Uptown/Carrollton Apartment Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 6 In Wonderful, Convenient Location

Lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment in quiet, residential Uptown neighborhood convenient to everything.

Newly renovated with hardwood floors, eleven foot ceilings, ceiling fans, central air and heat, wireless internet, 37' LCD HD flat screen TV, washer, dryer, gas stove, microwave, balcony overlooking charming New Orleans street. Parking available on street.

The apartment is on the second floor of a Victorian house. You enter into the living room which is open to the dining area and the kitchen. In the front of the house is one bedroom which opens onto the balcony. In the back is the second bedroom. There is complete privacy because unlike so many New Orleans houses you do not have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom or to the bathroom. Our bathroom is located off the living room. The apartment is comfortably furnished with a queen size bed in each of the spacious bedrooms and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room. There is a dining table which seats six. There are lots of windows and natural light.

The location is excellent: three blocks to St. Charles Avenue with the street car for a ride downtown to the French Quarter or uptown to Audubon Park, Tulane University and Loyola University. The apartment is three to six blocks to the Mardi Gras parades on Napoleon and St. Charles and ten short blocks to Magazine to see the Muses among other parades. Cafes and restaurants are as close as around the corner or only a few blocks away. Magazine Street with all its restaurants and boutiques is within several blocks as are a drug store and a grocery store. Freret Street, also a few blocks away, has a monthly festival as well as many new and exciting restaurants.

Among our favorites just around the corner is a Il Posto, a European café which is great for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. Two blocks away are Charlie’s steakhouse and Pascal’s Manale, a seafood restaurant. Manhattan Jack, which just opened a couple of months ago, has the best bagels in New Orleans as well as all sorts of other wonderful baked good, sandwiches and weekend brunch. The list of great places to eat in New Orleans is endless. We live downstairs and are available to answer questions or to offer suggestions.

This is a wonderful place to stay for your visit to New Orleans and enjoy all the fun and charm of this unique city!

We chose this property because we liked the neighborhood and it was close to our family here. We have since decided it is the best place to live in NOLA. It is so convenient to everything and we rarely use our car. We also love the character and charm of our house and of the neighborhood.

What makes this apartment unique

Comfortable apartment, great neighborhood and location.

Recent stay to attend Jazz Fest (awesome!), comfortable/worked for 3 couples. Clean, efficient, fairly modern upstairs apartment. Owners attentive to requests. Neighborhood great - quiet, interesting, convenient to trolley/bus - even at late night, 1 a.m. walks back. Great neighborhood restaurants and bars. Safe, plenty of parking on street in front. Enjoyable stay.

Perfect New Orleans location

We had a lovely time on our trip to New Orleans. This home is perfectly located by a couple trendy and delicious coffee and breakfast places. We were also walking distance to the streetcar, and a slightly longer walk to Audubon Park, etc.

The home was very comfortable for our family of 4--2 bedrooms plus a good pullout sofa.

Very charming apartment !

Apartment :

It is part of a house with multiple apts - I THINK there are three other apartments in the house (could be 2 other apts). The owners live downstairs but don't let that throw you off though - the owners seemed to be very nice people and not intrusive at all (in fact, we rarely saw them). Loved the house - it was an older home with very high ceilings and what appeared to be quite a bit of the original architecture. I loved this aspect.

We had everything we needed from linens to misc items like hair dryer, coffee supplies etc. If you wanted to cook - there were dishes/pans etc so that you could cook (but who cooks in NOLA?). Everything was clean and comfortable. Someone must be a reader because there are a good supply of magazines/ books which were much appreciated after a long day of walking - it was nice just to chill for a minute. Speaking of chill - we had a (very thoughtful) goody basket when they got there - some snacks and Zapps chips (that we are now addicted to) and a bottle of wine !

They have a washer and dryer for you to use - this was very beneficial to us. The beds were SUPER comfy - nice fluffy linens. Nice supply of towels. Water pressure (important to me) was good. Parking on the street was absolutely no problem. The ONLY down point was the internet was acting crazy - it was very slow and at times non-existent - Pat said that she had been talking with the company trying to determine issue.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this rental. It was exactly what we needed for a family of four. It was out of the craziness of the French Qtr but still close to some good restaurants. You have to take the streetcar to the French Qtr (or a taxi ). The streetcar : overall experience was good but they could be VERY crowded at 'stand up/squeeze in' crowded.

Neighborhood: nice, tree lined street - felt comfortable walking to streetcar pickup. There is some renovation going on at several of the houses but that result will only be better for the neighborhood. There are two coffee/breakfast places just like a block away - II POSTO and The French Truck - very convenient Superior Seafood is not far away and we LOVED (loved) our meal. Also close by that we went to - DAT DOGS (hotdogs w/ gourmet toppings) and the Creole Creamery - the kids liked both of these places.

Very happy with our experience at Pat's house and would stay again.

The perfect New Orleans getaway spot!

We were so comfortable in this charming apartment during our stay in New Orleans. The building is adorable and located in a great part of town, very convenient and quiet. The rooms were spacious and richly-detailed and got great sunlight. The kitchen provided a perfect space to cook our own meals and a comfortable area to eat them at. There was a mechanical issue our first day there which was addressed promptly and graciously. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect for my families needs!

Pat was accommodating and the place was the perfect space for my family of 5. Beds were very comfy, place was clean and there was plenty of seating. It wasn't too far from bourbon street and the neighborhood felt safe. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful experience in this Uptown gem!

My family of 4 had a fantastic time staying in the Uptown property. The place was so clean, comfortable, and homey, and the owner's had paid attention to every detail, right down to a welcome basket of snacks and a bottle of wine for our arrival! We loved being in the neighborhood, where it was quiet, safe and parking was easy. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was newly updated. We had everything we needed for our stay. Our children loved the huge windows, the flatscreen TV and walking to the streetcar. I highly recommend this property!
