This was our romantic Christmas getaway this year and it was a lovely time. We wandered through the mountain towns and learned a lot of history pertaining to the U.S. Highway 2 and the railroad. We ate German food in Leavenworth and watched trains go by in Skykomish. Today we'll take off through Wenatchee and head home via Snoqualmie Pass. We're sad to be leaving but sure to be back some day soon.
Spent a relaxing getaway at the cottage lounging in the hot tub as fluffy snowflakes gently floated down around us. A perfect location to unplug and unwind with both a gas and wood fireplace. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking any meal and all appliances were clean and working. The cottage was spotless and exceptionally well maintained. Plenty of additional extras were provided by a thoughtful, professional site manager. Caretakers were there right away in the morning to plow the snow in case we needed to leave, which we didn't because we were in heaven. The only thing I needed was slippers for walking to the hot tub to avoid cold feet. We will absolutely be coming back again.
I don't know where to start. The cabin is so comfy and accommodating. The managers put a lot of thought towards the guest having an amazing experience. Everything worked great and was very tidy and clean. My wife and I couldn't be happier with our stay and will definitely be coming back.
We rented just the main cabin. It's perfect for a family and even has games and toys for the little ones. House is clean and beautifully situated right on the Foss river... the only sounds you hear are the water and occasional rumble of the trains. All the little thoughtful "extras" just made our trip that much more special so thank you. We spent one day out on the trails and another sledding at Stevens Pass with lunch in Leavenworth. Thank you so very much... Sarah, Chris and Baby Nathan!
Wonderful little cozy cabin in the woods! Exactly what we needed for a quiet weekend by the river. Lots of thoughtful little touches.
Our small family of adults and grown kids stayed at Lisa's cabin this summer. The cabin is right on the river surrounded by trees. On the other side of the river a train runs by often. It was comfortable and well stocked with games, blankets and kitchen supplies. As with pretty much every place I've ever rented, it's a good idea to bring your own knives if you like to cook. We had only two minor complaints. Apparently, whoever rented the place before we did used the coffee grinder for other purposes, so that first pot of coffee was pretty weird. After a good cleaning all was well. The hot tub was not clean. Not at all. The floating cleaning device was empty (no cartridge), the water was musty and pretty scummy. That was a disappointment but something that could easily be fixed. Other than that, the cabin is a great jumping off location for fantastic hiking. We went on two long hikes during our stay. The trailheads were less than 5 miles away. There are probably scores of trailheads nearby. Our trip was in summer, but skiers would also find this a great place as Stevens Pass is quite nearby. There were also really nice touches of generosity. Despite instructions otherwise, there were plenty of towels. There was also a supply of mini-cereal boxes and granola bars. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
Such an idyllic, beautiful setting and cabin. The river is right out the back door, constant, soothing presence during your stay. The cottage itself is absolutely adorable and in lovely condition. The dinning room looks right out on the river. The deck with the hot tub is actually kind of spectacular. Lisa is so accommodating and responsive. We all felt like our weekend had been really special Langley because of this special home away from home.
