About Corinne King
Hello from Mike & Corinne King. Originally from the Island we now live in Alberta. We designed and built this home as our C Side Retreat. Its a home we use to get away, relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us. Just stepping inside this home gives us a sense of peace and relaxation. Together we love the walks on the beach and still enjoy all the fun things the Island and the people have to offer with every visit.

PEI Villa Costa Lota
Beautiful, well-appointed house. Lovely, peaceful spot. We enjoyed every moment of our stay on PEI and this property was integral to our experience. We loved walking along the beach, catching glimpses of little foxes, watching the seals frolic just off shore and the herons feed in the evening. And the night sky was magical. We could even see the Milky Way. I would absolutely recommend this place.
Totally Amazing Stay
We had the most wonderful stay. The house was more than we imagined, the views, the décor, everything was perfect. The house has everything you would need and more and spotlessly clean. The beach was steps away where we spent most days walking in the sunshine or relaxing listening to the waves and the birds. Would recommend this property 100%.
A perfect getaway for relaxation, peace and quiet or great for a family holiday.
One of the most beautiful places on earth.
Prince Edward Island is one the most beautiful places on earth. Unspoiled, very clean, very friendly and it’s your going back 30 years. The house that we stayed at was perfect, everything as it was described, absolutely tastefully decorated, very clean, gorgeous view, spacious and everything you would ever want in a vacation home. The owners were great, they made sure your stay was perfect. Highly recommend this rental property and Prince Edward Island.
We had a wonderful stay at the Villa, and we hope to return next summer.
The location is stunning with views across the water. The house and property is beautifully maintained. The house is new, and everything is topnotch: the furniture, the TV, the beds, the bathrooms. We only had a couple questions when we arrived and they were answered immediately by the owners.
We highly recommend the Villa.
Perfect in every way!
This lovely home has been the perfect spot for us to use as our home base while exploring the island. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful, that there is no need to be on the go constantly. And the home is so comfortable and tastefully decorated and furnished, that staying"home" and reading on the back porch, directly on the water, is a treat. Even from inside, you have lovely expansive water views no matter where you are.
Our family of four adults enjoyed the location too. It's easy to get to the ferry for a daytrip to Pictou, and it is a simple drive to Charlottetown or any of the coastal drives. If you don't feel like driving for dinner or eating in, a walk to the Chowder House up the road is a lovely option. You'll want to head there anyhow, since the oldest lighthouse on the island sits within view of the restaurant. While the tide is out you can walk along the beach to the lighthouse.
Some of the restaurants we enjoyed during our stay were the Brehauts, Cape Light, Landmark Cafe, Clam Diggers and of course, the nearby Chowder House. If you go for a ferry ride to Nova Scotia, the Pictou Lodge is a pretty waterfront restaurant just minutes from the ferry terminal.
One of my favourite excursions was to the Belfast Mini Mills. It's a family run enterprise where their main business is manufacturing economical milling machines for use in over 35 countries. But they also offer a free hands on demonstration of the milling process from A to Z where you can see the wool of various animals processed and spun into yarn and woven into beautiful textiles and products, some of which are for sale.
My reaction when seeing this home, was that the pictures hadn't done it justice. It exceeded my expectations. Corinne is a lovely helpful owner, readily available.
Two Weeks of Bliss!! Beaches! Bike Trails! Farms Everywhere!! Simply Gorgeous!
Thank you Mike and Corinne for sharing your beautiful home!
It's a one-of-a-kind beauty set right on the rich-red earth beach of PEI. The house is very well appointed open concept with lovely furniture, great appliances, beautiful bathrooms, and the best master bedroom/ensuite you can imagine. If you plan on cooking meals you will find everything you need. The house was sparkling when we arrived and easy to keep clean our entire stay.
Point Prim is one of the most coveted places on the island. This home is situated so you are looking at Nova Scotia off in the distance. Cruise ships go by every other day on their way to & from Charlottetown. A walk down the beach at low tide or along the road brings you to the oldest lighthouse on PEI. Be sure to sign up to be "Keepers of the Lighthouse".
Daily we saw harp seals, cormorants, seagulls and due to the large presence of agriculture on PEI - CROWS!! Once we say a bald eagle fly by. Twice we were visited by a fox. The beach at low tide revealed periwinkles, crabs, mussels, clam shells, & a variety of tiny sea life. You can even dig for clams.
The property manager, Val, is a life-long islander and an invaluable resource for island life. If you need him, he's there - just a phone call or text away. We could visit with him for hours. A true gentleman!
If you are a cyclist, PEI touts The Confederation Trail, a well-maintained converted rail-trail from one end of PEI to the other. And there are Provincial Parks along the north shore with lovely trails where you can see the ocean. Check out Greenwich BEACH!!
Our favorite place to buy vegetables was Balderston's Farm Stand. Just west of Ch'town. Although The Chuckwagon Farm Market in Belfast is quite good as well. Cooper's General Store has other essentials. Larger grocery shops can be found near Ch'town such as Sobey's.
We ate dinner out 4 times, the Landmark Cafe in Victoria-by-the-Sea was our favorite. Like bakeries? Check out the Maroon Pig in Georgetown. The Clamdiggers in Georgetown is also quite good. Everyone raved about the Point Prim Chowder House, but we found it a bit disappointing. Possibly because of high-expectations due to reviews, and possibly because we were there at the end of their season.
We could go on about the fantastic experience we had here, but we are out of room. We loved PEI so much we plan to retire there. Get out and explore the island & all it offers you. It's a simply a gorgeous, delightful place on earth.
This beautiful home is located just 1 mile from the Islands oldest lighthouse built in 1845. Walk the beach around the point and stop to enjoy a glass of wine on the deck of Point Prim Chowder House & Oyster Bar. While watching the seals frolic in the Strait, experience the most amazing sunsets while dining a romantic supper.
Just 10 minutes away is Belfast Highland Greens Golf
PEI's most scenic seaside course. Located overlooking the sea from the highest cliff its just waiting to be played.
Visit the famous Mini Mills where you can watch the workers create exotic fibers such as Alpaca, Llama, Mohair, Qiviut and Cashmere. This company is recognized worldwide for the advanced technology and design incorporated in their specialized machinery.
Take the Northumberland Ferry just 15 minutes away and head to Nova Scotia for the day.
A 30 Minute drive will take to you the Rossignol Winery where you can enjoy tours and sample wines of the Island. During your drive you will experience the ambience of the countryside and can stop at all the local art and antique shops.
Deep sea fishing, snorkeling, trapping lobster, digging clams or shucking oysters all at your fingertips with Tranquility Cove Adventures.
All this and more, but the perfect spot to be is sitting on the private deck overlooking the ocean, listening to soft music or enjoying your rock and roll while the cruise ships pass by, the eagles and the pelicans soar over and the sun is shining down. Read a book or have a siesta! Dine on fresh lobster, clams and oysters. Now consider yourself GONE COSTAL!
