About Barb Bode

I grew up in this house. I have spent the last several years restoring my childhood home. My most recent project was getting the wood floors restored and installing wood trim to augment the existing trim. My husband and I love the area and the opportunities it provides for ATV riding, fishing, mountain biking and hiking. I also enjoy playing golf in Richfield.

Barb Bode purchased this farmhouse in 2001

Why Barb Bode chose Utah

This property belonged to my parents. After they passed away we decided to do some serious remodleing, you know get rid of the pink carpet and wall paneling as well as the purple shag carpet in the bedroom, and turn the home into a vacation rental.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Plenty of parking for ATV trailers or extra vehicles. Nice patio to sit and enjoy the weather. Deer can often be seen walking down the road or munching on crabapples or hay stacks. Two mountain bikes are available for use. Use this as a base to see the nearby state and national parks.

A sweet spot from which to experience Utah!

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I spent a week in this lovely home. It is a very comfortable and convenient base from which to check out the beautiful National Parks. (We explored 5!). Also, everything we needed for daily living was provided and the house was spotless. We loved walking thru the neighborhood and found the neighbors to be very friendly. It was so fun for us city girls to be surrounded by so many animals (horses, chickens, goats, cows, etc. ) I would love to return some day!

Owner's Response: The house does make a nice centrally located hub for exploring the national parks. The small town atmosphere is a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We loved this Glenwood home!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay. Our family spent spring break down in Glenwood and we brought our RZR and four-wheeler for some outdoor fun. We were able to ride to trails directly from the house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely visit again.

Owner's Response: The Paiute ATV trail with 900 + miles of trail provides a great opportunity for ATVing in the area. The side trail that runs through Glenwood allows you to access the trail directly from the house. It's a great place for some outdoor adventure.

Cozy home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 6 enjoyed our time at this cozy home in Glenwood! The location was perfect for us as we traveled to Capitol Reef, Fremont Indian State park, and Cove Fort for spring break. The house is clean and well stocked with everything we needed and more. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family!

Great house and even better price

  • 5 of 5

We just spent the weekend in this property while attending a wrestling tournament for my son. It was in a great location. Very quiet and had everything we needed. Much better than staying at a hotel.

Owner's Response: I knew you would enjoy having the extra space. It's good the hotels were all full or you would have missed out. Keep us in mind next time you are in the area or if you want to get out of the heat this summer.

Quiet Location, Lots of Charm, Fun for Kids

  • 5 of 5

It is nestled in a very small and quiet community about 5 miles from the larger town of Richfield, UT. The ATV trails are right down the road about two blocks down which I used for trail running while I was there and saw over a dozen deer the last morning I was there. The property was well kept. Our kids introduced themselves to the horse and the goat. The inside was very clean and well stocked. Beds were comfortable. The floors were very squeaky but understandable for an older home with charm (includes many of the original door knobs). This was a very affordable rental for our large family and definitely beats a cramped hotel room anyday!

Owner's Response: It is nice to have the room you need for a family plus the cost is comparable with a hotel. Having access to the ATV trails close is also convenient. We try to keep the house stocked with the necessities and to make it feel like home.

Owner's Response: Having a house with all the comforts of home is so much nicer than staying in a camper or tent. There is some great hunting and fishing in the area. We always appreciate repeat tenants.

If you like the outdoors this is the place for you. You can ride the Paiute ATV trail, go mountain biking, or start a hike right from the front porch. Try your hand at fishing at Fish Lake, Koosharem Res, on the Sevier river, or in one of the many mountain lakes and streams. Visit Capitol Reef National Park, Fremont Indian State Park, Big Rock Candy Mountain. Go rafting on the Sevier River. I grew up in this area and can provide personal insight on where to go and what to see.
