Large 2 Bedroom, 2 Full Baths Newly Remodeled With Fantastic View

Modern, fully updated spotless condo with a great view of the beach. Everything is new, from the stainless appliance package to the commercial sized washer and dryer, Egyptian cotton beach towels and super high quality linens. Two large bedrooms and two full baths. Over 1000 square feet of open, airy space.

Every time we enter our condo, we are struck by how beautiful the view is. One wall of the living room is entirely made of glass, and the light fills the whole space. The lanai is over 16 feet wide and provides a great space to hang out, watch the waves and surfers, and enjoy the tropical weather.

Update, on 9/24/13 we installed a $9k sliding glass door unit even though the old unit functioned fine. The update is just part of our commitment to make sure our guests have a great experience. I am so happy with this change. The difference the insulated, double pane glass made was huge. Very energy efficient and so quiet. There are only 12 units in all of the building with these doors. I wouldn't stay in a unit without them.

We have furnished our condo to be modern and comfortable. You will find full sized couch and chairs, two king sized beds, tons of storage, large closets. The kitchen is outfitted with a new whirlpool appliance suite including microwave, dishwasher, self cleaning glass topped range and refrigerator with ice maker. We even have special outlets that have USB chargers built into them. The kitchen is outfitted with top quality pans, knives and small appliances.

Free WiFi, phone calls to the us and Canada. A large flat screen TV in the living room and another flat screen in one bedroom. Both have blue ray players attached.

Island surf is in a great central location. Immediately to the north is a area the locals call 'the Triangle'. It has lots of shops and scores of restaurants and night spots. Across the street is Kalama park, offering playgrounds, roller hockey, volleyball, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and wide open spaces to play catch or just hang on the grass. You can watch your friends and family play in the surf right from the front room.

A short drive to the south puts you in the heart of Wailea with upscale dining, shopping and more wonderful beaches.

Island surf houses many great businesses. You can rent bicycles, get a manicure or spa treatment, book a scuba dive, rent surf boards, or eat a great plate lunch all without never leaving the building.

There is a pool and BBQ area on the second floor, both with ocean views.

-new kitchen: dishwasher, microwave, glass topped self cleaning oven, coffee maker and grinder, blender, toaster, tea pot, rice cooker, high end knives, pots and pans.

-our on-island contact is within walking distance to the condo and will promptly attend to any issues you may encounter.

About Matt Keller

We live in the Seattle area and have been visiting Hawaii frequently for the past 15 years. After visiting different islands, we settled on Maui as the best combination of recreation and amenities. We believe you simply cannot do better than Maui. There is a reason the movie stars vacation here!

After looking at scores of condos, we snapped up our unit in the Island Surf. It had the best combination of views, layout, and location. We have found that we can park our car for days at a time and walk to everything. Our unit was dated and tired, so we launched into a full scale remodel. We love the newness of the unit now and the modern feel.

Our plan is to retire and split our time between Maui and Seattle area. Until then, we wanted to share our great location and remodeled unit with others.

Why Matt Keller chose Maui

We have seen Island Surf on all of our trips to Maui. In fact, we have rented surf boards on the bottom floor in the building. When a unit came for sale, we jumped at the opportunity. It has such a great location, is within walking distance to so many amenities, and the unit has great views with a open and airy feel. It also was over 1000 square feet, huge by Hawaiian standards. After looking at Island Surf for so many years, we are still in awe that we were able to buy here.

What makes this condo unique

The best benefit of Island Surf is the view. Following close behind is the size and layout of the unit, 1000 square feet with one wall entirely of glass providing a great, open feeling. Combine that with the central location and ability to walk to so many attractions and you just can't beat it.

Great condo, great location

The condo was perfect for our trip to Maui. The AC was a blessing and having items like beach chairs and an umbrella made the August heat bearable. The location is great as we could walk to several beaches, restaurants and the grocery store. Will definitely stay here again!

Wow!

The care and thought that Matt and Colleen took when renovating this condo was evident from the moment we opened the door. This was our last island and condo during our vacation and we really couldn't have picked a better place. It's bright and airy, well laid out and has plenty of furnishing so that all four of us could be comfortable. The view out of the amazing sliding door was lovely for watching waves or people in the park while the offset angle to the street helped maintain the quiet and tranquility. Everything you could need, from q-tips to ziploc bags, was provided. There was beach gear galore but in case something didn't fit there were several rental places close by. The fact that both bedrooms had true king sized beds was a huge plus for both of us couples. I do however wish that both bedrooms had a television instead of just the master. Matt was super easy to work with and even called to check on us the morning after we arrived! He and his wife have left a book of suggested places/beaches/restaurants to visit that were perfect for those unfamiliar to the area. My only regret - besides having to go home lol! - is that we didn't actually get to meet them in person due to our jam packed schedule as they were on island at the same time we were. I would recommend this condo in a heartbeat to anyone looking to visit Maui!

This condo is perfect for all

We stayed here for 5 nights and were sad we didn't stay longer; the place is perfect. Its super clean, modern, comfortable and has everything and even more then one needs on vacation. The location is South Kihei is great and close to everything and lots of cool restaurants, grocery store and water activities rentals are within walking distance. Air conditioning in each room is very convenient and was the only place from several others we stayed in Hawaii that had it. The owner is very friendly, has useful information in the apartment and was very easy and pleasure top deal with. There are absolutely no negatives in this place and if we come in the future we would just spend all the time in this place since it cannot be any better.

The absolute BEST condo!

My husband and I stayed comfortably at this condo with my in-laws for 11 nights. Both bedrooms were spacious and I have to highlight how impressed I was with the comfort of the California king beds in BOTH rooms. I remember specifically emailing Matt, the owner, to ask how comfortable the beds were and he nailed it - they were awesome. The entire condo was so clean and equipped with everything we needed so it made for easy home living. The lanai.... so beautiful. Every morning we would brew our coffee and sit at the patio set and watch the ocean - it's fabulous.The condo is in such a great location you could walk to many attractions ie. restaurants, grocery store, even the gym! We did however rent a vehicle which did come in handy to explore other parts of the island. Maui Wave Riders across the street were awesome, just a skip over the street and you're in the ocean learning to surf!

All in all I can't say enough about how much we loved this condo and it really made our vacation that much more enjoyable.

Lastly - I need to highlight how awesome Matt is to deal with. I've stayed at quite a few VRBOs and never have I received such incredible service. I felt he really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Any questions I had he was prompt with a reply and SO SO SO helpful with suggestions of what to do and where to go if you're curious. This owner and this rental by far exceeded our expectations and we will most definitely be back.
