This restored farm house has beautiful wood trim. The original wood flooring has been refinished. The furnishings have been selected to reflect the early period of the home but with comfort in mind. The period style sitting chairs and love seat all recline to make watching a movie on the 3D TV and Blu-ray player a comfortable experience. The large bedroom has two full size beds and plenty of closet space, the second bedroom has a full size bed with a beautiful handmade quilt. The kitchen is fully furnished and even includes some staples like flour, sugar, peanut butter etc. The bathroom includes a jetted tub and a separate shower. The yard is large a spacious with plenty of room to park ATV trailers and extra vehicles. The patio is equipped with a gas barbeque grill and dining table as well as chairs for lounging in the shade while the kids play on the spacious lawn. The home is centrally located to Capital Reef National Park, Fish Lake, and the Fremont Indian State Park. For ATV enthusiasts the Piute ATV Trail System, which has over 900 miles of trail, can be accessed directly from the house. A listing of suggested routes can be provided to make your experience on the trail system memorable. Two mountain bikes can be provided on request. These are great for cruising around town or riding some of the nearby trails.
I grew up in this house. I have spent the last several years restoring my childhood home. My most recent project was getting the wood floors restored and installing wood trim to augment the existing trim. My husband and I love the area and the opportunities it provides for ATV riding, fishing, mountain biking and hiking. I also enjoy playing golf in Richfield.
Barb Bode purchased this farmhouse in 2001
This property belonged to my parents. After they passed away we decided to do some serious remodleing, you know get rid of the pink carpet and wall panelling as well as the purple shag carpet in the bedroom, and turn the home into a vacation rental.
Plenty of parking for ATV trailers or extra vehicles. Nice patio to sit and enjoy the weather. Deer can often be seen walking down the road or munching on crabapples or hay stacks. Two mountain bikes are available for use. Use this as a base to see the nearby state and national parks.

We (3 Adult men) came to ride ATV’s at the Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree in Richfield, all the way from the East coast…our 1st time to Utah. We rented this house and couldn’t have been more pleased with our accommodation selection. The Owner has the house set-up with all the essentials that you would need…just like HOME! We could ride our ATV’s straight from the house to the trails or to Richfield as needed. The beds were VERY comfortable, not some cheapo mattress set, which helped us get a good nights sleep. Communication with the owner was fast, easy, & efficient! There was ample space on the property for us to do maintenance on the ATV's. This place is perfect for any ATV'er and anyone else who wants to "stretch their wings" as opposed to being cramped up in a motel. If this trip is ever possible again, we plan to be a REPEAT customer! Thanks again! - Andy
We have travelled to Utah several times over the past 10 years to ride the surrounding ATV trails. This house had easy access to the trails, which was a major factor in our decision. The house is nicely redone and comfortable. There were 5 men in our group. The house was a good fit for our needs and the owner was very accommodating. Three minor issues. This kitchen cabinet shelves needed cleaning. A regular size gas grill would have been nice. The grass in the front yard was very nice, but the sandburs in the backyard were a nuisance. We recommend this property and would we hope to stay there again.
We rented this adorable ranch style home for a week while we rode the Paiute & Manti Trails. Riding right out of the neighborhood onto the trails was what drew us to this home. We loved the simplicity and coziness and how quiet the neighborhood was. There was a cute family across the street where their kids were super friendly and sweet! The reviews from others were all correct about how great this place is! Barb had it all stocked with the essentials you need when you're home (minus most foods - even though there were plenty of other food items in the fridge & cabinets!) The home was also equipped with wifi, big screen (although we never even used it, it looked nice!), all pots/pans, utensils, tons of towels... even provided laundry detergent to do your wash!! Bathroom was spacious, nice and clean with blow dryer, lotion, hairspray, etc... Shower had a soap/shampoo dispenser, in case you didn't bring yours! The home had a swamp cooler which worked beautifully during the hot days. There's even a basket full of maps and guidebooks that came in handy for reference! She's thought of it all! Glenwood is conveniently located about 5 minutes from Richfield, so it was easy to go into "town" for other essentials and dining. Richfield has an indoor pool at the rec center but we opted for the outdoor pool in Salina - only about $2.50-$3.00 to get in!! Lastly, make sure you stop into the Frontier Village Restaurant! Best service and food... we ate there at least twice cause it was so good! Thanks for a great place to stay, it made it that much more enjoyable! Kurt, Becky, Jared & Evan
We just enjoyed our 2nd trip to this beautiful farmhouse. We love the well stocked kitchen to prepare our meals. Thanks for the mountain bikes; we did take one ride. It was perfect for riding ATV's nearby and the host is great! Rich, Melody, Kathy, Bill, and Scoop
Our second summer visiting Utah and staying in Glenwood. We were not disappointed. The home is warm and cozy, lovely yard with lots of green grass. Our family enjoyed day trips to near by Fish Lake, Maple Grove campground where we hiked, grandchildren fished in the creek and swung on rope swings hanging over the water. When not on the go we relaxed and played bocce ball and badminton. Sat on the big porch and watched the resident hummingbird protecting her tiny nest. The near by town of Richfield has everything you need to make your trip complete. Be sure to visit the Ideal Dairy for an ice cream treat and the Vanilla Bean Bakery has yummy treats too. My favorite is the lemon bars. The owner is a pleasure to work with and we hope to visit again in the future. Thanks, Barb!
We certainly enjoyed our weekend at the VRBO home in Glenwood. It was comfortable and clean, nicely furnished and a great place to relax. We were able to spend time with family, who live close by.
The surroundings are great, so quiet and peaceful. We plan to spend more time there this summer.
If you like the outdoors this is the place for you. You can ride the Paiute ATV trail, go mountain biking, or start a hike right from the front porch. Try your hand at fishing at Fish Lake, Koosharem Res, on the Sevier river, or in one of the many mountain lakes and streams. Visit Capitol Reef National Park, Fremont Indian State Park, Big Rock Candy Mountain. Go rafting on the Sevier River. I grew up in this area and can provide personal insight on where to go and what to see.
