Our home feels like an exclusive resort. When you drive into our estate through the guarded gate, lush bamboo and tropical plants line the homes in our little community.
Our home is in a quiet cul-de-sac, with neighbours on one side only.
All homes are walled in our estate, so once you're inside ours, the walled tropical garden makes you feel like you've just walked into your own private resort getaway. Frangipani, Jasmine flowers, bird of paradise and so many varieties of palms and tropical plants surround the pool and home. Sandstone statues hidden in the vegetation give the garden a real meditative, Asian feel, especially at night when lit up.
A huge 15 x 7 meter pool features in the centre of the garden and edges the home and covered terraces. The pool has a wonderful built-in jacuzzi, and is lit up at night.
Entering the home, you are welcomed by a large, open concept living/dining area with multiple sitting groups to relax, read, watch 100+ international and local channels on TV, watch DVDs or just lounge. A large bar counter separates the kitchen from the living room, so when you're in the kitchen, you can still socialize with those in the living area.
With windows on all sides, all rooms are nice and bright and you get to enjoy the garden view even when indoors.
The kitchen is modern European design with a gas stove, oven, microwave, and large fridge-freezer. With a large fresh market just walking distance from the estate and fresh seafood practically at your doorstep, imagine the meals to create in this kitchen! Or, with so many restaurants nearby, pick-up or delivery of sumptuous dishes are just a phone call away.
A large master bedroom has its own sitting area, TV and DVD player and a comfortable, king-sized bed. The master bedroom has large sliding doors that access two covered terraces immediately off the swimming pool, so it is easy to just jump in anytime! The en-suite bathroom has a separate shower, soaker tub and double sink. There is also a very large walk-in dressing area.
Two additional bedrooms on the opposite side of the living area also have their own en-suite bathrooms with showers, lots of built-in closet space, and king-sized beds in both. These bedrooms also have large sliding doors opening to the terraces and the pool.
All bedrooms have black-out curtains, so you don't have to rise when the sun does :-)
There are a lot of laundry service shops nearby our estate that will wash and fold your items within hours, however the home is also equipped with a front-loading high efficiency washing machine and clothes rack.
Having a car makes it easy to get around, but it is not absolutely necessary, as Pattaya's famous 'song teaws', (converted covered pick-ups with seating for people) are easy to catch anywhere. Jomtien Beach is just 5 minutes' walk from the front of our housing estate, as are restaurants, bars, shops, convenience stores and supermarkets.
Our home does have a private 1 1/2-car garage (with water access if you want to wash your car or bike).
The house is really well set up for spending the day in and around the pool: there are lounge chairs and sofas on the covered terrace, loungers on the sun pad, a bathroom just for the pool area, as well as 2 outdoor showers. Perfect when coming back from the beach.
The saltwater pool gradually slopes from very shallow near the house to a maximum depth of 1.6m deep at the deepest end, with stairs and ladders on both sides.
The garden also features a fish pond, and makes for a lovely area early morning or evening to feed the fish or do some meditation, tai chi or yoga.
Words don't do this home justice, you'll just have to come and try it out for yourself this year! We know you'll love it...
We're just a 45 minute drive to the Bangkok International Airport (Suvarnabhumi), and 25 minutes to U-Tapao International Airport.
We (Brad and Cristel) have been living and working in Thailand for nearly 15 years. We fell in love with Thailand's weather and the kindness of the people when we first came, and decided to stay and create our life here. Now we run 2 businesses here;
a business services company, and the Thai branch of our Canadian fashion jewelry business.
We both love traveling through the region and Brad is an avid documentary/travel photographer for some of his awesome photos.
Cristel Dellepoort purchased this bungalow in 2008
We built this property as our getaway from busy, bustling metropolis that is Bangkok. Living in Bangkok is a lot of fun, but once in a while we miss nature, space and the sea!
So when we built this as our weekend home a few years ago, we made sure to surround ourselves with as much nature and water features as we could. And the result is this garden oasis where you can decompress, relax and enjoy all the home and Jomtien Beach area has to offer.
What we particularly love about our home is the pool and the covered outdoor areas. The pool is perfect to hang in and around all day, no matter what your age. We love just sitting outside on the terrace at night with good friends and a glass of wine, looking at the stars and enjoying the lit up garden and pool.
We also love the fact that every room in the house has immediate access to the pool and garden, and a view of it. So there's no 'bad' room in the house!
Being this close to the beach is just right. We're not right on the beach, with all its bustle and nightlife, but so close to it, you could walk or ride your bicycle there in just a few minutes and then retreat back to your garden oasis when you've had enough for one day.
Finally, the house is perfectly set up for either a family or for a group of couples. With the master bedroom being on the other side of the house from the other two bedrooms, everyone can have full privacy and quiet, if they wish it.
I could go on about the comfortable beds (they are all king sized beds with pillow top mattresses) that you won't want to get out of, the rain head showers, and more, but once you've stayed here you'll know exactly why we love staying at our Jomtien Pool villa! I hope we can welcome you here soon...
We had a wonderful stay at Cristels house. The house met all our expectations. The hous was clean and well equipped.
Cristel was a great host who settled in everything we asked her. I can recomande this house.
At first walk through the gate I was sold! Beautiful pool and greenery in the back yard. Huge patio space for those after noon and lay night BBQ's.
I have no complaints.
Only comments I have would be it might be time for a new BBQ. I had to clean up the burners to get them working and could only get one of the igniters to work. But was not a problem.
The other thing, and the owners high light in advance so no surprises, is that from time to time the city water stops due to lack of city water supply so you need to call in a water truck again not a big deal as they take care of everything.
The property owners and management te were so friendly and were extremely responsive to all our needs.
Would not hesitate recommending this place to anyone and would like to return again ourselves in the future!
Beautiful, comfortable and peaceful house, very well mantained, excellent location walking distance from the beach. It was all we were expecting and more, we really enjoyed our stay here. We were a group of 3 golfing couples, and it was perfect for us; the 3 large, private master bedrooms, covered patios for apres-golf cocktails, pool for the ladies who didn't golf. Centrally located with good golf courses East and West.
Special thanks to Cristel the homeowner, and Jo the property manager, who helped us with some excellent seafood restaurant recommendations!
Stayed here for a few nights. It was exceptional. Wish i could have stayed longer. Better than any hotel and worth every penny. The house is beautiful with a fantastic layout, 3 very large bedrooms and a very large pool. The yard is completely private with no neighbors looking over. Very close to the beach and walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. This would be my dream home. Simple, open and very private. Ill be back.
Jomtien Beach is Pattaya's calmer, more relaxed twin sister just 10 minutes south of Pattaya. A hub for water activities, dining, shopping, spa & massage, fun activities for the kids plus great nightlife, there's something for everyone here.
Within a few minutes' drive there are great golf courses (we recommend Phoenix Golf & Country Club), amazing temples in the hills behind the beaches, rural back country that's great for exploring on motorbike or mountain bike.
The beach is clean and well maintained, with friendly beach attendants bringing you lounge chairs, umbrellas, on-the-spot Thai massage or freshly prepared seafood snacks.
And if all the excitement gets too much, our home is the perfect relaxing, quiet getaway from it all, a peaceful garden retreat with large pool to enjoy nature and find yourself again.
