With two floors, four bedrooms, and three bathrooms, this home is certain to lull you into relaxation during your next visit to the Oregon Coast.
Seahawk is located only eight blocks north of Rockaway Beach proper, and is located directly across the street from a public beach access. You can catch glimpses of Lake Lytle from a few of your second-story windows - a lake house and a beach house in one amazing location! Take your morning walk down to the water, or stroll to town while enjoying the beautiful, salty evening air. Enjoy the natural beauty and quaint architecture that the Oregon Coast has to offer, with lovely foliage, and cottage charm abound.
Your Rockaway Beach abode has two porches upstairs and downstairs, and is surrounded by hedges, sea grasses, and a few small trees for privacy. There's a garage for you to store your car, your kayak, your surfboard, your bikes, or just to put your luggage away for safe-keeping. Your garage also has a ping-pong table for late night games!
The lower level of Seahawk has the first two bedrooms, which share a full bath. The rooms are done in soft grays and blues, with light decor and colorful full-sized beds that make the room seem and cozy. Each room has sliding glass doors that lead out to the lower-level deck, and soft curtains to close at night against the bright moon, or the afternoon light. One of the rooms has its own TV with cable and a DVD/VCR player in the corner for private movie nights. The second room has ample storage space, including a tall chest of drawers decorated with ocean-themed trinkets.
Come up the stairs and feel yourself breathe a deep sigh when you see the cozy sitting area: two leather sofas, and a leather recliner surround a second flat-screen TV, also with cable and a DVD/VCR player. Enjoy breath-taking views on all sides: three of the four walls are nothing but windows to let in the glorious ocean light; the west-facing windows lead to the second deck, looking out towards the ocean. Imagine snoozing on the couch while the afternoon light streams in, or eating popcorn and watching a rented movie, or just reading the paper with your friends and family.
The dining room and kitchen area flow smoothly into one another with matching medium woods; the table sits six comfortably, with three more places at the breakfast bar. Enjoy endless counter space and more cabinets than you can fill! Your kitchen is fully stocked and ready to go with white, modern appliances and wonderful accent lighting. Whether you cook every day you stay here, or just use the kitchen for snack storage and enjoy Rockaway's restaurants, this kitchen is made for frivolity.
There are two more bedrooms upstairs: the master suite, with its own private bathroom, a queen-size bed, and a small desk, and a second room with a queen-sized, and a bathroom just down the hall. Similar to the downstairs rooms, this room keeps the decor simple, with bright pops of color in the quilts and pillow covers. Enjoy ample sunlight and soft carpet - a great place to come home and sleep the through the night, or take a nap before heading out for more exciting adventures. Another has an additional queen bed, and there's also a full, two twins, and a futon. All together, this home sleeps up to 12 guests.

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
It was clean and close to Rockaway Beach, Oregon
We have never rented a house for a getaway and I was very pleased with all the amenities that were provided. We did not need to bring anything, other than personable hygiene products and personal belongings. The house was very clean and the view was spectacular! We will definitely be looking to rent another home from Vacasa later this year.
Very clean. Not fancy, but comfortable and met our needs as a group of 7 adults and 5 kids aged 2-14. Several of the less-serious maintenance issues mentioned by prior reviewers had not yet been addressed.
House was very comfortable, clean and close to the beach. The 7 of us enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend this house to anyone who loves the beach!
I have stayed here several times with family and with my book club. The house is always clean and the property manager very helpful. Great views and close to the beach. My only complaint is that if there is a problem I have to go through Vacasa then they call the property manager and the property manager calls me. It is a bit like playing Telephone, Telephone. I would like to be able to call the property manager direct.
Great location and the house has potential.
BUT I was embarrassed to have booked this for our family. Most of the light bulbs needed to be replaced upstairs. The house smelled like mold when you walked in. The downstairs shower door was hanging on for dear life. Cleanliness was 50% (hair on downstairs bathroom sink, carpets dirty, heater vents brown from dirt, dishes not fully cleaned, bathroom towel racks had layers of dirt on top). There were ants crawling on the kitchen counter, we were afraid to have any sort of food left out (crackers, apples, baby formula). Needless to say the owner has a lot of TLC to put into this house for the next guest. This was by far the worst place I have rented from HomeAway. We won't be back.... Good luck to the next guests.
