The location right across the street is what draws so many people to our home and why we fell in love with it- you can watch the sunsets directly from the upstairs deck if you choose or walk across the street and sit on the sand.
My father and I have rented both the upstairs and the downstairs unit many times over the years at Christmas and during the summer. We have returned at least 7 times.
Everytime we have had a pleasant experience. The view from the upstairs deck is Priceless. Any problems that have come up have been handled quickly and professionally.
My father an I love the location just across the street from the beach and with in walking distance From all the shops. We plan on returning again in aug of this year and again at Christmas with my husband.
We had a great month in this quaint house. It's so close to the beach we'd walk across the road in our bare feet and right onto the sand, and easily walk to the great shops and restaurants on Bridge St. AMI being so popular, there's always plenty of slow-moving traffic right outside your door, especially late afternoon, although we were there at the busiest possible time, March Break. The few minor repairs that needed doing while we were there were handled quickly and pleasantly. This being an older house, there was some noise from the upstairs neighbors -- best if you can rent the entire house. Overall a very pleasant experience. Also thanks, Martin, for welcoming our black lab, Maggie! Paul J.
We had a great time over the holiday week at this property. We rented both the upstairs and downstairs flat. My family stayed upstairs and my in-laws were downstairs. The beach across the street allowed to either sit out on the beach and watch the glorious sunsets or set up on the deck. All attractions were also within a few blocks walk allowing us to not have to deal with traffic at all.
We have been to AMI for many years and love this part of the island. When we found this place available, it was an easy pick for us with its proximity to Bridge Street and being right across the street from the beach. When we arrived, it did not disappoint. We rented both top and bottom to accommodate three families and had plenty of space for the 10 of us. The upstairs balcony has a gorgeous sunset view of the Gulf that in and of itself makes it a worthy rental. You will not be disappointed.
We loved our time (a month) at this beachy older two-flat cottage. We stayed in the lower apartment which consists of easy to clean floors rather than carpeting. It's location is right across from the beach and water but one must cross a rather busy street to get there. This was not a problem for us, however as cars will stop and many others also cross at this walkway to beach access. Not only is the location close to the Gulf, it is also within walking distance to several shops and restaurants and close driving distance to many attractions. In addition, there is a dog beach a short drive away.
With two bedrooms and baths, we had plenty of room for ourselves, any guests we might have and our two pets. The kitchen was adequate but short some cooking utensils which the kind housekeeper was able to supply from the other apartment above. I'm told kitchen supplies are being updated. We were able to meet the owner and he was kind and accommodating. We found the cost reasonable and very much enjoyed our stay.
Family's first vacation and we were lucky enough to find this cozy and cute home with lots of space. We slept well, my husband had no complaints about his back. The beds were comfy. The beach is at your front door and the town is within walking distance. We will definitely be returning!
We visited Anna Maria Island for the 1st time and stayed at the above Upper Duplex. The duplex was clean, the living area was very spacious, the kitchen was up to date and we also had our own washer/dryer. The bedrooms were large enough and the upper unit also had a nice deck which faced the Gulf. Our view was unobstructive and the sunsets were amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better location! We would revisit this rental in the future.
