If skiing or snowboarding is your activity of choice then you can hop on the free shuttle and take 10 minute ride up to the ski mountain to enjoy some of the world famous “champagne powder” skiing. After a long day on the slopes, you can soak your tired muscles in the hot springs located just blocks away at the Steamboat Springs Recreation Center (which also houses a full gym). Sipping a warm cocoa or cool glass of wine you can witness Olympic skiers practicing jumps right across the street on Howelsen Hill. Howelson Hill offers nighttime illuminated skiing as well as tubing down the mountain. Snowmobiling, sleigh rides and ATV excursions are available locally as well.
Visiting Steamboat in the warmer months?? Our unit is located across the street from the Yampa River where inner tubes are available to rent to float down the river. For those land lovers, rent a bike around the corner and bike along the river or around town. During the summer months take a short 5 minute walk and watch the rodeo, try the Alpine Slide or visit the year round indoor ice across the river. For all those who enjoy a day out nice day golfing, Steaming Springs is known to have some of the best courses in Colorado. The Yampa River is world renowned as the fly fishing capital of Colorado as well. This unit is great because you can enjoy everything Steamboat has to offer whatever the season and never have to drive a vehicle during your vacation. Of course there is parking available at the unit if you choose to have your own car.
Our unit includes a full chef’s kitchen with breakfast bar and dining room table suitable for 6 people. Cozy up in front of the fireplace and watch a movie on our 42 inch HD TV after a busy day around town. The 'cowboy bedroom' has a queen size bed and the 'wildlife bedroom' has a king size bed. Both bedrooms are decorated in true western style and if you have an extra wrangler or 2, a queen size sofa bed is available in the living room for your comfort. The master bathroom is connected inside the 'wildlife bedroom' as well as a bathroom with a bathtub in the hallway outside of the 'cowboy room'. Both bedrooms have 42' flat screen tvs's as well. Ceiling fans in each room will keep you cool during the warmer months. A washer and dryer is located in the unit for your convenience.
This condo is great for those who want to escape the busy city life for a mountain getaway, but still have all of the creature comforts of their own home with tons of things to do just a few steps away. Come visit today!
The property is in the absolute BEST location. The agent, Doug, is not the owner of the specific apartment we were told we were leasing. Not sure how he can double book without listing the properties but I'd think VRBO would want to be aware.
We arrived to the unit with someone in our designated parking spot. Instructions said to call a tow, but I wasn't sure if maybe it was the cleaners. I used the door code to open the unit on a family of 3 that had arrived the day before. It gave us both quite the start!!! I was able to speak with Doug who had the property owner of our unit call us and give us the info.
My family was in tears that we would not be able to stay the weekend after driving 4 hrs to get there.
Such poor communication has such significant implications nowadays as we expect with the use of apps, websites and good previous experiences that the information is accurate.
Great location and a nice getaway, but renter BEWARE!
We were given the incorrect pass code for the door to check-in, which caused us to be just a little late checking in. However, this is a great condo and we would definitely stay here again. First and Foremost, the location is awesome! Steps from the river and great dining. We went to Vaqueros on Lincoln and Carl's right next to the condo and both were very good. The condo is large and comfortable. The air conditioning is a great addition. The beds were very comfortable and the shower in the master is awesome.
Excellent location, close to all areas of town. Good recommendations for restaurants and activities. The apartment was well appointed. Only issue is the noise at night when we are trying to sleep. Loud voices, yelling, vehicles. Bob Kramer and Jean Labovitch

We had a great time at this VRBO location and would return to the same spot if we decide to take another Steamboat Springs vacation! Easy access to anything you might want to do in the downtown area of Steamboat and plenty of places to eat, drink, or just hang out. We had an easy drive to the Balloon Festival location, were right across the street from one of our all-time favorite Italian Restaurants (Cugino's), and had a great time walking around town and checking out all that Steamboat has to offer.

Make sure when you leave the apartment you hold the door tight Press another button..then check to see if the door is truly locked by trying to open the door.**** Remember we are downtown…with many transient people around. Always lock the door when you leave the apartment.

8. In regards to bathroom towels:
In the master bathroom the top three shelves have tan and
Green towels. These are to remain in the unit at all times.
The bottom shelf has towels for the river or the hot springs.
9. If you leave the condo or are going to sleep please make sure that all candles have been blown out.
10. Please, do not open the windows where the air conditioning vents are located. These windows have been screwed shut so that the apartment has complete security.
Please use the air conditioning whenever you wish. However, when you check out please turn the units on off.
