Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

NOT AFFECTED BY THE RECENT WILD FIRE! 2bedrooms, 2bathrooms, epic views!

Heiter in German means serene, and there is no doubt how this home got its name the Heiter House. It is the perfect setting and environment for relaxing in beautiful Sonoma Wine Country. With a perfect mix of modern yet homey décor coupled with the views of Sugarloaf, this house is bound to offer the perfect getaway for anyone who loves gorgeous views and enjoys being a bit removed from the hustle and bustle. However, although you feel like you have escaped to a secluded retreat, the house is located a short drive from some of the most famous Sonoma wineries. Some of which include: BR Cohn, Chateau St. Jean, Landmark, Ledson, Kaz, Kenwood, Kunde, Imagery, Mayo, St Francis, VJB and Arrowood.

While everything is easily accessible, you may never want to leave once you have arrived at Heiter House. You immediately feel the peace that is offered by being perched on top of a hill and gazing out over the breathtaking mountains. If you do make it out to explore Jack London State Park or any of the surrounding local wineries, when you return home you have a hot tub waiting for you that has the greatest views of the entire property. The house has been set up with entertaining and comfort in mind. You can dine inside and look out over the valley with the large bay windows in the front of the house or take it au naturale and dine on the picnic table under the beautiful Sonoma Sky.

There are 2 bedrooms with king beds that sleep in total 4 and two full baths. There is an open plan kitchen, a living and dining area.

The kitchen comes with all the necessary appliances (no dishwasher), and is complete with all the utensils, dishes, wine glasses, and cookware for whipping up a great meal to share in the spectacular setting.

The Heiter House is completely renovated with hardwood floors, custom high-end furnishings, and a beautiful streamline décor. It is a brilliant alternative for couples seeking privacy, friends sharing a vacation, or families who want to experience Wine Country in a more intimate and serene setting. Enjoy the Heiter House!

Great base for hiking, biking, and wine tasting

  • 5 of 5

The Heiter House is a great base of operations for a weekend or extended getaway in Sonoma. It's in a quiet and seemingly isolated location with easy access to the wineries, state parks and even restaurants in Santa Rosa. The property has a stunning view of the mountains from the deck, where hot tub sits and so will you. The house is spacious and exudes a warm, comfy feel. The outdoor BBQ comes in handy when you don't feel like heading back out after a long day's wine tasting or hiking/biking but you want that fresh country air.

A perfect spot for a weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The Heiter House is ideal because it offers comfortable seclusion while still being a short drive from wineries and restaurants. We spent most of our time lounging and barbecuing with friends, and we made sure to start and end our days in the hot tub enjoying the beautifully scenic view the home has to offer.

We spent our last day tasting at nearby wineries Landmark, and Chateau St. Jean. In short, we had a wonderful stay at the Heiter House and will be back!

Escape to Sonoma Valley!

  • 5 of 5

Highly Recommend! Looking for a wonderful place to explore Sonoma Valley? This is the place. My husband and I spent this past weekend with friends in this well-appointed, comfortable two-bedroom house. Large sliding doors lead from the living room/dining area into a lovely backyard garden with a hot tub overlooking the romantic rolling hillside.

A perfect place for a quiet dinner or a lively party for a dozen people, the charm of this place makes it feel like you have come home. The place has plenty of outdoor barbecue dinning and the kitchen is cozy. One can easily drive to Michelin Star restaurants in minutes!

Ciji was gracious and most helpful with suggestions and directions to Kenwood’s downtown farmers market (Sundays in the Spring- Autumn).

Thanks again for having us! Hope to be back soon!

Great Sonoma Valley retreat close to wineries

  • 5 of 5

Great location in the center of Sonoma Valley, feels secluded and serene yet in close proximity to wineries like Kunde, Kenwood and VJB, where we enjoyed a perfect pizza for lunch. Amazing view of mountains and sloping vineyards. Everything was clean and well maintained. Really liked the grill for a BBQ with al fresco dining. Most memorable of all is to enjoy the Sonoma night sky from the hot tub. We'd love to come back.
