Spacious studio apartment; cable TV; free Wi Fi; full Kitchen, full Bath (includes beach towels) and spacious lawn area for outdoor relaxation. Our property is only a 3 min. walk to the nearest market (The Heron Bay Market Place), public transportation and the nearest restaurant, The Island Cuisine. One of the most famous beaches in the world, the Horseshoe Beach, is only a 20 min. walk away or a 3 min. cab ride.
My name is Juanita. I am the youngest of 5 and am delighted to carry on the torch of the Jones family.
This property was built by my father some 25 years ago and we consider this to be the best spot in Bermuda with easy access to any attraction.
Our property is so strategically placed that many of your amenities are literally within a 3 min walk. Whether you are travelling on a tight budget or not, this alone will allow you to save money, for there will be no need for a Cab.
My wife and I stayed at Juanita's house in Dec2016. We liked the cozy studio with the sitting areas and kitchen. The kitchen meant that we could have relaxed breakfasts as well as evening wine and cheese in the room. We were there to play golf and the location is between Mid-Ocean and Port Royal, with the closest course being the beautiful Turtle Hill par 3 course. It was great to have the supermarket just .25 miles away, so we always had food available in the apartment. All but one restaurant is a taxi ride away for dinner (I wouldn't want to walk back from any others in the dark). Horseshoe Beach was about a 20 minute walk, which also brought you close to the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse and the Fairmont Southampton Hotel. The price was right, the location was good, and the apartment was CLEAN. What more could you want?
This home away from home is a gem to be treasured! The location was extremely central to all parts of the island, and made it convenient to travel to and from each day. The home has all the amenities that you could ask for! There is a grocery store a short walk away, that helped bring our kitchen alive. There is also a great cafe and ice cream shop n the same plaza! The hostess and her family are extremely welcoming and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we acclimated to the island life. I would recommend this home as the best option for an extended stay in Bermuda! I am definitely booking again on any return trip to Bermuda!
Juanita was very sweet, and the house had everything we needed. It was close to all of the south shore beaches, we needed a scooter to get to them, but they were very easily accessible. The house is within walking distance to the grocery store, and there was really nothing that we needed that we didn't have! Thank you for finding is a cricket match for us to watch!!
The Apartment was very nice and quite spacious. We loved the large bathroom with his and hers mirrors, made getting ready very easy. The property was in a great location, centrally located for most of our activities. The only downside or just oddity, was never meeting our host. She was working when we arrived, and never saw her the entire time we were there.
My husband and I stayed in one of Juanita's apartments for a week this summer and loved it. It was a very convenient short walk to the bus stop which was an easy way to get around the island. We rented the efficiency apartment which had plenty of space for us: A comfortable bed, a dresser with lots of drawer space, a kitchen with stove and refrigerator, a love seat, a table for four, and a TV. There was also a large bathroom. Just outside of the apartment was a lovely yard to enjoy. And everything was spotless!!
Be sure to have Juanita pick you up at the airport. The price was $50 and she took us to a grocery store on the way to the apartment so we could pick up things we needed. Warning: prices are high in Bermuda so be prepared. Juanita had warned us and she was right! Glad we packed a few things with us like peanut butter, snack bars, etc.
While I was there, Juanita also showed me her other apartment which was really big. I think it had two bedrooms and would be perfect for a larger family. One thing that we liked was that our apartment was on the main level with no stairs. My husband had recently had back surgery and so it was great for him.
We would definitely return and stay with Juanita!
My husband and I stayed at Riddell's Bay Manor last week and loved it. Juanita and her mom Lydia were the perfect hosts. They showed such genuine concern for our vacation experience. Getting to know them personally was such a blessing. The rental was spotless and exactly as it was pictured on VRBO. The location was perfect for us. The buses were 5 minute away so we were able to get to anywhere on the island we wanted to go yet also were able to walk every night to our favorite spot Horseshoe bay for a swim. We relaxed and read outside in the comfortable wicker chairs on our patio. We shopped at the nearby market, ate at the Island Cuisine and enjoyed our nightly ice cream at Scoops. We loved Bermuda and staying at Riddell Bay Manor was the perfect location for our memorable vacation. We would recommend it to everyone we know. Thank you Juanita and Lydia for making our vacation perfect. Bless both of you. Can't wait to see you again someday and stay at Riddell Bay Manor.

Only a 3 minute walk from our rental property is the Riddell's Bay Golf Course, which opened in 1922 and is the oldest golf course in Bermuda. Also within a 3 minutes walk from the property is the Heron Bay Market Place, Island Cuisine Restaurant and our Public Transportation System that will carry you to the West and to the East sides of the Island. A must see attraction in the West is the Royal Naval Dockyard which offers great history of our Island as well as shopping, restaurants, Bermuda's Rum Cake factory and much more. To get to the Royal Naval Dockyard you must pass over the smallest draw bridge in the world, the Somerset Bridge. Some other attractions are Fort Scaur, the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse and one of the most famous beaches in the world, the Horseshoe Beach where you will find the most beautiful turquoise water and pink sand.
The capital of Bermuda is the City of Hamilton which is centrally located on the Island. In the City you will find the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, St. Theresa's Catholic Cathedral, Libraries, Bermuda's main Port, Shopping and the Business district.
Our simplistic bus system and friendly drivers will help you navigate all over the Island with ease. So continuing to the East would be a breeze where many more attractions await you. A must see is the Historic Town of St. George, Bermuda's first capital, Fort St. Catherines, St. Peter's Church, the Crystal Caves, the Bermuda Aquarium & Zoo and Gibbons Gardens.
Bermuda is so unique. Whether you explore by public transportation, moped or private taxi/mini bus you will be intrigued by its charm, beauty and allure.
