We were there for NYEve and had a lovely time. We had a great time as well on this trip. Look forward to the next time. Thankyou.
This apartment is spacious and wonderful, and the owner responds quickly to every request and need. Unlike many airbnb apartments in which the drawers and closets are stuffed with clothes and you feel like you are "staying" with someone, this apartment is a separate rental in a brownstone and it was all mine. It has a fully equipped kitchen, living room with TV, working internet, and quiet bedroom in the back that leads out to a nice garden space with table and chairs. My friend stayed with me for two nights, and she slept on the blow-up queen bed, which is amazing! It inflates automatically to a bed with a frame that is off the floor, and it is quite comfortable. The apartment was located only 1/2 mile from my daughter's apartment, so it was convenient for my needs. It also has every convenience nearby, including supermarket and laundromat. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and I recommend it highly.
Quincy was the cutest, coziest Homeaway Experience we have had. Decided at the last minute to go to NY for NYE and luckily Quincy was available! We had such a great time and really felt at home. The space was very clean and well maintained! Cannot wait to visit again and hopefully Quincy will be available! We never saw the owner but the communication was very good! It was quiet and private which we loved! We would recommend Quincy to my friends and relatives while visiting NY! Thank you again for a wonderful experience!
This is the cutest, coziest space I have stayed in thus far and I have been to several Homeaway locations in NY and this is my favorite. I did not get a chance to meet the owner but we had open communication prior to our visit. It was very quiet and romantic. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back again! Quincy gets 5 stars!!!
Very nice and comfy place. Plan on long walk to subway or cab, but hey I could use the exercise .I will plan on using this place again when I'm back in Brooklyn
The Quincy apartment was very spacious and quiet. We spoke with the owner just very briefly our first morning there, it appears that she lives in an apartment above. It is furnished in predominantly Eastlake period antiques which were lovely but not very comfortable. Bed was acceptable. With the exception of the bathroom and bedside lighting, the apartment was dimly lit. Must walk about 10 blocks to closest subway. People in the neighborhood were very friendly, we felt quite safe even returning several times late at night. A network directory for T.V. would have been helpful. Kitchen was nicely supplied with the exception of a cutting board. We had no opportunity to use the patio which looked quite inviting.
If you are looking for a peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle of NYC this is the place for you! The property is located on a tree lined street of Brownstones. Manhattan can be reached by train (the train is a 10 minute walk from the house) in a little as 15 minutes. Although there is more than enough in Brooklyn NY keep you busy. Prospect park, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Brooklyn Museum. Your surrounded by the historic neighborhoods of Clinton Hill, Fort Green, Williamsburgh, Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights.
