This is an upstairs Unit. You enter the front door the stairs are inside and the Unit. There is a secure locking Baby Gate at the top of the stairs for your little ones. It will also swing over to block off the hallway and bedrooms.
We are less than 1 mile (0.93) to the Convention Center, the Blue Line Trolley Station (lite-Rail) is located about a block right down our street or about a 15 min walk.
Free plentiful street parking some right out front and our cross street is all FREE residential parking

A 15 foot custom made couch with 1 integrated full size bed, and 1 XL-twin, both with custom made Cloud mattresses made in San Diego, CA. Our Kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove, oven refrigerator w/ ice maker, frosted glasses, sink with filtered water, hand soap, dishes, plates, salad plates, bowels, glasses (8 oz & 4 oz) plastic glasses for the deck outside. Pots, pans, cooking sheets, salad bowels and serving plates, platters and bowels, toaster, blender, strainers, salad spinner, etc etc, everything needed for a family dinner, or BBQ.
We have an array of spices along with salt, pepper, vinegar and oil, tea's, sugar, creamers, Coffee Flavorings, and hot chocolate. Baggies, tinfoil, plastic wrap etc..

Our location is two blocks south of Interstate 5 and one block north of a San Diego Trolley stop.
We are less than 1 mile (0.93) to the Convention Center, the Blue Line Trolley Station (lite-Rail) is about a block from the rental , Petco Park is 6 blocks less than a mile, 1 Trolley stop.
We have a minimum age requirement of 25 years or older for all adults, except for children and adult children in a Family
Our Neighborhood and street is an urban "City" environment with all the various sights and sounds that it includes; trolley and trains, local traffic, occasional ambulance and fire engines. City sounds.
Petco Park, the Convention Center, the Gaslamp Quarter and the rest of scenic downtown San Diego are minutes away and accessible via Trolley, walking, taxi, or a very short drive.
Cross the street to the Mercado del Barrio, for your grocery needs, also a great place to eat inside (37,000sf grocery store w/ deli, bakery and more). In the Mercado is an Ice cream shop with great food, little Caesars pizza, Asian Wok, Iron Fist brewery, Mariscos El Pulpo and more. Rental bike & scooters available in the Mercado as well. Right next-door is Ryan Brothers Coffee House.

We are located on the eastern edge of the Gaslamp/Downtown San Diego, near the historic Chicano Park, surrounded by the warehouse district, residential, and the Mercado del Barrio shopping center with a 37,000sf grocery store with deli, butcher, bakery, fresh produce etc. and Cocina with pre-made authentic Hispanic food.

We chose this property for it's unique Location and the latest San Diego revitalization area When we purchased this property, we knew that the City would be revitalizing our Urban "City" Neighborhood in the Art District, building a Mercado which is a Center with a HUGH grocery store, eateries, Restaurant, Brewery, Sally's store , Pizza, Ice Cream shop, etc. steps away from our property, and the location was part of San Diego's NEWEST Revitalization project. and continues to add restaurants, a Brewery, shops etc.. Our Trolley Station (lite rail) is a little over a block from the property. Recently added is the "City's" Rent-A-Bike,2 different types across the street... Rent by the hour the day, month... The bike stations are all over downtown... Rent across the street, bike to the Gaslamp / downtown area, park your Bike and return for a Bike after sightseeing.. We are less than a mile (0.93) to the Convention Center, to Petco Park, Gaslamp Quarter, Downtown, close to Seaport Village, Little Italy, Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, and much more.
What makes this House unique
Our property is across the street from the new Mercado Del Barrio (Great Local Cuisine). The Blue Line Trolley Station (lite-rail), is just a little over a block from the rentals. We are in a very unique Urban Neighborhood, with so much going on; Local Artists shows (the Root Factory), Farmers Market, take a walk to the famous Park, and down to the Pier. We are located near the San Diego Bay, close to the San Diego Convention Center, Centre City, East Village, and the Petco Baseball Ballpark. Adjacent to all forms of transportation and the San Diego Bay, its eastern San Diego location is immediately next to a burgeoning downtown area. We are set in an Urban "City" Neighborhood on the Eastern edge of the Gaslamp Quarter.

