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking which is long, beautiful, flat and peaceful.
The outdoor shower was heaven! The two indoor showers were quite adequate. On-demand hot water meant everyone could shower when we got back from the beach.
Two large refrigerators were very functional. Tremendous stock of kitchen utensils, dishware, pots and pans.
While the space lacks a little in aesthetics (e.g. the "garage" living room floor is painted concrete, some of the bathroom vanities are a bit aged), it more than makes up for in fantastic functionality as a home base for a great Cape Cod vacation.
Very enthusiastic, friendly owners with clear instructions.
Perfect for a Family Reunion
We had a great time celebrating my 75th with a family reunion. Plenty of room for all ages. Large yard and deck enjoyed by all and the garage/family room enjoyed both day and night.
The Cottage was enjoyed for quiet sleeping by Gigi and 2 of her greats.
I would recommend the house to any of my friends needing this much space.
Great property for a large crowd and convenient location.
We had great weather, so was able to enjoy the Cape experience fully. Loved the location and the walks to Sundae School and nearby beach. Lanette was very helpful and available for questions. Overall, a nice family vacation.
Walk to downtown Dennisport, Sundae School, restaurants, bars, cafe's. Enjoy the many beaches of Dennisport from this centrally located home.
