Relaxing, great views, stocked with everything we might need. No fuss check-in check-out.
We arrived very late in the evening and no problem entering space and using the hot tub after an 8 hour drive in. Everything was clean and spacious. Great hostess!
Spent a lot of time just perusing the critters. especially the chickens and goats who were so polite as to keep quiet til we got up! Even the roosters!Beautiful place with plenty of room and a good kitchen
Great place to relax!
The guest room was as described, very comfortable and cozy. The animals were fun to watch and the sunrise and sunset were very nice. The owners are very friendly yet they do respect privacy.
We would stay there again if ever in the area.
We loved our stay. The guest house is beautiful.
West Texas Best
Property managers attentive without being intrusive. Very clean. Well-stocked kitchen. Nicely situated between Alpine and Fort Davis.
Located on the Fort Davis Hwy., we are just minutes away from downtown Alpine, Sul Ross University, restaurants, and shopping, including boutique art galleries and gift shops. Alpine is the gateway to Big Bend National Park, along with historic mining towns such as Terlingua(famous for its annual Chili Cookoff) and the bordertown of Lajitas with its championship golf course. To the west of Alpine is Marfa, filled with many historic buildings and a growing art community. In between Alpine and Marfa is the famous Marfa Lights visitors' center. North on the Fort Davis Hwy., along the Texas Mountain Trail, is the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute, which features native plants of the Chihuahuan Desert located in a gorgeous canyon setting. Further down the road is the historic town of Fort Davis, just 20 minutes from us. While there, you can explore the actual Fort Davis, which is a National Historic Site. Fort Davis is filled with charming shops and restaurants that add to its Western flair. A little further up the road is the McDonald Observatory, where you can attend their famous Star Parties, or just take a tour. The Fort Davis Highway is used by both bicyclists and motorcyclists as a year-round scenic ride. There are so many activities to enjoy in this area, and we are located right in the heart of it all.