A fantastic place to stay in San Diego!!!
My mother, my daughters, and I stayed at Athena-Rae's and Bo's apartment for 3 nights from March 23rd-March 26. We had debated whether to try a VRBO for the first time or stay in a hotel. I am INSANELY glad we gave this VRBO location a try! There are so many reasons we loved this place:
#1. Athena-Rae and Bo!!!!! They were helpful, accommodating, flexible and easy to contact throughout the whole process. They clearly take pride in their property and try to think of anything and everything you could possible need or want during a visit to San Diego and provide it! Bo met us a gave us a detailed overview of their rental. Athena-Rae checked in with us a few days later and visiting with her ended up being one of our favorite parts of the trip! We felt like we made a new friend! She is funny and sweet and super proud of her first grandbaby, who is adorable! We just thought they were the greatest!!!
#2. Location, location, location! It took us 10 minutes to get to Coronado beach, 15 minutes to get to SeaWorld, and 8 minutes to the Gaslamp. We were able to park right out in front of the front gate the entire trip. It made loading and unloading the car extremely easy. There was an available convenient parking garage across the street, but we never had to use it. There were many new restaurants directly across the street which looked enticing. We never had a chance to eat at them since we were so busy going other places, but we wanted to! We were able to get milk, juice, etc., from the Mercado right across the street which we walked to.
#3. Their place is stocked! All of the plates and utensils are color coordinated and organized. If you have kids, they had anything you could ever want; a baby gate, Pack & Play, stroller, and beach toys. When we went to Coronado beach, we used their beach bag, chairs, blanket, and umbrella. We had a blast and were so appreciative to have these items during our beach excursion. There was any kind of spice you could want. The apartment was incredibly clean and comfortable. The pictures don't do it justice for how nice it is. My girls especially loved the "disco fireplaces" in the bedrooms.
#4. The beds are comfortable!! We all slept great!!
#5. Our security deposit was refunded the day we left.
I could go on and on. We can't thank Athena-Rae and Bo enough for making our trip one of the best ever by providing us with what was like a "second home." We hope when we come back in the future we can stay here again!!

I was so happy to get to spend some time with all of you, such a wonderful, loving, kind Family, I felt as if I was seeing a Friend I had known forever, now new friends! Your 2 Girls are beautiful as is your Family.
I want to mention the following, because she didn't- We had been communicated via email and when I was in the Hospital Family waiting area, I had sent an email as her stay was upcoming, I had mentioned I was waiting for my new Granddaughter to be welcomed into the world. Her excitement for Bo, myself, my Son who is my only child and my Daughter-N-Law was genuinely apparent in her warm words and her shared excitement. When we met, her and her Family had a gift for baby Charlotte, that alone should help me explain what wonderful people they are, but wait....We shared pictures, mine all of Charlotte and their trip to LegoLand on their way to S.D. Corinne and Family, Bo and I thank you and I will be sending update pic's... You are always welcome and can't wait to see you again. Thank you for letting future Guests know more about our Unit and location, again your detailed review is amazing... Thank you .

We enjoyed our stay. Good location with some great food around.
It’s all in the details! From the moment we entered the condo, we were impressed with just how much thought had gone into making the space so accommodating. From the toddler stepstool in the bathroom, to the binoculars in the living room to watch ships from the rooftop patio, to the beach towels &carry bag in the bedroom, to the umbrella hanging from the stair railing for the occasional shower, it’s obvious the condo bore the stamp of a woman’s touch. Athena-Rae and her hubby Bo thought of practically everything a vacationer could want or need while visiting San Diego. All we really needed to have on hand were the clothes on our backs and some food/drinks for the kitchen—although there was a very nice grocery store just a block away from the condo.
My daughter, her two young daughters and myself visited San Diego in mid-March for Spring Break and really enjoyed our stay in the condo. It was conveniently located near the Gaslamp District and Coronado Bridge. Before arriving, Athena-Rae kept the communication lines open with lots of helpful information to prepare us for our stay. Our only quibble was the occasional tricky parking situation which was to be expected when staying in an urban setting. Driving back to Phoenix after an all-too-short stay in San Diego, we all agreed that we would give the lovely condo and its owners—Athena-Rae and Bo--an enthusiastic 5-star rating!

There were 4 of us in this unit and it was perfect! Much more affordable than a hotel room! The unit is very clean, modern, and up to date. It has all of the amenities that you would need and we cannot say enough about how wonderful Athena Rae is! We are coming back and staying at the same place next year.
Great Location And Wonderful Stay!
Athena-Rae and Bo are wonderful hosts and have left no detail behind! The apartment is wonderful and everything is as pictured. We really appreciated all of the young child amenities. It made traveling with a toddler not such a struggle! The beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed our visit. Because previous guests mentioned the traffic noise, We used a sound machine app on our phones. I normally sleep without machine anyway so it wasn’t any big deal.
This is our upstairs Unit-B. Gaslamp Quarter 1 mile/Downtown Center 1.14 mile Ferry to/from Coronado 0.93 mile, Freeways just down our street Grocery store across the street, Ice cream shop, Pizza, Brewery and eateries are located in the Mercado across the street, Ryan Brothers Coffee House, Art, Music, and Farmers Markets.. ***Nearest Beach is 2.6 to the Tidelands and 3.94 miles across the Bridge to Coronado; the World famous Coronado Beach resort town, home of the Hotel Del Coronado.. We require a 25% down payment to secure and block your dates, and the balance due 30 days prior to your arrival. *If your dates are less than 30 days, the full amount would be due at booking.
