Only a short 100 paces to Twin Rocks beach access. Seven miles of sandy beach. At our end there are massive logs for building forts and personal beach cubbies. You can spend all weekend creating a family fort among the logs at this beach.

This property offers wonderful shared access to the Spring Lake Park amenities, a large covered Gazebo with an outdoor fireplace and BBQ, expansive grassy point for playing family games or kite flying, 2 long docks for fishing - launching water craft or watching wildlife.

There are several beach homes available as vacation rentals at Spring Lake Park if your planning for a large family gathering. We contract with Beach-Break Vacation rentals to manage and monitor our property. They are a local company that are very helpful and responsive to both our guests needs and ourselves as owners. If you are looking for more than one home they can help you with that too.

This property is fairly easy access for disabled. Although there are a few steps up from street level, there is 1 bedroom (with a queen bed) downstairs and 1 upstairs (as well as the loft). The downstairs bathroom also has grab bars installed in the shower and next to the commode for elderly or disabled persons convenience and safety.

About Darlynn Griffin

We live in Portland, OR and have enjoyed traveling to the coast on weekends for many years. We are artists and natural outdoor lovers. As our family grew we wanted to offer an home-away-from-home for our children to treasure.

Darlynn Griffin purchased this townhome in 2006

Why Darlynn Griffin chose Coastal Oregon

It was a dream for our family to have a personal getaway on the Oregon Coast. Rockaway Beach is only 2 hrs from Portland and is an easy weekend trip. We love the nostalgic, down home feel of the town. Antiques stores, the arcade, the secret old growth forest of Rockaway Beach. There are lots of adventures for all age levels to enjoy. We feel so lucky to be able to bask in the magnificent scenery and discover the special places along the coast. We are so very happy to share this experience with our guests. Be sure to leave a note in our registry and here on the blog. Enjoy!

What makes this townhome unique

I love waking early and slipping into the hot tub before anyone else stirs. You can watch the water fowl and seagulls as you are soaking from the porch. We will spend hrs building forts on the beach with the drift wood and logs that are so plentiful on this end of the Rockaway Beach. Wonderful fresh fish is offered on the fish market on the docks of Garibaldi. We adore an oyster - salmon or crab feast.

Charming Fall Retreat and Lovely Mornings!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here in the fall on a last minute weekend trip and it was the perfect escape from the city. The cabin was spacious and well furnished. We used the wi-fi to play our music throughout the house. Early mornings in the hot-tub overlooking the misty lake is one the great pleasures of this cabin. We also enjoyed exploring the lake with the kayaks. In the evenings, you can catch a beautiful sunset on the beach. We brought several picnics to the beach during our short stay. We loved this trip!

A fantastic place to be

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I visited Spring Lake Beach Retreat last fall, and we absolutely LOVED it. The property is in a terrific location -- across from Twin Rocks and some of the most beautiful Oregon coastline imaginable. We spent 10 days exploring the area and just chilling around the house, and it was one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had. The amenities are spot-on, and we loved the fact that rental includes bicycles, kayaks, canoes, and a very romantic view of Spring Lake from our back patio. The other thing we liked about this place is the town itself. Rockaway Beach is a quiet, intimate town, but it's also one with a big heart. Every time we went out to eat in Rockaway, or to the grocery store, or to walk on the beach, we ran into amazing locals who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I feel like we made friends for life there. We will absolutely return to this property. In fact, we're hoping to book again for late August 2013 or some time in September. This place rocks.

Gratefully relaxed . . .

  • 5 of 5

Can't say enough about this cozy spot. We've stayed there three times and will definitely return. The house is cozy with nice amenities; the spa and the lake are great. On top of that, Rockaway Beach has a more relaxed feel than other parts of the coast. A short walk from the house puts us on some of the best beach and links land I've encountered in an Oregon coast rental. -fred

Best Girls Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

I came here with a bunch of women for a girls' weekend and had the best time. Easy walk to the beach to watch the sunset; great outfitted kitchen to cook the wonderful seafood we found in town; and perfect sleeping accomodations to comfortably fit our group. (access to the hot tub was a nice bonus!) We loved the NW style and great artwork on the walls... Felt much more personable than most rentals. Manzanita was an easy excursion from here as well.

Owner's Response: Dear Girls Weekend Guest, Thank you for visiting our little slice of paradise. We love to visit the fish markets and see what has just come in on the docs of Garibaldi. You can not beat the fresh seafood offerings on this coast.

Great beach hang out!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect weather for beach combing, found a driftwood fort worthy of pictures, took the puppy on the beach and she loved it! The townhouse is very well tricked out, with nice master down and other beds up, excellent linens, fully appointed kitchen. Loved the lake view off the patio area with hot tub also! This could be home to me, and that just says it all. Great place, thanks for such a find!

Owner's Response: Dear Spring Lake Guest, Thanks for leaving your note about your stay. We often will spend all day playing cast-a-way games among the beached timber forts on the beach. Glad you were able to enjoy it as well.
