About Elise, Kellye and Lane Romine

We want to share our family home with you as we do not live here all the time anymore. Our youngest son graduated in 2012 and our jobs have taken us in different parts of the world. We want to allow folks the benefits we enjoy at our lakehouse and it not just sit empty. We love this home and always plan to be able to come back and visit when our careers allow. We have 3 grown children and when we get together, this is our perferred place to go... Fishing is great and hunting is good...

Elise, Kellye and Lane Romine purchased this house in 2007

Why Elise, Kellye and Lane Romine chose Toledo Bend

Easy to access on black top road, nice sized, family and pet friendly, large nice yard, covered boat dock/fishing pier where you can catch crappie/white perch with a minnow and cane pole! Early morning with the mist coming off the water is as good as it gets... You can drink your coffee while watching the bass hit the top of the water and the ducks swim by....

What makes this house unique

Great mid-lake location, easy to access, just walk out your back door and get in your boat and go fish or ride or whatever. Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We are located in the Patroon Creek area, mid-lake and right next to Holly Park Marina. Fishing is great in Patroon and everyone around is nice and helpful.

Print out instructions because our GPS took us elsewhere! haha The home is very nice, peaceful, water in the back with multiple places to rest and get away. Kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. Plenty of sleeping area. Thank you for a great time away!

Great place to get away.

  • 5 of 5

The house was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The location is perfect, not even a quarter mile to the boat ramp at Holly Park Marina. The fishing was slow at the dock, mainly small catfish and turtles, but that's to be expected this time of year. If you bring a boat, head over to the Chicken Coop area. The bite didn't stop there, and we caught a nice variety of fish. We had a plumbing issue, but the owner took care of it right away, driving 5 hours to handle it personally. Very friendly folks. I highly recommend the Romine's lake house.

Very clean and relaxed atmosphere

  • 4 of 5

Our husbands tried their luck fishing, but no bites. We girls had a relaxing visit.

Even though temp was in the nineties, the trees and afternoon showers kept things cool

so you could stay outdoors for hours. We all loved it. Only regret was we had to leave.

Wonderful Week

  • 5 of 5

Even though it rained the first three days we had a wonderful, restful time. The A/C went out but the owners had a new inside and outside unit put in. They are great and communications between us was the best. You could not have ask for better. The house, grounds, and dock are the finest. I have looked at many vacation rentals and this is the best and the price is just unbelievable, because for all they offer with this rental and the property itself, it's well worth more than the price. We caught fish and had a great time but I think what I will be missing the most is each morning sitting on the back porch in the rocking chairs with my wife drinking coffee and soaking in the view and peacefulness.

Thank you Romine's for Payton's Lake House and all your effort you put in to make our vacation one of the best we ever had.

We would entertain staying at this rental again for future getaways. Really spacious property and home. Love the docks on the water.

Great getaway

  • 4 of 5

All the girls in our family met up at this wonderful house and had a wonderful 5 days together. The house was perfect, loved the large kitchen and dining room for eating together and playing lots of games. We cooked hot dog and smores at the fire circle for all the kids one evening and it was a big hit. All loved fishing off the pier, did not get many fish, but it was fun for all. The paddle boat was a lot of fun and the backyard was really nice and peaceful. Had a great 5 days and will be back. The only complaint from anyone is it was a long way to anything.
