The home was built in 1990, our family are all grown and we have an empty nest. It's been a great home for us for family and friends We know it's a great place to entertain and plenty of room for gathering and visits. We have had so much fun and we enjoy making memories here and we'd like to share that with you.
Why Owner chose Suttons Bay
We love this property because it is 'Thee Great Up North Experience'. We really have lived our lives in the 'Up North' Vacation Model. We have walked and hiked, played and explored. We love the character and privacy of the property. The house sits on a clear lot about an acre or two. The road that runs by is very quiet. It's a mere 1/2 mile to the Shoreline of Grand Traverse Bay and M-22. It can be whatever you want. Minutes from anything and anywhere you WANT to be. Yet A Million miles away from Everything you don't.
What makes this House unique
It's proximity to Everything Leelanau and Grand Traverse County. It's a Vactioners Paradise. BUT We love the privacy of the property. The house sits on a clear lot about an acre or two, on this road that is hardly used by the public. It has a Huge open floor plan. Lots of room for sleeping. Lots of room for entertaining. Lots of room outside. 'Room to Run' We remodeled in 2007 and refreshed the home again in 2013. All new Carpet in 2014 , New roof June 2016, and a New Furnace Jan 2018. It's big, spacious, light , bright, cozy, comfortable and durable. It's been a great home for us with a large family, friends, relatives. It's a great place to entertain and relax.

Very spacious, neat, clean and comfy. Owners are amazing!
Our family of 12 loved this vacation home! Much larger than the pictures show. Four bedrooms up was perfect for each family with grandma in the master. The girls had a perfect playroom in the loft area. Decorated so nice, we really felt like we were at home. Fire pit was used every night no matter how hot it was. We had lots of outside toys for the girls to enjoy with plenty of room. Everyone was worried about 1 1/2 bathrooms but really it wasn't a problem. We enjoyed kayaking the Crystal River, Wineries (Chateau Fontaine and Silver Leaf are our favorites), beach and shopping in Sutton's Bay, Northport and Leland. Don't forget about the Traverse lighthouse. The Knot was a great local restaurant only 1 1/2 miles away. We only had one rainy night and we had plenty of room for card games, reading and puzzles. I would highly recommend this house for families. Thank you Cheryl and it was nice running into you in town! Kathy from GR.
Kathy it was so nice to have your family stay with us. We mentioned several times "It looks like that family is having fun at the house." That is how it should be used. It has been a durable building and peaceful wonderful place for us to raise our children and I am so glad we get to share it with others like you. I appreciate the care you took with our place. You had everything ready and organized. You are an amazing tenant and I highly recommend you for renting anywhere. If we rent again in the future you are welcome to come back!!!

Great place for family!
Everything was exactly as described and our entire family of 8 had a great time. Clean, airy, lots of space to spread out. Hot tub and fire pit were great ways to end the day. Close to the spectacular sites of northern Michigan. We requested a large cooking pot and within 20 minutes the owner dropped one off. Thank you Cheryl for sharing this lovely home with us!

Beautiful Place to Stay!
This was our second stay at this property, and we had as good a time this year as we did last year. The house is immaculate, the decor cheerful and charming, and all the beds are comfortable! The spacious kitchen is well equipped with anything needed at hand. There are plenty of comfortable chairs and couches for lounging. We loved the roomy deck and the gas grill. The house is located in a very quiet area, wonderful for hearing birdsong in the morning. But it's close to the little towns, the parks, the beaches, and Traverse City. Many thanks to the owner for providing such a lovely and homey rental house.
Our family of six adults had a wonderful and relaxing time at this charming and quiet place. The house is spacious, very clean, and cheerfully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped. The furniture is plentiful and comfortable. The bedrooms are pretty and peaceful, and the beds are comfortable too. The house's setting in the woods is lovely and very quiet (if you love birdsong, this is the place for you). However, nothing is very far away! We could easily drive to Northport, Suttons Bay, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Traverse City. We would be happy to stay in this place again.
Thank you so much for the nice compliments. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We love to see what the guests share about the things that make it a memorable vacation. Thank You for leaving the house so nice when you left. It is greatly appreciated. Please come back and stay with us in the future you are wonderful guests.
